TWO DAYS BEFORE MARRIAGE IN 24 HOURS

Granny sat on her brown leather armchair and sipped her tea as she started to think on the Future of her Grandsons Parth and Randhir.

Granny thoughts "Parth just informed me about the love of his life Vidushi, I knew this was coming as I have seen them few times in parks and coffee shop spending time with each other. Even though, Vidushi was from a middle class family, it was very fine to me as she was much better than those rich spoilt brats. But, Kiran (Parth's mother) was an absolute big problem. She wants a daughter in law from the same standard as our family. Knowing about Parth loving Vidushi and wishing to marry her has bombed her wish of high standard daughter in law.

To convince his mother, he needed my help as he knows Kiran will definitely listen to me. But, coming to Randhir I am scared his future. He is successful businessman and CEO of Shekhawat Enterprise. He has everything that a man needs in his life except love. His parents had got divorced when he was just of 3 years old. And, they didn't want to take his responsibility as they found it unnecessary. In the end his father my first son, he went to leave Randhir in an orphanage. But, I didn't let that happen. Because of this, his father started to hate him more and even he went on the verge to kill him.

So, I left that place with Randhir, where his father was staying. I brought him up along and groomed myself again as the CEO of Shekhawat Industries which my husband left for me before his death which I transferred to Randhir's father. Everything started to fell in the place...as the time passed Randhir started to grow as a lonely and silent boy. In his 16th birthday something had happened with him. Which, changed him as the most sophisticated, arrogant and ruthless businessman."

Just then a man in his formal knocked the door and she said "come in".

The man "Madam, the file you asked for" said handing over the file and he walked out.

As she flipped through the pages, she found the information regarding Vidushi and her family.

It contained their background mostly where they are from and all. And, the most interesting part was she has a step sister named 'Sanyukta Agarwal'.

She smiled and looked at her picture. She wore a blue long sleeved Kurti and black longs. She looked very simple and unique. Granny suddenly took the picture of Vidushi; she was wearing a tight black knee length dress.

Vidushi wore those all cosmetics like Mascara, Eyeliner, foundation and all other things and she had curled her hair. But, Sanyukta's face was plain with no cosmetics and she had put her hair on a pony tail with matching blue hair band and some of her hair fall on her face naturally making her look more ethereal.

Granny found Sanyukta beautiful and respectful just looking at her picture. She felt Sanyukta intriguing for some reason and suddenly she picked her intercom and ordered her driver to get the car ready to the destination FR College where Sanyukta studies.

Driving for 15 minutes from the mansion, she reached the college and got out to enter the gates just to get her leg slipped with the rainy water on the floor.

Before, she fells backward and hit the floor, there were a soft hand holding her with a genuine concern "Madam, are you okay?" as she got straightened just to look at the angelic face of Sanyukta.

A smile broke on Granny's face as Sanyukta yelled for the watchman to bring a chair so that she could sit on the side of the ground pasture.

As Sanyukta made her sit on the chair "Do you feel pain anywhere madam?" asked.

Granny denied through her head and moved her leg to feel pain and whimper "Ahh" holding her leg.

Sanyukta widened her eyes a bit and checked her leg "I think, you have sprained your left leg" said and looked at the watchman "You stay with the madam here, I will go get the ointment from the office" said running towards the office.

Granny looked at her retreating figure and said "She looks like a very good girl...after all, in this society who will help a stranger"

Watchman "That is very true madam, Sanyukta is a very good girl...most of the student here underestimate the teachers and workers like us but Sanyukta is very helpful and respectful to everyone she sees' said proudly.

Sanyukta ran back and applied ointment on her leg even though granny protested "You don't have to do this dear".

Sanyukta smiled and said "It is okay madam...if you don't apply ointment it will start swelling and then you have to go to those hospitals to get injected with big injection" said applying.

After few minutes of massage,

Sanyukta asked "Madam, can you try moving your leg now?"

Granny moved her leg and the pain were eased to much extreme that she could walk without help. She smiled widely and got on her feats and said "Thank you dear, I can walk by myself"

Sanyukta smiled and looked at her watch "God...I am late for my work (looking at granny) I have to go madam otherwise the owner will shout at me" said and bid her bye running from there.

