Lucy's Pov

After weeks of preparation, we finally went down to the court. I really hope this will work. We are already inside waiting for the other party to come in. Until the door opened seeing the sight of Victor Conte sent chills down my spine. My relationship with Natsu got better and I'm glad about that, I just hope that it'llcontinueto get better. After him was a tall slender man and I believe that's Richard Conte the man I suppose to be "marrying". And the person I saw after shocks me the most. He's here but with them. He's wearing his normal suit and tie with glasses on and he's holding a briefcase. Oh God No!

Gray is their lawyer!

"Gray what are you doing!" Natsu exclaimed.

"Simmer down Mr. Dragneel we're about to start." Victor snickered.

By the way, I see Victor I can already something is wrong. I then shifted my gaze on Gray. He looks cold and serious. He's clearly not in his normal happy state.

The trial started and by the way, Gray is talking it seems like he doesn't even care about us it's like our bonds had been broken instantly.

Surprisingly the trial went so fast. Gray kept on asking these questions that make Auntie speechless. The threat Auntie told Rufus about, nothing, they even show camera footage of Auntie peacefully signing the papers and giving Victor a handshake. Clearly, in the end we lost.

Victor Conte's Pov

"It's over I already did what I need to do. Now do your part of the deal." Gray coldly said.

"I am a man of my word." I picked up my phone and dialed a number. "But I have to make sure that you won't try to stop the wedding." I smirked.

Lucy's Pov

We walked away and we saw Gray standing at the entrance. Natsu quickly rushed through him and grabbed his collar.

"What the hell do you think you're doing dumbass!" Natsu pinned him over the wall.

"I have nothing to say." He replied.

"Gray how could you." Auntie said. "We trusted you." She added almost tearing up.

To be honest I am too.

"Do even have any say into this?" Auntie asked Rufus who is in front with Natsu and Gray.

"Thank you for the service, my friend." Gray smiled.

"Of course." Rufus raised his hat and put it back on and quickly left.

"Tell me why. Why! Why are you doing this." Natsu let go of him.

"None of your business." He replied.

"Gray stop this already! I know you and I know something is up! So please just tell me why. We're friends, aren't we? I can forgive you with all of this because I know something is forcing you to do this stuff." Natsu exclaimed.

I can't help myself I didn't even realize I was moving forward.

"Can you please stop. You don't know me. You know anything about me. And I hate to break it to ya but I'm doing this in my own free will. Conte is a valued client of mine and I'm actually delighted for doing all of this. And don't even expect me to come back tomorrow I already packed my things and cleaned the office yesterday now stop this buddy buddy crap and leave me be." He said.

And that does it. I lifted my hand and slapped him hard in the face.

"What are you talking about! I don't understand does all the bonds that we share meant nothing to you. If Natsu is right and something is bothering you it's fine just talk to us. You're like a brother to me dammit." exclaimed already tearing up.

"Well, you're an idiot of thinking that way." He replied.

"What would Juvia think?" I asked wiping a tear with my already shaking hand.

"Don't you dare put her into this when you're the one who almost killed her!!" He glared and left.

???'s Pov

I was in my office until I saw a very familiar figure I haven't seen in a very long time.

"You're quite early dear cousin. I wasn't expecting you here. I haven't gotten anything related of you beating Ankhresam. All I got is that every single one of his bodyguards is completely annihilated." I said.

"I'm coming back, just wait until the end of the month." He replied.

"So it's close. Well, I'm happy for Natsu." I said.

"Not really. I quit the job on him." He sighed.

"What? but I can stay longer if you wanted. There may be some incidences that I'm busy and I barely slept but I'm fine." I replied and I looked at him his face barely changed even after the news I got that he got a girlfriend. "What's wrong?" I asked.

"Lyon please, I'm really tired right now I'll just call you later when I get there." He took some steps backward and opened the door.

"Where are you going?" I asked.

"France." He replied and left my office.

France. Why would he want to go to France?

Natsu's Pov

Lucy and Anna are with me inside the car. I'm so confused that Anna took over the driver seat. I was sitting next to Lucy in the backseat and she's still crying.

"Natsu are you okay?" Anna asked.

"I don't know. The look in his face and his tone on his voice is completely cold as ice like the old times. That's why I know something is wrong." I sighed. "He automatically went back to his old self completely." I added.

"He planned this all out starting from Rufus." Anna replied.

"I know. I want to give him a chance but maybe it's just because he's my "best friend". But now all I know is somethings up with and I'm gonna figure it out." I sighed. "He's hiding something I know it.." I said. "Because if there is something wrong with him. He would talk to me about it." I finished.

"What would the others think?" Lucy finally spoke.

What would the others think? Especially Gajeel. Gajeel would be so pissed he could punch him if he's there. But how about the others. What will they do?

"Let's keep this whole dilemma to ourselves for now." I replied.

"How about Juvia?" She asked once more.

Exactly what would she think? She can understand him with just one look. It's crazy but it's amazing. How would she react? What will she do? Does she know what's wrong with him?

"We can't tell her now she's busy as a bee. It will just hinder her work and I don't want that." I sighed.

"Good point." She replied.

"Lucy." I called.

"Yes."

"I'm sorry. I've been a total jerk on these past few days." I said. "Especially after you apologized, then this happened, I felt really guiltily."

"Weeks." She corrected me.

"I'm just scared." I lowered my head.

"It's okay to be scared, but right now can we promise that there be no more secrets." Lucy smiled. "Because my feelings for you are true and my objective is hindering me from being true to myself."

"No more secrets." I nodded.

"Besides, after what Gray did, I kinda get what you felt that day. Again, I'm really sorry." I added.

"Apology accepted." I saw him smile again. It's quite refreshing.
