Ordeal 4 - Sunken
I walked along the edge of the beach, the waves slowly passed by my feet before drawing back again.
I closed my eyes and tried to remember what the man had told me.
"Take a day off, you deserve it."
His tone contradicted what he said as a devious smirk formed upon his face.
I shook my head and stared down at the sandy beach. If only I could stay here for ever, but then I'd miss my little lady back home.
The sound of a large crashing wave caught my attention and pulled me towards it. My eyes widened as a ten foot tall wall of water towered above me.
Oh my go-
The water crashed down upon me before I could even finish my thought, the force of the water dragged me under. I clawed against the rugged rocks of the sea floor, the sand shredding against my clothing and tearing it apart like a sander. I closed my eyes and gasped for air, but water flooded in and muffled my scream.
I was pulled under and there was nothing I could do, darkness surrounded me before everything went black.

I woke up, surprised that I was alive. Somehow I was in a mechanical room with a single window, I turned my head to the side to look out the window and to my surprise, I was underwater.
"How?" I gasped as I tried to move to it, but I soon found myself chained to the wall. Confusion filled my mind as so many unanswered questions began to spiral around it.
Approaching footsteps from outside the door made me turn my head to face it. The door slid open like one from a star trek episode and a man in a black suit stood in its frame.
"Who are you?" I blurted out, "where are we?"
The man grinned slightly but said nothing, he walked closer to me as a low sizzling noise began to echo the close he got.
"Answer me!" I demanded.
Suddenly tiny cracks formed upon the man's face and he bent down so that our faces were at the same level. Pieces of his skin opened up as though they were little doors, revealing that the man had been a robot. Inside his face sat a tiny blue alien like creature.
I was speechless.
"Welcome to my laboratory." He spoke in an extremely high pitched voice. "I have a task for you my beauty." He chuckled maniacally, yet it came off of as sounding like a squeaky toy.
"What if I don't want to?" I snarled at him, narrowing my eyes slowly.
"Then I'll kill you and the ones you love. But not in that order." His voice annoyed me so, I cringed and let out a low growl.
"Fine. What do I have to do?" I sighed and clenched my fists.
He brought his hands together and slowly tapped each finger together, just like the other man had done before. The creature seemed to be lost in a deep thought, so I rolled my eyes with annoyance.
"Swim out to the black dot, retrieve the crosn, and come back to me. Then I will let you go." He then giggled shrilly.
"Unchain me then."
"Nope." He then pressed a button and the floor opened up underneath me. The wall behind me released the chains and I fell through the hole. The chains tied my legs together and tied my arms together, yet they were loose enough to let me swim freely - it just weighed me down quite a lot.
As I floated down at a surprisingly slow pace, I held my breath in anticipation to not being able to breathe under the water. I looked straight ahead and almost instantly spotted the black dot with the floating crown next to it.
It was only a few feet away, why did the blue creature send me out after it? Couldn't he have done it himself? I shook my head and tried to clear my thoughts, still keeping in mind that this could be a trap though.
I thrusted my arms forward before pushing them back to my sides, as I did so, I pushed off with my legs. I repeated the motion as an attempt to swim forward while chained up. It took a few tries, but I soon began to putt forwards.
I was about halfway to the point when I realized that the task seemed to be too simple, that's when a shudder tingled down my back. A roar echoed through the waters and out of the corner of my eye, a large purple tentacle shot out towards me. I was struck and forced ten feet away from the black dot.
"The hell!?!?"
I thought to myself as I finally stopped myself from spinning. This simplistic task soon seemed to appear impossible.
My heartbeat began to race, the thumping noise echoing in my ears. Frantically paddling, I tried as hard as I could to reach the crown.
Multiple tentacles shot out at me, I tried my best to avoid them, but a few of them thrusted hard into my gut.
I gasped as one literally knocked the wind out of me.
"No!" I gasped again, expecting my lungs to be filled with water. But whatever I was floating in, was not water.
I was surprised and shocked that I could breathe in the water.
I looked around to find the creature with the tentacles, when all of a sudden a large purple tentacle smashed into my face and flung me back.
Once I stopped spinning, I noticed that the creature had actually pushed me closer to the crown. I smirked and grabbed crown.
I did it!
I cheered inside my head, but my celebrations were cut short. A rumbling noise echoed through the substance before a pillar slowly began to rise beneath me.
What's going on? Is this part of the task?
I looked back to the room, but it wasn't there.