Granny looked at her said "She is perfect for my Randhir" walked to her car and drove to the mansion calling Parth and Randhir for an important talk.

Granny decided that 'if Parth has to marry Vidushi then Randhir have to marry Sanyukta as I know Randhir you love your siblings more than yourself and I also know that you would never say yes for this marriage so I have no other option than to get you married to Sanyukta in exchange Parth will marry Vidushi'

TO THE PRESENT AFTER THE CONVERSATION,

Randhir stood on the balcony of his room as the whole of conversation with Granny rolled in his mind.

He clenched his fist as anger empowered him on just on the word called 'Marriage'.

Randhir's thought,

"I just can't believe it, granny has put Parth's life with my decision... seriously me and marriage this is seriously will not work out granny how could you even think of that... you know very well middle class girls just know how to cheat for money.

Like seriously, I love my lifestyle like this...dealing business and weekly party with different girls that is enough for me... I don't need anything other than this common...but, granny has messed the situation" as he groaned with the maze created.

There was a knock on the balcony door and he turned to see Parth standing there and signaled him to come.

As Parth came and stood next to Randhir "Bro, what have you decided?" asked.

Randhir looked at him and said "I don't want to get married Parth"

Parth "I get it bro; you just want this lifestyle of yours to continue. But, I just can't believe that granny has pulled you in this fiasco" said.

Randhir nodded "What do you think on this?" asked.

Parth "I would just say...chuck this matter... I know mom is not going to accept for this marriage that is why I came to granny but suddenly she bombed that you have to get married to Sanyukta then only she will let my marriage happen seriously?... I think I should leave this marriage drama and go back to London and take over the branch stay there itself" said with a big sigh.

Randhir looked a bit shocked "But, you love Vidushi and she loves you so much; I have seen her many times whenever you feel sick or something or the other happens to you she worries a lot... I don't think so she will be able to live without you" said with his observation of Vidushi over these 3 years even though he personally doesn't like Vidushi for her attitude and strange behaviors.

Parth "I know bro... but, do we have options left? (Shaking his head) there are no options left. Vidushi's mother wants mom's approval or granny's approval for the marriage at least by that she could sit back home calmly that her daughter is fine... but, you know the happenings here" said.

Randhir looked at Parth's face he can understand how much he loves Vidushi. That pained look on his face pained him too seeing his brother's state.

Randhir thought for a while "If I say yes Parth will get his love but, I will have to leave my life back which I could never think of doing but, Parth's life or my life?"

As he closed his eyes all those memories of his failed marriage of his parents, those teasing of people and the betrayal of that women flashed in front of him. But, suddenly his brother Parth standing for him in all the circumstances even when his own mother badmouthed about Randhir flashed in front of him too.

He tightened his grip on the railing of balcony and opened his eyes "I will say yes to marry Sanyukta" said bombing Parth who was lost in his own thoughts.

Parth "Fuck'

"Watch your language Parth "said the voice from behind.

Randhir and Parth turned to see their granny walking in.

Granny "I have spoken to the Agarwals they have accepted for this marriage in 24 hours" said shocking the guys.

Randhir and Parth "Why"

Granny "Because, I don't trust you (pointing her index finger at Randhir) at all, you will do anything to stop this marriage"

Randhir huffed and glared at her. Parth don't know whether to be happy or not and stood helpless.

Granny looked at Parth and said "Go and call your mom here, I will talk to her about this". Parth walked out pulling his mobile from his pocket call his mother who went for shopping.

Granny looking at Randhir "I know you must be hating me for this Randhir but trust me she will be perfect for you... and, I hope you would understand this one day"

Randhir looked at her blank and said "Do as you wish!"

Granny sighed and said "Just one thing Randhir, she is innocent and naïve to be precise in this matter so please don't show your arrogance to her and, be loyal to her and change this lifestyle of yours!" walked out of the room.

Randhir sighed thought "I am just doing this for Parth Granny; I don't care about anyone else especially that Sanyukta who had done some magic on you to go to this big extent. Sanyukta let me see how innocent you are... and, for you I am not going to change myself. You are walking in lion's den baby!" smirked and left the place.
