Sultan POV
"Begum!,"
I called aloud reaching her chamber.
Only I knew how those fifteen days passed without her. My lips curved in a smile as I was hiding a gift for her behind my back. But, where was she?
"Begum?"
I called again walking inside, checking in the dressing room.
Her chamber seems silent, clean as if it was untouched.
Had something happened? I doubted.
"Gulaab?" I called again.
But there was no answer from anywhere. I walked outside to check in the garden and the few places she loved to visit. But, I couldn't find her anywhere.
Maybe she was in Hammam as if was early morning and sometimes she used to take bath in the morning. I kept the box on the table and guided my footsteps towards the Hammam.
I knocked before directly entering inside but there was no answer.
Where the hell was she?
Now, I was feeling slightly afraid as if something happened in my absence.
I pushed the door open and to my surprise the water of the pool was untouched. She wasn't even there.
Now, I had to ask someone. I thought not to disturb anyone in this early morning but I think now I had to.
"Nagma,"
I called her.
"NAGMA!,"
I called again while walking back to her chamber and there she came running.
"Sultan,"
She bowed down.
"Where is Begum?"
Her face turned pale and that ignited my anger.
"I asked something, Nagma. Where is she?"
"Sultan... Sultan, she left the Palace,"
She sat on her knees and I yelled.
"What?????????"
"She left????"
"Whyyyyyyy?"
Suddenly, my sight fell on Zeenat who just entered. Maybe because she heard my voice.
"Rafiq,"
"Zeenat, what is she saying?"
I asked walking towards her.
"She is correct, Rafiq!"
"Gulaab was very upset and sad with what you did. You broke her heart,"
"I BROKE HER HEART? What?, When? How?"
I wasn't able to understand even a single word of her.
"You are attacking the Hind and she got to know about it. I tried to stop her but she left,"
"I am attacking Hind?"
Nothing was making sense.
"Yeah, She received a letter," She informed thinning her eyebrows.
"What letter?" I asked.
"Nagma, where is that letter?" She diverted her gaze to Nagma.
Nagma nodded and went from there.
"Where she went?" I asked.
"And when did she go?"
"She left for Hind, it was the very next day you left for Hamid," She informed thinning her eyebrows.
"What the hell?"
Anger rushed to my nerves as I yelled at Zeenat.
"And you didn't try to stop her?"
" I did,"
"I did Rafiq... But she was determined and... and everything happened so fast that I didnt get a chance to inform you,"
She said with hesitation and continued.
"But, Rafiq, She was correct. No woman can see her brother killed by her husband or her husband killed by her brother. I think you should stop thinking about Hind if you want her back,"
"Don't tell me what to do? You should have told me about this before. You helped her, right?"
"Yes, I did," She replied with confidence.
My nerves were paining with anger. I just wanted to kill someone right now. I walked a little and threw the box to another side of the chamber in anger. This was not supposed to be done, Gulaab.
"Sultan,"
Nagma interrupted.
I turned and snatched the letter from her hand. Unrolling it, my eyes scanned whatever was written and it made sense to me in a fraction of a moment.
"Nagma, write a letter to Ibrahim,"
She nodded.
"Send Shakib to him with this letter and ask him to confirm if Ibrahim sent this or not?" She nodded.
"Zeenat,"
I turned to her.
"Yes," She asked.
"This is just a misunderstanding. I need to leave. Take care of the Empire until I come back,"
"And Nagma, Ask a few soldiers to be ready," I ordered her.
"Zeenat,"
I walked to her.
"How many soldiers went with her? I hope she took convoy with her,"
She shook her head.
"No, Rafiq, She left in hurry and she was leaving alone but I sent a few soldiers with her,"
This made my anger burn even more.
"She is the damn Queen of Sultanate. This was not expected from you, Zeenat,"
"I am sorry, Rafiq. But, everything happened so fast that even I couldn't understand anything," She apologized and a tear slipped her eyes.
I had to hurry. She must have crossed half of the route because two weeks had passed. Also, she was precisely alone. This was not supposed to be done. What if she fell into some problem?
My heart racing insanely. If I could, then I would have reached her in a few moments only.
But, without wasting any more time on anything. I walked back to my horse and left the Empire. Only a few soldiers joined me.
We had been fast, constant and quick.
I wasn't angry precisely I was worried for her. She was alone and the princess. God knew If she was fine. All I wanted was to see her fine and fit. The destination was almost a thousand away and anything could happen to her in the middle of the way.
Each time, I imagine this my heartbeat insanely.
Running day and night, we rested only a few times. I got tired, the soldiers too but they understood my emotions.
The determination and sleep nights paid well as we reached the Hind in just seventeen days. I had lost a little weight by then, I was tired and exhausted too.
The soldiers landed their sight on me and looked confused.
They must have recognized me as one of them ran from there and others waited for approval.
The soldiers came back running and muttered something in their ear.
They pushed the door open for me and I entered the Empire of Mahabaleshgarh. I and my Begum were only a few moments away. God Swear, I just wanted to hear that she reached safely and all I wanted was she her only once.
But, her angry brother came running to me the moment I stepped down from my horse.
His fist tightened around my collar as he yelled at me.
"What the hell you did to my sister?"
My anger ignited just by looking at him. God swear I would have killed him by now if he wasn't the brother of her.
But, I had to be calm.
I took a breathe and held his hands to push them down as I didnt like him fisting my collars.
"Where is she? I want to talk to her?"
I informed him and asked.
But, instead of answering, he screamed.
"Forget about it, Answer my damn question. What the hell you did to my sister?"
His questions weren't making any sense to me.
"Leave me, I want to see her first,"
I yelled back at him. Why the hell was he that loud?
