"Gold star for you. You attended a high school party."
Allen Residence, Queens, October 2016-
Alison pulled up the party site, stalling the car. She turned back around at Jess, Drew, and Tara, who were splitting the backseat of her car.
"Are you guys sure about this? Going to this party. I mean, Parker will be there, and..." Alison trailed off. "I mean, I dunno about this. With what happened last time-"
"Ali." Jess placed a hand reassuringly on her shoulder. "You'll be fine. Besides, the last time that happened, you met me." She smiled quietly. "So I think that nothing bad will come from going to this party."
"Wow." Alison laughed, facing forward, trying to find a parking spot. "You're a real good pep talker Jess." She tapped the wheel impatiently, seeing no spots show up. She sighed
"Yeah," Jess turned her head slightly, in a way that only she could. "I have that effect on people sometimes."
Alison saw some people already walking in, and she parked the car. "You guys go in, ok? I'll catch up in a second."
Drew gave her a skeptical look. "Alright then," she popped the door open, and walked out into the street. "We will see you in there ."
Ali nodded at the girls, turning her head back to the road. She pulled her car out of the awkward spot where she had dropped the girls off, and scanned the neighborhood for a spot.
Glancing at the clock, Alison could see that they were 5 minutes late. Normally this wasn't something that happened, but the girls were having fun getting "makeovers."
After 10 minutes of searching, Alison eventually found a spot nestled in the middle of the neighborhood. Carefully pulling into the spot, Ali parked the car.
Sighing, Alison got out of the car, and shut the door softly. The beep of the car being locked sounded, and Alison made her way to the Allen house.
The house was a modern style, kind of like the block style modern that was popular. It was nestled in the middle of a pretty suburban neighborhood, with original styles from the 1900's, so it stuck out like a sore thumb.
Alison shivered, remembering the warm April night when she had approached the Flash kid's house, in a neighborhood quite the opposite of this one.
Her hands shaking, Alison carefully trudged up the driveway. Her knuckles were turning white from clutching the backpack slung over her shoulder.
Finally, Ali had the courage to approach the house. There was a cozy welcome mat lying at the door of the doorway, the place furnished in a pristine but homely like manner.
Knocking on the door, it wasn't long before Liz came to the door. "Hey Alison! The rest of the girls are in the living room. You can join them." She smiled.
Alison smiled back. "Thanks Liz, and if you need help with anything during the party, feel free to let me know."
Liz's smile grew bigger. "Thanks Ali, is nice to know that someone else in Yearbook had my back. " She crossed her arms, her oversized sweater providing some comfort.
"Yeah," Alison dismissed with a slight wave of her hand."No problem. Someone's gotta keep my crazy friends in check."
Liz laughed, covering her hand up politely. "Come on, we've got a kitchen to set up." She gestured to the kitchen hallway, filled with bags of groceries.
"Yes!" Alison whooped, walking into the house fully. "Food! Count me in!" She grabbed some of the grocery bags. "Come on! We've got a party to set up!"

The party was already in full force by the time Ali found her friends. The three were partying at the center of the dance floor, clutching red Solo cups in their hands.
Alison had been helping Liz monitor the liquor cabinet, but that eventually got ransacked. Giving up, Liz told Alison to go find her friends, and make sure that they weren't passed out on the couch.
They weren't, they were just partying in the center of the dance floor, buzzed. Alison sighed, knowing there was no dragging them back from this party area.
"Tara," Ali hollered, "What the hell are you doing?" She asked, slightly pissed.
"Partying!" Tara whooped, her words slurring together. "Come join us! It's gonna be sooooo fun!"
"Yeah!" Drew agreed, not even a bit drunk with alcohol. She, of course, didn't need alcohol to get down with nightlife.
Jess was in the center of the dance floor, but blending in with the crowd. It reminded Alison of the first time she had met the wild girl.
The party in April. Ali shivered, driving the thought out of her head. That party would be wiped from her existence. Forever.
The door opened, disrupting the loud bass boosted music, and the flashing aerobic lights. Glad for an escape, Alison walked through the crowd of people, shoving her way to the door.
When she arrived at the front, she found that Peter and Ned had walked in. Raising one eyebrow, she moved into the kitchen.
