No one POV-

The moon began to rise, and all but the warriors on guard, and two apprentices, were asleep. Moonpaw heard Bumbletail's soft breathing and knew she was asleep, so she climbed out the hidden back entrance and slipped out into the trees, heading for the training grounds.

Adderpaw swiftly and quietly maneuvered around his sleeping denmates. His slipped and headed towards the dirtplace tunnel, sneaking out through the oh-so-cliche exit.

Moonpaw POV-

I arrived at the training grounds and saw Adderpaw. I rushed towards him, and nuzzled his flank. I don't know why, but I almost couldn't stand having to wait to see him. He seemed to welcome the affection, so I laid down next to him and wrapped my tail around him. And for a while, we just laid there, enjoying each other's company and watching the stars.

Suddenly Adderpaw moved and voiced the question on both our minds. "Are we breaking the code? Or... are we just friends." I gathered my courage and said,"Well, if you wish, we will be just friends, but" I took a deep breath "I don't care how many codes I break, I think I- I think I love you, Adderpaw." Adderpaw relaxes against my side and breathes out quietly,"I think I love you too."

We spent that night together, and went back just before sunrise. [No, they are not mates yet. Soon, but not yet. ("trust me pet, MOTHER~ KNOWS BEST!")] The exhilaration of forbidden love kept us up throughout the day, and we returned to the training grounds the next night, and the next.

Adderpaw POV-

I awaited Moonpaw's arrival on our fourth night in the training grounds. When she arrived, I nuzzled her neck. We sat and watched the stars. I started talking,"You know, we're in love, and we both know we're willing to break the code... what I mean to say is, will you... could you be my mate?" Moonpaw smiled, and said the most amazing words in the world. "Yes, I will."
This time, when we spent the night together, it was as mates.
