They'd arrived back in Neji's abode, the hallways were eerily empty since Neji had dismissed all the staff for the day just before they'd left. Hanabi wasn't around either since she'd been visiting Hinata.

Neji was torn. He didn't know if he should speak up to comfort her or if his voice would only upset her further.

In the end he decided to speak, knowing that he'd regret it less to.

After all one always regrets the things they didn't do—the opportunities they were to afraid to take a hold of—more as opposed to the things they were bold enough to do.

"Tenten I—" he wanted to apologize. To apologize for putting her through such pains. There was a reason the "brides" before her were never sent back home. It only due to Neji's divine interference that the villagers hadn't caught wind of them.

The words lodged themselves in his throat. He sputtered and failed.

"Thank you," she said, "Thank you for taking me. Even though it wasn't my favourite memory of my family it'll remain immortalized in my heart. I'm glad I was able to say good bye properly."

She turned to him and smiled. God or not Neji was star struck. It was the first time she'd legitimately smiled at him directly.

The warm, fuzzy feeling it'd created in his heart was enough to make him fully commit himself to making it a daily occurrence.

In order to not look like a love-struck fool, he cleared his throat and spoke hoping that he sounded as serious as he usually was, "I'm glad it made you happy."

Her eyes softened and her smile deepened.

"You were right though," he continued, "I shouldn't have gone things would've g—"

Her smile faded and she took both of her hands and placed them on Neji's cheeks pulling him down to look at her.

"Listen you didn't do anything wrong. They—my family is just like that. Logical and practical to a fault...I am too...Give them some time and they'll come around.

I really appreciate this, I know it must not have been as simple as it looked," she said her eyes were fixed on his.

Neji's attention merely fixed on her face. Unable to say anything.
She leaned upwards and pecked him on his lips. Neji was astonished. Before he could relish in the feeling she'd pulled back and was as crimson faced as he was.

"I'm sorry, I don't know why I did that at all..." she trailed off still clearly confused about her feelings.

Neji didn't say anything and instead stepped closer and planted a soft kiss in the corner of her mouth knowing she was still processing her feelings.

"Goodnight," he said as he turned to walk to his room leaving her to go back to hers.

He couldn't help but sneak a glance backwards. Tenten stood there. Her face was flushed as her fingertips lightly brushed the spot he had kissed as if still contemplating what had just happened.

It seems there was hope for them after all...

Tenten hadn't known how to describe her feelings. She couldn't put them in a labelled box. Despite her and Neji being "destined" for each other their relationship had been anything but easy. The circumstances were messy and while they complemented each other—they remained two very different people who clashed regularly because of it. Honestly speaking though Tenten liked what they had developed over these last few months—a friendship built on the foundation of deeply rooted trust and instinctual care for each other.
She'd been introduced to so many new things and people this past year. She was glad for that even if it was a little hard to immerse herself in this world at first. She'd felt as if she were born to be here. While she admittedly missed her family she did miss that stuffy town, oddly when she was by Neji's side any longings scattered to the distant reaches of her mind.

He gave her purpose. He have her courage. He gave her strength.
In return she gave him hope, light and empathy.

It wasn't hard to fall in love with Neji.
It wasn't a bad thing either she'd realized.
She felt herself slipping closer more and more everyday.

The bond between them was an intangible but felt as if it were a living, growing thing gaining strength with each passing day.

Their relationship could be best described as an indefatigable water lily. It's roots deeply rooted into the muddy soil, able to withstand anything...from the tinniest ripple on the waters surface to fearsome tides. Growing slowly but steadily before blossoming vehemently even in the murkiest of waters—it's beauty pure and undeniable.

Even with the war with the Akatsuki looming she wasn't afraid. The army at her back meant nothing. So long as Neji was by her side Tenten felt as if she could conquer the world if she so wished...

All in all she'd come to one major conclusion concerning her thoughts about Neji.

She hoped that one day she'd been able to voice these words aloud to clear the traces of guilt he'd clearly still felt about ripping her from her world....
Someday she voice these words but until then she'd keep repeating them as a mantra of sorts,"The things I'll miss, the people I'll leave behind and the dreams I'll forfeit are worth almost nothing when compared to the unbelievable happiness I'll find now that I'm finally by your side..."

•I'm planning to write a yokai au and maybe another modern au of some sort...

-->I plan for the yokai au to be a multi ship book—despite swearing to myself never to write such a story again after Alchemy😅—so feel free to send suggestions on the ships...

   I'll have to do a fair amount of    research for this fanfic so I can't say when I'll pst the first chapter yet. So keep this in your library or follow me to stay updated.

--> As for the modern au I haven't really decided on anything yet...I might have it as a series of one shots were I do a different ship, side au and prompt  every chapter as a freelance sort of thing or I might turn it into a full blown fic...Ideas are welcome!

•I created a YouTube channel were I plan to upload Anime Quiz videos (eg. Guess the anime opening). The quizzes I've done so far will be uploaded by this time tomorrow...they'll be fairly easy...if any of you are interested.

•I'm thinking of starting an anime blog on tumblr where I'll post memes, self-written analysis articles/opinions and short rants all centered around anime, manga and fanfiction writing/reading...Would anyone be interested in that? I could post it on Wattpad as well but you can access it via the internet without needing a tumblr account anyway...more details will be posted later on...please comment any ideas, suggestions or  questions...

•I wrote an bnha oneshot and posted it on ao3 if anyone likes that fandom and ships bkdk. I decided not to post it here in order to avoid backlash because of the ship. I'm not in the mood to be bashed and start shipping wars. So if you like the ship it's called "Soul Bound" and is published under the penname "frostfire". If you dislike the ship or if you don't watch bnha just leave it be...
