~Time skip- one moon later~

Moonpaw POV-

I'm going to have kits. I've been concealing the signs for about a quarter moon, but I'm starting to gain a little weight. Another quarter moon, and it will be to obvious to hide. I told Adderpaw, and he's going to help me in any way he can. The gathering is tonight, and we're both going. We're taking this chance to run away.

~Time skip to gathering~

I could smell Windclan and Riverclan already there. I've been told Shadowclan is almost always last, unless they have something REALLY important to say.

Thunderclan ran into the clearing as one, and then we separated to mingle. I avoided the medicine cats as best as possible, and mingled with the other clans apprentices. Adderpaw and I met four apprentices that seemed very friendly; Bluepaw and Burntpaw from Windclan, Spottedpaw and Oakpaw from Riverclan.

Just then, Shadowclan flooded into the clearing, right before the moon the reached its peak. Shadestar joined Redstar, Reedstar, and Treestar in the Great Oak, positioning himself above the others, showing his Shadowclan arrogance. Two Shadowclan apprentices joined our little group, Hazelpaw and Dustypaw, we welcomed them and saw the Deputys father at the roots of the tree, by the medicine cats.

Treestar began to speak,"After the greencough outbreak last moon, we've had a decreasing amount of prey. One of my warriors says to have spotted several Riverclan warriors stealing our prey." Reedstar interrupts saying, "These allegations are false!" Treestar glares at him for a split second before continuing, "We have had several additions to our clan, one of our queens, Heatherfeather, gave birth to three healthy kits; Sunkit, Dawnkit, and Risingkit. We also accepted an abandoned kit into our clan who has recently become an apprentice, Bluepaw."

Next to speak is Reedstar. "As Leaffall has set in most of the fish have disappeared, our freshkill pile has rarely been lower, but I can assure you that I would never stoop so low as to steal another clan's prey." He sent a pointed glance at Treestar. "Onto a much happier topic, we have been gifted with many new kits this past moon. And I would like to acknowledge the two newest warriors, Runningfire and Squirrelshadow."

Then came Redstar's turn to speak. Adderpaw and I turned to leave, but Bluepaw notices us. "Where are you going?" She asks. "We're running away." I said.
