Chapter 10: Telling
They reached Elliot's house and they headed upstairs to his room. Elliot pounced onto his bed and Wen sat down on the floor. Wen stared blankly at Elliot, but when Elliot got back up, Wen moved his gaze to the ground. Wen seemed to be shy, and didn't speak up, he kept his head down. "Hey Wen, think you could maybe, you know, show me your unlocked powers?" His head popped up in surprise.
"Yeah, but first, I have to heal you, then myself a bit better." He gave Elliot a soft smile, something was off. His arms extended back and he pushed himself back up. After getting up, his head was dizzy and his legs wobbled.
"Woah, you okay?" Elliot seemed to be very concerned about Wen's appearance. Wen just gave him a thumbs up, but his head was facing down again. However, right there and then, Wen's body collapsed to the floor. "Wen!"
Elliot started to panic, but some force was holding him down, and he couldn't move an inch. He tried to kick, but his muscles kept giving out. Wen was still unconscious on the floor, and Elliot was left useless to do anything to help Wen. Panicking, a few minutes later, Elliot figured out that he could finally move. He quickly jumped out of the bed and rushed over to help Wen. Shaking his shoulders, "Wake up Wen! I swear to God if you don't wake up, I will hurt someone!" No response. Elliot began to get desperate. He looked all around his room to find something useful. Breathing harder, he couldn't find anything that would help. "I gotta do something, just something, please!" Nothing came to his mind, he didn't have healing powers like Wen. Then he thought, "Maybe he's just exhausted and will wake up soon," so he scooped Wen into his arms and cuddled him.
It seemed like Elliot began to doze off because of his own exhausted body. They both laid on the ground, Elliot snuggling Wen. "I'm hom-," Sabrina walked in, seeing the boys laying on the floor. She gently smirked, rolled her eyes, and decided to let them be. They might have been cold, according to the situation she's seen, so she grabbed a blanket off of Elliot's bed and covered them both with it. Then she turned off the light that was in the hallway, that was shinning into the room, and closed the door behind her. Gladly, she didn't see their battle wounds.
In the middle of the night, Wen finally woke up. To this awakening, he saw that he was being cuddled by Elliot's soft, warm arms. However, he doesn't remember how he got where he was now. Elliot woke up a little bit after him, after Wen's realization of the situation. They both turned and looked at each other's faces, "Wen," Elliot whispered in surprise and relief. He tightly hugged him and kissed his forehead. Wen placed his left hand onto Elliot's chest.
"I still need to heal you," Wen joked, but was serious. A magic circle formed on Wen's hand, as well as Elliot's chest. In a split second, he fully healed him, and he repeated the process on himself. "Now, do you still want to see my unlocked powers, that I didn't know about?" He quoted with his fingers in the air. He chuckled, and Elliot shook his head.
"Nah, I think I have a good idea about them myself," and he gave Wen a cute, small wink. Wen blushed so easily from Elliot's adorable face. "But I still need to give you some answers." This feeling, in his words, the tone, was serious.
Wen positioned himself to sit, and stared at Elliot, waiting eagerly. Elliot sat up as well, and stared at Wen seriously. He began, "You unlocked powers...obviously," his hands were by his chest, finger were touching, and he was somewhat sweating. He laughed, "Sorry, it's hard to explain a long story." Wen swayed his body back, then forward again. He nodded for Elliot to actually explain and continue. His action was noticeable, so Elliot went on ahead to position himself and began. "I'll start from the beginning, but I may not speak every detail." He shrugged his shoulders, and cleared his throat. "We used to know each other, as I have said before...well, we do now, but before your memories were wiped. You may not believe me but we used to live in a different time sphere called Elias." Wen choked on his own spit.
"I'm good, keep going," he put one hand on his chest and the other up to signal Elliot. He responded with a nod, and cleared his throat again. Thoughts were running through Wen's head, unable to process that one detail, although there are many to come.
Elliot continued again, "I don't have enough magic or anything to go back there. This means that we are not from here, and neither is Nina." Wen remembered, shook now.
"Then what about your mom?" Elliot looked down, but he wasn't sad.
"She lost her memories, just like you did, but she hasn't received them back yet." Wen grabbed Elliot's hand gently and reassured him with just an emotional face. Silence was held for a while, before anyone spoke again.
Wen interrupted, "You don't have to explain anymore today, if you want to."
Elliot shook his head, "No, it's fine, I have more to tell you right now, at least I guess I do. Including how we may have got here."
Wen interrupted once more, "Then what about my parents?" Elliot rolled his other hand towards Wen, with the obvious answer in front of him. Ooohh," then he laughed at himself.
Elliot laughed with him for a moment. However, the room fell silent again. "Should we just go to sleep, Elliot? I'm still pretty tired from earlier." Elliot shrugged his shoulders and nothing was said. Another few moments later, Wen finally ended the conversation. He laid down again and pulled the blanket over his whole body, "Goodnight Elliot." The other boy said the same, "Goodnight Wen, sweet dreams." He pulled the blanket down a little, off of Wen's forehead and kissed it softly. They both fell sound asleep, on the floor, all cozy and warm.
