Well it's here! Part one of the My Hero Academia AU oneshot is finally finished! I will say that most of the romance will be in the second part, so don't expect too much from this one. But, I hope you can enjoy it regardless. Well anyway, let's get started!!!!
Also, I gave Link the last name 'Yūsha' cuz it means hero in Japanese. Just clearing that up.

Name: Y/N L/N
Age: 18
Occupation: UA Hero Course
Year: 3rd Year
Quirk: elemental emotion
Y/N's has the ability to control the elements of earth, water and fire, which are controlled based on her emotional state. This acts as her limitation barrier. If brought under enough stress, this limitation is lifted and all three elements can be used. Her control of these elements also increases, allowing her to generate other elements. By focusing her energy on the earth blow her, she essentially becomes a lightning rod, being able to control lightning. She can freely freeze and unfreeze her water. And she is able to control the temperature of her flames. Her friend, Zelda dubbed this state her "BFF" mode (Bolt, Frost, Flame)
After exiting her BFF mode, she will not be able to use her quirk for 3 days due to the sheer amount of energy used and the stress her body was put through. This is her shutdown period. Meditation usually helps her mind and body cool down at a more relaxed pace.

Y/N was a hero - at least, that's what she had been training to be. She had worked her butt off every day to get into UA; the best hero school in Japan, and then worked even harder to become worthy of protecting the city. Things had been going great in her life as she pursued her goal. She had managed to win second place in the UA sports festival, earned her license, managed to get the required grades to get noticed by a few hero organisations. Her future seemed clear.
The only problem is she never allowed herself any friends. She thought of them as distractions - only opportunities for enemies to strike her when vulnerable. She spent her first year like that, only ever talking to her classmates for team building exercises and practice missions. She allowed allies, but never let anyone get close enough to her that she became emotionally attached.
That is until they arrived, after she moved up to 2nd year.
Zelda was a remarkable girl. Beautiful, clever, and ever so quirky. A student in the Department of Support, which fixed up Y/N's suit to match her elemental abilities better... and miraculously fixed up her attitude too. Somehow she was able to make friends with the hero in training, forced her out of her bubble and pushed her to open up to being with others. Which was where she met Link.
The boy was Zelda's childhood friend and a hero in training. He was strong, courageous, kind, attractive - everything you wanted in a hero. In honesty, Y/N was jealous of the underclassman at first, but she soon found that he wasn't as perfect as he seemed. Their passion to become heroes is what got them talking, but their insecurities and imperfections is what really brought them together as friends.
Of course, Y/N was still worried about them getting hurt by her enemies. But this time she was worried for them rather than herself, and this time she knew she would be the first person to save them if anyone laid a hand on them.
Now Y/N was in her 3rd year, and Link and Zelda in their 2nd. And they were as inseparable as ever.
"Y/N!"
A voice called the girl just as she walked out of her class, causing her to turn in confusion. A girl with long blonde hair skipped over to her with a smile, which she returned with a smaller calmer one.
"Hey, Zel." She waved, leaning against the lockers to get out of the way of other students as she waited for the younger female "How's the elbow grease?"
Zelda grinned cutely "Wellllll, since you asked... I may have made a breakthrough while upgrading Link's hero costume~"
"You what now?"
"Well you know how Link's quirk only stays in use for a certain amount of minutes at a time?" The girl questioned, placing her hands on her hips, "If my hunches are correct, I might be able to extend that time period."
"That's great!" Y/N grinned "Any chance you could make my cool down period shorter, too?"
"That's a completely different matter, Y/N. You're body needs that time to heal."
"Hmph, buzzkill..."
The two girls began walking down the hall and towards the training grounds, where Link was always found practicing with his quirk after school. He was determined to push his ability as far as he could, in order to use it to protect everyone he cared about. Of course that sometimes meant he put himself in dangerous situations to 'prove his courage', but his girls were never far if things got out of hand. They had his back, and he had theirs.
"There he is." Y/N stated calmly when she saw Link in the middle of a circle of machines, which were designed to shoot balls at a target on command. Sure it was painful, but only if you get hit.
The machines took aim.
"Li—"
"Shh," Y/N placed a finger to Zelda's lips "You'll throw him off course..."
Link's eyes snapped open as the balls were launched at him, and he held his hands out as they began to produce spiralling blue energy, which materialised into long plasma swords. The boy spun on his left foot and sliced through the first round without skipping a beat, and continued to cut through any others that came close to him. His muscular arms moved at a speed that the girls couldn't follow, not that they expected any different. Link leaped into the air and began to swipe at every ball as if time had stopped, before landing outside the field just as each ball sliced open and fell to the floor.
