reflections
The next few days were quiet and Lima was happy about that. The BBQ had tired her out so much, as social interaction does, but this one had been especially hard on her, mostly because of that Billy guy. His scolding smile, the mischief in his eyes, the way he carried himself. Lima had replayed it over and over in her mind a hundred times and the more she did the more she realized how much she hated him. It was all she could think about and it was slowly driving her into insanity.
"Are you okay?", Emma asked her one day when she was staring into blank space.
"Yes. Sorry kid. I was just thinking", Lima replied and quickly kept putting pearls on the string. But even the pearls looked like Billy and all she wanted to do was smash them against a wall.
Never had she ever felt this way about a person. She was strictly against violence. Whenever she ate meat she had to apologize to the animal it came from in her head. She was one of those weird people who couldn't even kill spiders. Hell, she had never even touched a gun.
But this Billy made her think the most vile things and it made her sick to her stomach.
"You must be thinking about someone really cute if you keep blushing like that", Emma said and interrupted Lima, who had been imagining slamming his pretty head against the kitchen counter.
"He's not cute at all. And I'm not blushing... keep making your necklace please and don't mind me.", Lima quickly tried to change the topic but it was already too late. Her head was spinning.
She didn't like him. Yes, he was a beautiful man (she had heard multiple people at the BBQ refer to him as Billy the Beaut and she understood why), but he was the most unattractive, sickening person she had ever met.
There's no way she liked him.
No way.