"I can't believe you guys are at this lame party," Michele remarked, buttering a piece of toast, and drawing the attention of the boys.
"You're here too," Ned remarked, confused. Peter shared the same confused expression,
"Am I?" Michelle contradicted Ned, leaving with a piece of toast in her mouth. Alison let out a little chuckle. Michelle and her antics never got old.
Suddenly, Liz walked through the hallway. "Oh my gosh! Hey guys!" She exclaimed, holding a red solo cup of sprite. Liz saw Alison in the kitchen, and gestured to Ali to join her.
"Cool hat Ned," Liz continued, Alison coming up alongside her. Alison nodded in agreement.
"You boys finally decided to come join the party? Gold star for you." Ali joked, impressed they actually had the guts to come to the party.
"Hey Liz, Ali." Ned greeted, a small smile forming on his face.
"Hey Liz-" Peter said awkwardly, a dumbstruck look on his face. It looked like a mix of cute and awkward, and almost charming.
"I can't believe you guys came!" Liz exclaimed. "There's pizza and drinks, you guys can help yourselves." She shrugged lightly.
"We did good with the pizza." Alison laughed. "We got the good Costco kind. And no booze." She added quickly.
"What a great party." Peter interjected, the awkward expression still apparent on his face.
"Thanks," Liz blushed slightly, giving a kind look at Peter. Peter just stared back awkwardly.
Interrupting the encounter, the shattering of glass could be heard. Liz and Alison turned their heads to see a broken window.
"I-my parents will kill me if anything's broken." Liz turned towards Peter, and looking at Alison. "Come with me?"
"Yeah," Ali nodded. "Cleanup crew is going to aisle seven!" She joked, linking arms with Liz.
"Have fun!" Liz exclaimed, being dragged away by Alison. The two walked away, leaving the awkward boys by themselves.
Later that night there was supposed to be an appearance of Spider-Man. There wasn't. The only thing that could be seen was a missing Peter, and Ned on call with someone.
The chants of "Penis! Parker!" over and over again could be heard, as Alison dragged herself out of the house, thanking Liz for her hospitality.
It took Ali a moment to realize that she didn't have Drew, Tara, or Jess. Dragging herself back into the party, she let herself drown in the chant of Penis Parker, weaving through the crowds to find her three buzzed party friends once again.

By the time Alison had gotten home, it was too late to go out and play superhero. She had quietly unlocked the door, late for her curfew.
Hoping to sneak her way back to her room, Alison crept her way into the house, and shut the door.
When she got into the living room, Alison heard the clearing of a throat and the lamp turning on in the room.
There in the center of the room, was Jackie, sitting on the sofa. "You missed curfew," She remarked.
"I know," Ali sighed. "I was out. " she dropped her key on the kitchen counter, like she normally did.
"Out where? Partying? Cause your phone had you at Liz Allen's house tonight. And I heard from some teenagers in our complex that there was a party there tonight." Jackie stared coldly at Alison.
"Ok," Alison admitted, "I was at the party, but I was there as the designated driver. My new friends at Midtown got super buzzed, and I knew that event of them getting buzzed would most likely happen. I didn't want them doing anything stupid."
Jackie sighed, rubbing her temple. Alison was a good kid, and the fact that she did that for her friends proved that. "You didn't drink? Or do anything stupid?"
"Nope." Ali replied proudly. "I just helped Liz Allen set up and clean up messes kid we're making. Kind of like a clean up crew."
"Then I suppose your grounding can be shortened." Jackie nodded, kind of proud of her younger cousin. "It'll only last through this week, as you only had two weeks left on the grounding."
"Yes!" Alison pumped her fist, whooping. She covered her mouth, realizing it was 11PM, and Charles was asleep. "Thank you Jackie!" She whispered more quietly, running over to embrace her guardian in a hug.
Shocked, Jackie hugged her back. Normally, Alison didn't give her this kind of affection. But, she would enjoy every minute of it.
"Oh yeah!" Jackie pulled out of the hug. "I forgot. Tony Stark called while you were gone. He wants you to call him in the morning."
"Ok," Alison sighed. "I'll do it before school. Goodnight Jackie."
"Goodnight kid." Jackie smiled softly. "See you in the morning."