Zelda and Y/N exchanged a glance, and began to approach.
The swords disappeared from Link's hands as he stood straight, allowing him to run a hand through his now messy hair and pull the collar of his loose grey tank to let in some air. He noticed the girls approach, which made all fatigue evaporate from his face and replace it with a smile.
"Zelda! Y/N!" He yelled happily as he jogged over to them, before taking them into his strong arms for an embrace.
"Ewewew!" Y/N yelled, pounding his back with her fist "Get off, ponytail, you're all sweaty! Ya nasty!"
The boy smirked and squeezed her tighter than his other friend, even going as far as wiping his damp cheek against hers. She fake gagged, and after a bit more struggling he finally let go. It was a usual gesture he would always give his two girls, especially after training as he knew it would piss the older female off.
"Are you done training today, Link?" Zelda asked, holding her hands behind her back. Link moved his head to nod, but stopped midway.
"Actually... Y/N—"
"No."
"Oh come on, why not?"
"Because we both know you spar for real, and I gotta save my strength for a practice rescue on Friday." Y/N crossed her arms "Go easy on your elders, kid."
Link pouted "I'm only younger than you by a year!"
"Actually... sparring might be a good idea." Zelda muttered as she placed a finger to her chin "It might warm up your quirk for the test, and prepare it to hold back your BFF mode."
"What did I tell you about calling it that... and- yeah right! You just want to drool over Link in action again!"
"I will not confirm nor deny that statement."
"Ladies, please." Link chuckled nervously as he made calm gestures "I just wanted to see how much I have improved with my reaction time, and it's been awhile since Y/N and I sparred, so... I kinda missed our sessions."
Y/N's heart fluttered slightly. Throughout the time she had known him, she had found herself falling for the blonde hero. She tried to deny it of course, but that soon became harder. She admired Link's passion to be a hero, his strength and also kindness. But she also found it comforting that he didn't judge her for her vulnerable side, and even confided in her when it came to his. Every day she seemed to notice something new about him, and soon her admiration for his heroism became something far deeper... However, she feared it was not to be, as Zelda also harboured feelings for Link.
Neither of them held any bad blood towards each other - they had agreed to accept Link's decision should he choose either of them and continue to be friends even after. Y/N was completely fine with that... even if Zelda has known Link far longer and was more likely to be chosen...
She was fine with that... She was fine with things staying as they were.
Y/N sighed "I really wish I could, Link. But I really need to get home... I was just planning on meeting you guys here and saying bye."
"Oh... that's okay. I understand!" There was a hint of disappointment in his tone, but he still smiled "Maybe next week, then?"
"That's a much better time, so sure."
"I'll hold you to it, then." He laughed, obviously pleased with her answer as he jogged over to his bag. He slung it over his shoulder and grabbed his water bottle, tipping his head back to take a swig "Okay, let's go."
Zelda raised an eyebrow at his Gym wear "You're going home like that?"
"Why not? It needs washing anyway." The boy shrugged and ran a hand through his hair. Zelda and Y/N shared a look and shrugged, since they knew it was pretty warm out anyway, and began walking towards the school gates.
The three students started up their daily questions; how did their day go, did they have any homework, what were they doing after school etc. As Zelda was usually picked up from school, Link and Y/N always walked her to her limo and then continued their walk with the two of them.
"I know I ask this everyday," Zelda began, looking back at her friends as her driver opened the door for her "But do either of you want a lift?"
Link shook his head and slung an arm around his older friend "Thanks Zel, but it's a nice day. Y/N and I are just gonna walk, right N/N?"
"Yes. Now get off."
He dropped his arm instantly, holding his hands up in surrender. Zelda frowned, pursing her lips together before turning towards Link "Could you let me and Y/N talk for a moment?"
Link raised an eyebrow "Uh, sure?"
"Alone."
"Oh... oh!" The boy began backing away "Oh yeah sure! You guys have your girl talk! Uhhhhhhh, bye Zelda! Y/N, I'll see you over there."
Y/N watched him leave, before turning to Zelda with a frown "Mind telling me what that's all about?"
"You know the only way he'll fall for you is if you let him in, right?"
Her eyes widened "W-What?"
"Well, ever since you found out I liked Link, you've been... distant from him." Zelda sighed, nodding towards her driver to get into the car and leave them to talk "Not as distant as you were when we first met, but more like you're scared of him or something. Why is that?"
