Then came Redstar's turn to speak. Adderpaw and I turned to leave, but Bluepaw notices us. "Where are you going?" She asks. "We're running away." I said.

Moonpaw POV still-

"Why?" Bluepaw asks. The other five turn towards us. "For... personal reasons." Adderpaw replies, glancing at my belly quickly while I shot a glance towards the medicine cats. Bluepaw's eyes widen, "Are you...?"

I become a bit more nervous, though the rest seem clueless. "A-am I what?" "Um... getting wider?" Bluepaw and I can see in her eyes she knows. "Are you calling her fat?" Burntpaw says incredulously, from next to Bluepaw.

I notice Redstar coming to the end of his speech, and Shadestar steps up. 'We don't have much time left.' "W-we have to go... Somewhere." I say and Adderpaw and I start inching towards the forest surrounding the clearing.

"I'll help you." Says Bluepaw, she looks at the others and the five nod. "Ok, is it possible for you to cover for our exit?"

Adderpaw POV-

Bluepaw nodded. I interjected, "We better hurry, cats are beginning to notice our group." Bluepaw nods again. "If anyone asks I'll say you went over too... what's your medicine cat's name?" "Bumbletail." Moonpaw says. "Ok, so you urgently need to talk to Bumbletail and I don't happen to notice the direction you went." Bluepaw replied with a mischevious glint in her eye. Moonpaw and I smile gratefully, and take our exit.

Once through the bushes, Moonpaw and I run of the island via the thunderclan path, and continue towards the abandoned twoleg nest. To hide our scent, we wade in the river in riverclan territory and follow the edge of the lake to the river that marks the boundary of Thunderclan and Shadowclan. We follow the river to near the greenleaf twolegplace and then turn and walk silently towards the abandoned twolegplace, arriving just before sunrise.
