after getting scolded by his manager, everyone finally left jin alone. exhausted from whatever happened the day before, he lied down on his bed, sighing.

jin had winded up drunk after canceling his eatjin videos, considering no one was watching them, and if they were, they were always asking for the other members. (a/n: for you readers who aren't bts fans- eatjin were these videos seokjin would make of him eating and talking to fans on a live stream app via the V app + he actually did cancel his series for that very reason.)

what was the point?

after thinking for a bit, jin felt a buzz in his back pocket. unlocking his phone, he found a text from his friend saying he was busy and needed someone to pick up his daughter, mia, from school.

completely forgetting that mia went to the school that that woman taught at, jin said yes and left the building, driving to the nearby school.

after finding a parking spot, jin jogged to the front entrance of the school, where only mia was left waiting, considering his friend texted him quite late.

jin's eyes widened when he saw the woman from this morning holding mia's hand as they were probably waiting for him.

gulping, jin slowly walked forward. they seemed to be in a the middle of a conversation, so they didn't notice him at first until mia looked over and grinned at jin, shouting, "there he is!"

indigo gasped when she realized who the "really handsome and nice friend" her student was talking about. why did i have a feeling it really would be him?

mia ran into jin's arms as he chuckled at her giddiness. "jinnie! i haven't seen you in so long! where have you been? i missed you! did you not miss me?"

laughing at the cuteness of the kid, jin shook his head, "obviously i didn't miss you."

frowning, mia looked as if she was about to cry as indigo faced palmed herself, ready to scold him.

but jin wasn't finished, "or i would have given you this." jin took out a butterfly necklace from his pocket as the kid's eyes shined and giggled again, no longer upset.

indigo's crease lines disappeared as she internally awed, tried to hide a tiny smile.

mia gave jin a hug once more, telling him thank you as jin laughed at her, telling her, "how can i not miss my little monster?"

"yah! i'm not a monster," mia playfully frowned. "i'm a princess."

jin jokingly gasped, "but i'm the pink princess!"

giggling like the little kid she was, mia nodded her head hastily, "i forgot! you are the pink princess. that makes me the queen."

shaking his head at the child, jin smiled, "of course. if that's what you want to be, then be the queen."

indigo couldn't stop smiling at this point and gushed, "oh my god! are you sure you aren't her father? you guys are so cute together!"

jin looked up, only to see indigo covering her mouth in embarrassment. she hadn't meant to open her mouth or ruin the moment, and she had gone and done them both.

he laughed at her, giving her a smile. "nah. i wouldn't have minded if she was my daughter, but she's like a little sister to me either way. i always feel the need to protect her."

trying to erase her embarrassing moment, indigo tried to act closed-off as she nodded her head at the perfect pace and brought one eyebrow up. she said in a monotone voice, "that's cute."

mia saw the way jin half-smiled at her and squealed, running up to her teacher. "miss rye, jinnie is always so lonely and needs some love! will you give him that love?"

shocked at the suddenness of her question, indigo looked up at jin who looked embarrassed with reddening cheeks. stuttering, she shook her head quickly. "oh, mia," indigo started, licking her lips. "how do i say this? well...love doesn't come that easy, dear. someone can't just love someone that easily. especially to someone you barely know."

jin nodded with indigo, but mia wouldn't have it. she stomped her foot, "but miss rye! you said that there's no thing as true love, that you can love anyone and just like that. that it doesn't have to take years and that it doesn't have to be perfect; that it just has to be right. that you just need someone who will laugh and share secrets with you. that you just need someone who gets you giddy whenever you simply see them smile. that any true love is true love."

indigo gave a heartbreaking smile to the little girl. talker? yes. but smart? also yes. "yes- that's true, mia. i did say that."

mia crossed her arms with a frown. "then why don't you give it a try? you said you like boys who sing and jin is very good at singing! did you know he was fam-?"

jin covered her mouth quickly, shrugging it off with a fake chuckle. "mia, i think that's enough for today. miss rye and i don't know each other. it's hard for two people who don't know each other to love each other, don't you think?"

man, this is awkward, jin thought. this miss rye lady probably hates my guts.

"then get to know each other!"

indigo and jin's heads snapped towards mia.

"w-what?" indigo stuttered.

mia shrugged, "you two said you guys don't know each other, so get to know each other. i know you guys will both just go get some fast food and go home anyways, so why not make it a date and do it together? i'll third-wheel!"

jin laughed at the six year old's weird and advanced knowledge in terminology. especially contemporary ones. "where did you learn that word from?"

mia wagged her index finger in front of them. "no, no. you will not distract me from the subject, jinnie. let's go! i want chick-fil-a!"

and somehow, mia, a prodigious six year old, got a foreign celebrity and an elementary school teacher in the same car, going to chick-fil-a.