So she had noticed... Y/N sighed and stuffed her hands in her pockets, not meeting the younger in the eyes "I've... decided to let you have him."
"What?"
"I mean, come on, you think I had a chance in the first place?" She smiled bitterly "You've known him through childhood, Zelda. You know him better than I could ever hope. You're strong, smart, kind, and undoubtedly beautiful. And me? I'm just his rude Senpai with an emotionally unstable quirk."
"Since when was it unstable?" Zelda asked
"My water comes out boiled when I think about him, Zelda. Boiled. Face it. I never had a chance with him in the first place."
Zelda frowned at her friend's hopeless state. She never used to give up, so why now? Competition usually had her hyped and determined, so why was she just giving up? Shouldn't Zelda have been happy that her competition was giving up? Of course not. She wanted Link's heart, yes. But she also wanted Y/N to be happy. This wasn't happy.
Besides...
She looked over at said boy, who was standing by the gate and staring at the pair. One of them in particular... he was smiling fondly at her with a small pink hue on his cheeks.
"I wouldn't be so sure of that." Zelda murmured with a small sigh.
"What was that?"
"Oh, nothing~" She sang and grabbed Y/N's shoulders, turning her around and pushing her towards the gate "Now gooooo, Link's obviously getting impatient."
Y/N blushed at the thought of being alone with him "He could've just ditched me."
"You and I both know he's not going anywhere until he's sure we're both getting home safe." The girl giggled "He's always been like that to people he cares about. Now. Go."
"Okay, okay." Y/N sighed and began walking away, waving at her friend over her shoulder "Bye Zelda, see you tomorrow."
"You too. Oh, and don't give up just yet!"
Her cheeks brightened at her loud encouragement "Z-Zelda!"
But the girl had already dove into her limo and drove off, leaving her friend in her flustered state. Y/N put a hand to her face and groaned. What did Zelda mean by don't give up? Isn't that just giving her false hope?
A hand was placed on her shoulder "What was that about?"
Eep!
The girl turned around in surprise, meeting the confused eyes of her friend "Oh, she was just... giving me advice for the practice rescue."
"Without me?!"
"The only advice you'd give me is kick a** with a smile, let's be honest."
"That's... 100% accurate."
Y/N snorted and began walking the way they always go, Link following suit and matching her pace so they walked side by side. As they strolled down the path, Y/N began to think about what Zelda had said, but she also questioned why she said it in the first place. Link was literally hers to grab, and yet she literally told her not to give up.
Sigh... that girl did not make sense.
"Oi." Link gently tapped the top of her head with his knuckles "No spacing out, I haven't seen you all day."
"Sorry..." The girl sighed "I've just had a lot on my mind lately, and that's kept me from thinking straight. But you're right, I shouldn't let that get in the way of friend time."
"Damn straight. I've missed your sarcastic spunk."
"Have a cry."
"On second thought, maybe quiet Y/N isn't so bad."
Y/N scoffed and smacked him in the chest "Keep that up and I'm taking the bus."
"Nooooo, I'm sorry! Don't leave!"
As usual, talking to Link had her easing up and forgetting what had her tense in the first place. She loved how she could be herself around him, and was even happier he was comfortable enough to do the same. They had the type of friendship others yearned for.
It was too bad she wanted to be more.
"How's your rivalry with Revali by the way?"
Link groaned "Exhausting. It's bad enough he picks a fight when it isn't necessary, but also acts like he's already won! His ego goes higher than his quirk!"
"Haha! I'm sure you'll get along in due time. You never know, one of you might end up saving lives together." Y/N pointed out as she nudged his side.
"Doubt it, but maybe then he'll learn not to talk like an entitled rooster."
"Rooster?!" Y/N blurted, holding her sides as she hunched over in a fit of laughter "Oh God, I'd give you a f*cking medal if you said that to his face!"
"If I didn't value my life so much, I'd take you up on that." Link laughed nervously with a crooked grin. His friend laughed again and wiped the tears from her eyes, before standing up straight and correcting her uniform. Her house would be coming up soon, so she wanted to make sure everything had been said.
"How's studying?"
"Zelda's helping me, so I can't really complain."
"Ah, I see..." The sinking feeling in her chest made her sigh, but she covered it up with a smirk "Then you have no excuse to slack off, y'hear? Being a hero doesn't come from plasma swords alone!"