But, he was too foolish to understand and punched my face hard. The sky revolved in front of me because of the knuckle and this was it.
"Don't you dare to think about seeing her, I know you are behind of all this. What the hell happened to her? Why is she lying unconscious?"
He yelled.
His words brought a different kind of fear in me as I asked.
"She is lying unconscious?"
His punch again landed on my face. I took a few steps back with the force but my heart was paining insanely knowing the fact that my Begum was lying unconscious. Now, I was able to understand the pain of this man who was hitting my face again and again.
But, I didnt have time to explain everything. I worried if she had tried committing that same mistake. I hope she didn't try to kill herself again. I had to see her.
"Let me see her first for God sake,"
I yelled as I punched him hard. He was too stubborn and I was too determined to see her. My emotions were mixed with anger and care for her.
I tried to walk inside but he pushed me to the back and questioned me.
"I will not until you answer my damn question, What the hell YOU DID TO HER?"
For God sake, I did nothing.
I fell on the floor with sudden force.
I punched his face hard. He spits the blood and looked at me.
I pushed him aside and tried to stand and run from there to her chamber.
But, before I could. He caught me turned me to see him.
He was damn angry as he punched insanely in my stomach. I felt unbearable pain but my vision was too much surrounded by a face that I just wanted to see.
I fell on the floor near the pole and this was it. I had to kill him. I pushed him with the force of my leg as I hit him hard in the chest. He fell on the other side.
"I JUST WANT TO SEE MY WIFE FIRST!,"
I screamed in anger and noticed that we were surrounded by a crowd.
Suddenly, my attention was caught by a girlish voice.
"Ooouuuuuuuchhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"
Someone screamed and my sight diverted to a pregnant lady.
"Abhiiii," Begum's brother screamed running towards her.
Ohh, She was his wife. I took a few steps forward to see if she was fine or not but then reminded her that this was a chance.
I excused myself from the crowd and ran from there to her chamber. I remember all the places of Empire as I had there before.
I reached her chamber and there were a few soldiers standing outside. They looked at me and went from there. Perks of being a Son-in-law. Great!
I entered her chamber and the first thing I did was to lock the door behind me.
I walked past the partitions and entered her bedroom.
My sight fell on her she was lying on the bed. She lifted her gaze to me and stood up.
"Sultan?" Her face turned pale as she tries to run from there.
"Did you kill my brother?"
I held her wrist and pulled her closer. Snaking my arm around her waist, I pulled her even more closer.
Her heartbeats raced, face turned horrified as she tried to push me away.
"How dare you come here without telling me?"
"You attacked us? Right?" Her voice was terrified and loud.
"Tell me how dare you to?" I asked again.
But rather than answering my question, She pulled the dagger out of my band and kept it on my neck.
"I won't let you do anything to my Empire even if I have to kill you,"
"You don't trust me? Right?" I asked grabbing her hair and pulled her even more closer.
My heart was burning with pain and my nerves were fierce with anger. One moment I just wanted to punish her other I was relaxed to see her fine.
"Trust? I did trust you. I did. But, what you did? You planned to take my Empire. You planned all this behind my back. God knows if you faked your love to me to plan this smoothly behind my back,"
Her words hurt me like hell.
"You think, I was faking my love to plan all this?"
"I have seen the letter. You always wanted it. You planned this from the very beginning. You are such a clever person. You proposed to the wedding just because of it. If we denied the war between you and us became legal. And If we agreed you planned to take the information from me,"
Her eyes burning with anger.
"And what I did to you. Did I chain you? Did I throw you in the cellar? Did I beat you? Did I forc-"
"Stay away from my sister,"
Suddenly, he interrupted.
This was it. How many times I had to tell him that she was my wife and I need to talk to her. How many times have I had to tell him for god sake.
First Begum pissed my brain off then this man was testing my every patience.
"SHE IS MY WIFE,"
I screamed almost and turned my gaze back to Begum.
The sharpness of the dagger was touching my skin but I didn't care. She had tested me enough. I leaned in slowly and placed my lips over her and gently placed a small kiss. She turned shocked while her brother turned insanely mad.
His eyes burned with anger and he took a step forward. But his wife was sensible to stop him and said.
"Prince, let them talk,"
He looked at her while I could hear the slight voice of anklets.
"Gulaab,"
The voice of a lady was heard by everyone as she must have called from a far.
I instantly left her the moment she entered. She was her mother. Behind her, his father also arrived.
"What the hell is happening?"
She walked to Gulaab and asked.
"Gulaab, are you okay? What happened to you?"
Then her gaze shifted to me as she asked.
"Jawai Saa, you? Is everything okay?"
Her voice was sweet yet tense.
"Sultan?" Her father walked to me.
I greeted both of them and her father pulled me in a hug.
"yes, Your highness,"
"Is everything alright? Gentleman," He asked raking his eyes around all of us.
I looked at Begum whose face turned shocked and confusing when I answered.
"Of course, I just came to check if my Begum is safe or not. Since she looks fine, I request your leave,"
"No, you aren't allowed,"
Her mother interrupted.
"Since, you have come here for the first time after your wedding. I request you to stay here for some time,"
Sensible parents at least.
"Right? Gulaab," She turned to look at her.
Her eyes were confused as she looked at me and said slowly.
"Ji, Maa Saheb,"
"I will ask someone to show you the guest chamber," She informed.
"Umm, He can stay here with me,"
Gulaab interrupted and her mother smiled.
"Are you sure?" Her mother asked.
She nodded looking at me. But, turned my gaze to another side as I said.
"Its alright, I would like to stay alone for some time and she can stay here for the lifetime,"
