Chapter 30
Chapter 30
Sylvester's eyes widened and he ducked under the seat. He was the only dark fae which wasn't already a part of their little gang. He was wrong, it wasn't a trap for the others. Chances are the others weren't supposed to disappear. It was meant for him.
Bryan looked at her confused and simply held out the device which was quickly swiped out of his hand by Lorraine. She hummed in thought. She could tell that it had been used, it was now useless. "Good job Bryan! Now why don't you run along home and pretend like nothing happened?" She smiled sweetly towards him and patted his shoulder.
Bryan didn't say anything but he nodded and started to run off. Sylvester was also tempted to do the same in the other direction. Demi looked towards the front in alarm, seeing that Sylvester was no longer in her line of sight. She sighed in relief and slumped in her seat, watching the other woman.
Lorraine straightened her clothes and looked around, noticing that there was a taxi stationed on the path but she didn't think much of it. It was a regular occurrence. She was sure that if there was anyone in there that they wouldn't have heard anything. She had assumed there was nobody in the car, she couldn't feel any energy coming from it. She had a few thoughts about stealing it but she didn't know if there were any security cameras nearby. She sighed and started to walk off.
Addamak didn't make any more to start the car as he looked to his companion on the floor beside him. "So they think they have you." He thought aloud and tapped the steering wheel. "But that makes no sense, unless they don't have access to wherever it is the others are."
"Dind't you hear what she said though?" Demi sat forward in her seat, looking from one person to the other. "She asked if he Had the dark fae...as if he was holding the dark fae..." She trailed off as Sylvester started to realize what had happened. "Then she took the thing from him. They're in that thing."
"Oh that's clever." Addamak admitted as he sighed and started his car up, he turned the corner and was surprised he could still see the woman from where he was. "Where do you think they're going?" He asked Sylvester as he slowly started to drive, hoping Lorraine didn't pay them any mind.
"I think i know where...Go to the park, but go there like you mean to go there. Don't look suspicious." Sylvester said through his teeth as they were looking rather suspicious to everyone else on the quiet street. They were getting the occasional odd glance and cars seemed to slow down when they drove past.
"Oh yes the park. Like everyone knows what park." Addamak muttered under his breath before picking up the pace. If he pretended to know where he was going then it would avoid the stares. "You're going to have to give me directions."
Sylvester looked out the window and noticed a bird flying above them. With a few seconds he looked back down and muttered "Follow that bird." Addamak sighed himself, he knew the boy had just communicated with the bird. It was so odd for him to see. Addamak would've probably reacted better if he wasn't in such a foul mood.
Lorraine didn't go straight to the park, Sylvester assumed there was another way around. That would've made a lot of sense as the mansion made no sense. When they arrived they all got out of the car and looked towards the gate. "Thank you." Sylvester said to the bird which then flies away. "They're in there...or at least there's a way to get to where they are from there."
"Okay so we know where the others are, we know where the bad guys are supposed to be...what are we supposed to do?" Demi asked curiously. She knew Sylvester was considering some things, he had plenty of ideas in his head. He had worried himself crazy over the last few hours, he had come up with every possible scenario in his head, getting worse and worse as time went on.
"Well if they wanted me then they could have me." Sylvester said with no emotion in his voice or his expression. "I know i could get out of there with the device...as long as they haven't opened it and figured everything out by now." He placed his hand on his chin in thought. "I think we'd know if they'd done that already."
"Sylvester, that is dangerous and I will not allow you to do it."Addamak had stepped forward and looked deep into Sylvester's eyes, he wanted the boy to know he was serious. This gaze hardened and he stood up straighter.
"With all due respect Addamak, you didn't promise anyone you would look after me. I know what I'm doing and I have a plan."There was no room for argument, Sylvester was correct. Addamak had made no promise to look after him, apart from the others , Sylvester was a nobody and believed he would always be a nobody. "I know what i'm doing...come with me."
The two fae had to make a choice. Sylvester had started to walk away and if he was honest he didn't expect them to follow. Demi and Addamak shared a look and started to follow him slowly, keeping a fair distance between them. If Sylvester did anything stupid then they would be able to see any dangers from the further distance.
"I hope he knows what he's doing." Demi muttered very quietly to Addamak. She was looking around suspiciously. She rather liked Sylvester and she could tell he had a heart which was in the right place.Anyone would be able to see the love he had for Tyrell, she just wasn't sure how much he relied on the human.
"I'm sure he knows what he is doing." Addamak sounded like he was reassuring both her and himself. "Whether or not it's a good idea , i'm not sure." He hadn't really spent a lot of time at the park and it felt rather creepy with the lack of people there. The two fae were taking note of many things which surrounded them, not a lot of it was useful.
Luckily they managed to see where Sylvester had went because if they had not then it would've seemed like he vanished into thin air. The gap in the bushes was still there, He thanked his lucky stars. He had wondered if it was useful at all, surely they would get a lot of wandering children visiting the mansion. That thought made him shudder and focus back on the situation. He moved to the side slightly, he was behind the wall of bushes which separated the park from the mansion.
Trees are hard to kill, they were strong and powerful creatures, with a few words to them his plan was put into motion. He looked back to the gap int he bushes to see two pairs of eyes staring at him. He smiled and gave them a thumbs up before heading towards the mansion.