"Yeah, yeah, I get it..." Link groaned, ruffling his hair "You sound like Zelda."
"Good, now you've got two people reminding you to hit the books. UA doesn't accept narrow passes—"
"Okay, okay! Jeez, Y/N. I learned from my mistakes last year, you don't need to remind me."
"But I want you to do well. I'm your friend, and your Senpai. I've been through the second year before and it's not something to take lightly." Her expression suddenly took a gentle turn, as she placed a soft hand on his arm "I just... want you to achieve your goal, that's why I'm harsh with you sometimes. You're already a strong person, and you have the physical requirements of being a hero, but..." she tapped his temple "You gotta exercise your brain along with that bod of yours."
"I know, I'm already trying..." Link chuckled and pulled her hand down, keeping hold of her wrist as he tilted his head like a dog. Suddenly, a mischievous smirk made its way onto his handsome face "So tell me, Senpai, what are these physical requirements you speak of?"
Oh fudge... that is so not fair!
Y/N's face was burning hotter than her flame element, and she was quick to turn her head away when a familiar building came into view "Oh look, my house!"
"Oh man, already?" The boy frowned "Dang, thought we had a little more time together. Was the walk always this short?"
"The length of the path hasn't changed, you were probably busy thinking about enhancing your courageous energy or something." Y/N sighed, before tugging her wrist "Now could you let me go? I have training to do."
"Actually... can I tell you something before you go?"
"Yeah? What is it?" Y/N turned in confusion, meeting the boy's suddenly shy expression. His voice had taken a quieter tone, and his grip became kinda clammy. His glowing cerulean eyes darted around and landed anywhere but the girl in front of him, as he chewed on his lip nervously. Y/N waited patiently, though it was weird to see him act this way; he was almost always open about everything. The pink hue on his cheeks only confused her even more, what the hell could he have on his mind.
After a moment Link sighed and let go of her, before turning his back to her "Nevermind, it isn't important... I won't keep you."
"Are you sure? It seemed pretty important."
"Yeah, I'm just being awkward." The boy smiled over his shoulder, but it was forced "I'll... see you tomorrow, okay?"
"Okay... see you then."
Link waved to her as he walked away, turning the corner and leaving her to her apartment. Y/N frowned; Why was he being weird? She stared down at her hand, where the warmth of his hand still slightly lingered even in the cool air. They had been intimate before, but this felt... different somehow. She groaned and slapped her cheeks.
Don't get your hopes up!
With a disheartened sigh, the hero-to-be walked over to her door and slid her key into the keyhole, only to find it was already unlocked. She had probably been too tired and careless to check this morning, but this was a peaceful neighbourhood. She would just have to check her things to see if anything had been stolen. Letting out a yawn she dropped her bag by the door and trudged over to her couch. She told Link she would train, but... relaxing for a little bit wouldn't hurt, would it?
With that said, she let her eyes flutter close...
But they snapped open when feeling a presence looming over her.
Y/N jumped from the comfort of her couch into a standing position after finding a shadowy figure peering over her. Now the piece of furniture was the only thing between them. The girl knew cliche questions like "who are you" and "what are you doing in my house" were unneeded in this situation; there was a stranger in her house, the reason did not matter. She looked over at a glass of water and flexed her fingers, sending the now boiled fluid right into the strangers eyes. The figure hissed when the scalding liquid hit them, and placed a hand over their face to tend to it. Luckily that's what Y/N hoped for, and lunged over the couch to tackle them. She got them onto the ground into a holding position, pressing her heel into their back.
"Alright, a**hole, who sent you?" She demanded "Or would you like some more..
Refreshments."
The stranger didn't answer, only turned their head to look up at her. The sight made her breath hitch slightly, and she almost lost his grip. The mask he wore was identical to—
A gloved hand was suddenly clamped over her mouth, and another wrapped around her waist, which pulled her away from her hostage and into another's restraint. She yelled into the person's palm as yet another masked face emerged from the shadows, who began tying her wrists with crimson rope. Struggling was useless; the apprehender was physically stronger than her, and she was beginning to lose her breath from them covering her mouth. The person quickly swung her over their shoulder, keeping her in place by the waist as she kicked and hit them.
"Let me go! Who do you think you are! I'll—"
"You won't do sh*t, sweetheart." The figure he had knocked over came into her line of vision, a cloth in his hand "That rope holding your wrists; it's coated with quirk-cancelling material. You're helpless right now."
Her eyes widened in horror when staring down at her bound wrists, before slowly looking up at - what she now dubbed her possible kidnappers "What the hell do you want from me?"
The male chuckled darkly as he approached, grabbing a fistful of her hair and pushing her face into the cloth. The stench made her instantly hold her breath.
Chloroform?!
"Right now, Y/N L/N..." he muttered as Y/N felt herself slipping away.
"We want you to shut the f*ck up..."
—-
"Y/N~!" Zelda called, repeatedly ringing the doorbell of her friend's apartment "Come on, don't tell me you overslept again?"
The blonde huffed and crossed her arms, but then realised something slightly off. Y/N's door was cracked... Raising an eyebrow, Zelda gently pushed the door open and entered the female's slightly unclean apartment. "Y/N...?"
She had been inside the home before, but this seemed different somehow... eerie even. What changed?
Ah right. Where the hell was Y/N.
"I swear to god..." Zelda growled while stomped through the home, swinging Y/N's bedroom door open. Nothing... "If she went to school without me, I'm gonna—"
She froze when her eyes landed on the coffee table, a horrified gasp emitting from her throat as she held a shaky hand to her mouth. Being held under an empty glass was an orange slip of paper, with a very familiar symbol printed on it. The sight of it made her stumble back.
No... anyone but them.
Zelda was quick to pull out her phone and dial the only number she could talk to at that moment. Nobody else would understand...
"Hey, Zel. Waddup—"
"Something awful happened!!"
—-
"Woah, woah, Zelda calm down." Link cooed, slightly surprised at his usually calm friend's outburst. He sighed and placed his phone between his shoulder and ear, and began to fix his red school tie "Isn't it a little too early for drama? I woke up, like, fifteen minutes ago."
"I can't be calm, Link... not right now." Zelda whimpered in a shaky voice "I'm at Y/N's house right now."
The boy's heart skipped a mini beat at her name. After what happened yesterday, he was sort of embarrassed to face her today. However, he hid it with a dismissive scoff "Does she need me to go to the store to get pads again?"
"No, you don't understand!" Link stopped at the female's yelling "It's Y/N! She's... She's..."
"She's what?" Now Link was starting to get worried, as he once again held his phone in his hand "Come on. Talk to me, Zelda."
"She... She's gone!!!"
"...What do you mean gone?" The boy's voice took a dark, low tone. Almost matching that of a villain.
"There's a note, on her coffee table, with THEIR symbol on it." Zelda began to cry "Oh Link, she was kidnapped - She was taken by the Yiga Clan!"
Link almost crushed his phone in his hand, his world began to spin as Zelda's words played in his head. His breathing became short and laboured, and he gripped the bathroom sink so tightly he swore he heard it crack. How could he not panic? Y/N was taken - not only by villains, but the second most feared villain group in all of Japan. He had encounters with The Yiga Clan before... their methods and quirks were nothing to mess around with. One member of the group even ended up giving him amnesia for a week, making him forget who he was and who he knew.
... The looks of distraught on Zelda and Y/N's faces when he told them he didn't know who they were... he never wanted to see such an expression on them again.
And now they had yet again taken from him. And he wouldn't stand for it. He wasn't going to let them hurt him, or anyone he cared about. Especially not her.
"Zelda, meet me at school."
"Wha—"
"We are reporting this to principle Nezu." Link's voice was low and serious, but he was anything but calm "If we can track Y/N, we can find out where they took her... and then we can save her."
"But Link, isn't this a job for the pros—?"
"School. 30 minutes. See you there."
He hung up immediately and slammed his phone down, before reaching up and covering his quivering mouth. He wanted to cry so, so bad... Just a moment ago he was worried about getting near Y/N, yet now he longed for her to be by his side. He wanted to know whether she was okay. He wanted to know whether she was safe...
He had to save her. He was a hero, wasn't he? He couldn't be helpless, he had to go alert the Principal. He couldn't let her down...
What would've happened if he had finished that sentence last night...? Would things have turned out differently?
Link shook his head and pushed away from the bathroom sink, grabbing his phone and keys, and running out of his house with his backpack in hand. The amount of time he spent running made his lungs burn, but he didn't care. Y/N was waiting...
—-
The room Y/N sat in was cold, damp, and reeked of danger. It was obvious somebody had died in this room, maybe multiple... but she wasn't afraid. She was peeved, and how could she not be? She was taken from her home, tied up, and blindfolded. I mean, how rude can someone be?
"Heh, this is such a pathetic sight..."
...Well they just got ruder!
Y/N growled and leaned further back in her chair when hearing footsteps approaching, which didn't loosen the ropes coiled around her in the slightest. The person stopped presumably in front of her, and let out a short breathy chuckle.
"Though I cant really complain... it actually turns me on."
Ugh! This guy!
The girl scowled and spat at the man, not caring whether it hit his face or not, but to show she wasn't interested in anything lewd he planned on saying to her. He was cowardly for talking to someone like that when they couldn't sock him in the jaw. However, he only scoffed and reached down, lifting her chin with cold gloved fingers.
"Now I wouldn't do that," He cooed, but Y/N knew he was far from friendly "We don't want your little boyfriend to find a corpse when he gets here, do we?"
Y/N's eyes widened behind the blindfold. She had no boyfriend, but she knew who he meant. That little hint... along with the masked faces in her apartment. She knew exactly who was behind this.
"You're still after Link?" She laughed mockingly "You Yiga morons really know how to hold a grudge. When will you quit?"
Her new 'friend' laughed lowly, the warm breath on her skin told her he had leaned in on her "Why would we? That boy gave us a reputation that's far from ideal for our tastes. So he needs to be... dealt with. We have big plans, sweetheart. And your just the beginning of them."
Y/N clenched her jaw when feeling his murderous fingers brush across it "Stop touching me."
"And why would I do that?"
"Because it's hard to talk to you when I'm incredibly grossed out," she attempted to kick him, but he jumped back "Back up, creepy Casanova."
"Damn, alright!" The man scoffed and finally backed up, no longer playing games "You want to talk, right? About what you're doing here, no doubt."
"Yeah no sh*t," the girl wriggled slightly against her restraints "Why'd you feel the need to use me of all people for bait? And in such a rude way."
"You don't get what you want by being nice, toots. Even you heroes have to knock a few teeth in to keep your beloved 'peace' you love so much." There was a slight hiss in his voice this time "Forgive us for our methods, but you can't exactly call us chivalrous given our careers. Besides... you wouldn't have come with us if we asked politely, and we need our bait for lover boy."
"Lover boy?"
"Oopsie, did I let that slip?" It was obvious he didn't let it slip "Well I guess there's no use hiding the truth now. Y'see, the heart is a very fragile organ that leads you to do very stupid things, and that includes going after a large group of villains if it means saving someone you care about. Stupid emotions like this are what get heroes killed, and we must use that to our advantage. Of course, if we wanted a quieter, frailer hostage... we would've gone for that rich support student. Her father would've paid big money to get her back anyway, which does sound tempting—"
"Don't you DARE talk about her like she's some profit!" Y/N knew fully well he was talking about Zelda, his words igniting her rage as well as her quirk as steam started to flow up from her fingertips. The man rolled his eyes.
"You didn't let me finish. Sure, she has been childhood friends with our dearest Link, but... that isn't the type of heartache we want him to feel when he hears about our deed." Once again he lay a finger on her, using it to lift up her chin even though she wouldn't be able to meet his gaze anyway "Why use platonic love as bait when you can make them suffer more with the one they love. And I mean romantic... sexual love—"
Her actions were quick. Without allowing him to realise it, Y/N pulled her chin away from him and took his finger between her teeth, biting down hard. She only let go of the screaming squirming man when his words sunk in "Are you telling me that you dragged me all the way here because you have some twisted fantasy that Link's in love with me?! That's ridiculous... he would never..."
The girl lowered her head, her eyes moving around from behind her blindfold while the man simply watched. Despite the anger of being bit, he has to admit her low self image shining through was worth almost losing his finger. With a dark chuckle he walked away from her and towards the door.
"I guess we'll just have to see, won't we doll~? But of course, your denial led to this... Now you'll never have that happily ever after good girls like you always yearn for. Link will die by our hands when he comes for you, and... well... we'll figure out what to do with you later. Don't worry, we'll make sure you can hear his agony from here. Toodles~"
"He-Hey wait!! You can't just— just wait until I get out of this!!"
Y/N pulled and tugged against the ropes to the point of them digging into her skin, but she didn't care. She had to get out before Link or Zelda found out she was gone, or else regardless of romantic feelings they will most certainly come after her... especially Link. That reckless, courageous fool would do anything to keep his friends safe... and that reckless behaviour will only double if...
If he really was in love with her.
No. That would be impossible, he only thought of her as a friend - sister at most. There was absolutely no way, he wasn't that stupid to love someone like her...
At least... that's what bullsh*t she fooled herself with.
