Chara moved her knife in front of her to conceal it from the monster behind her as she turned her head to take a peek at it. A hood covered it's features but a familiar smile etched its features, although she doesn't know where she's seen it. The monster opened its eyes as the smile grew wider, almost sinister. "Human..." it said, its voice low and gruff. A shiver ran down her spine at the tone of his voice and his glowing pupils looked her up and down. "Don't you know how to greet a new pal? T u r n a r o u n d," As if it was possible, his voice dropped lower and her breath hitched as she turned and saw him holding out his hand for a handshake. Chara took it and almost stabbed the monster when a sound startled her. The monster took off his hood and winked at her with a joking smile on his face. "Haha, the whoopee cushion in the hand trick, it works every time. So I'm assuming you're Chara, Frisk talks about you non stop. How she talks about you, I would think you were a goddess, but..." He said, scanning his eyes over her body, silently saying something about the blood and dust.
"I am not some buffet you can look at!" She said, turning the problem around on him and a blue blush of embarrassment appeared on his cheeks before he crossed his arms with a glare.
"That isn't exactly what I was hinting at sweetheart," He said, putting emphasis on the nickname and Chara scoffed. She gained memories with this skeleton. She remembers a judgement hall. He hurt her a lot, she remembers. For what, she doesn't exactly know. "Anyways, don't let that itchy trigger finger of yours get you into trouble," He said and Chara assumes he saw her react to his prank. "How rude, forgot to introduce myself, if you don't remember like Frisk doesn't," he muttered the last part and shook his head. "I'm Sans, Sans the skeleton,"
"I'm Chara, Chara the human," She interrupted him with a smartass remark and Sans couldn't help but laugh at it.
"God, I hate you but I have to admit, that was a little funny," Sans said as he shoved his hands into his pockets.
"Where's my sister?" Chara said, labeling Frisk as her sister. They had taken the role of sisters when they had lived with Toriel. Chara assumed that Frisk had introduced her as such and a fond smile made its way to Sans' face.
"You just missed her, she just made it Waterfall. Actually, I'm supposed to be at a station there, I'll say hi to her for you," Sans promised, fully intending to not do that. He would not be the one to tell Frisk about Chara being here. He winked one last time at the brunette and teleported, turning into more than blue wisps of magic. Chara turned and suddenly had an urge to cause some chaos. The blood on her had begun to dry and she had an overwhelming feeling to get the warm liquid back on her body. She spotted a Snowdrake and smiled as she walked torwads it.

Chara stuck a finger in her mouth to taste the blood that was on it. She found the feeling to be exhilarating and she was honestly having fun. She was walking forward when she spotted a taller skeleton trying to fix this one puzzle in front of her that had a pink line and two red ones beside it. The skeleton grunted as he looked at the controls of the puzzle and Chara walked across it, notifying him of her presence. "AH! ANOTHER HUMAN? YOU MUST BE CHARA! ALTHOUGH YOU DONT LOOK VERY FRIENDLY... NEVERTHELESS, I WILL GIVE YOU THE HOSPITALITY OF A HOST AND MAKE SURE MY BROTHER SANS WILL DO THE SAME!" Chara stopped in her tracks as confusion took over her mind. This skeleton was much nicer and had stunned the demon. She concealed the knife in her satchel and mustered the gentlest smile she could.
"Greetings," she said, sticking out her hand for a handshake and he accepted happily with a grin.
"HELLO, HUMAN!"
"What's your name?" Chara asked, her brain working overtime. She sensed that she could do something more with this monster but was having a hard time deciphering what her gut was telling her.
"I AM THE GREAT PAPYRUS! BUT I SUPPOSE PAPYRUS IS JUST FINE!" He said with a smile as warm as the sun. The warm feeling filled Chara for a second, despite the cold. She shook her head, giving him her neutral expression again.
"Papyrus. So, what are you doing?" Chara asked
"WELL, AFTER FRISK HAD LEFT TO WATERFALL, I HAD DECIDED TO GET READY FOR YOU BUT I THINK YOU ALREADY SOLVED THE PUZZLE..." He said disappointedly and Chara looked behind her to the broken puzzle she had just passed over and began what was a form of an apology until Papyrus sighed happily. "NO MATTER! I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, WILL TRIGER THE NEXT ONE! NYEH HEH HEH!" He said, his laugh startling her but Chara breathed a laugh at it. At that moment, her body seemed to finally notice the cold and made obvious signs. Her toes and fingers felt frozen and her face felt hot from the permanent blush settled on her cheeks.
"Papyrus?" Chara said in a questioning tone and Papyrus looked down at her curiously. She noticed he was a lot taller than her. She stood at 5'4 while he had probably astounded his parents with a 6'10. "You say you're very great, is that true?"
"WHY OF COURSE! SANS SAYS SO ALL THE TIME AND I HAVE NO REASON TO NOT BELIEVE HIM!" Papyrus said with a trusting tone.
"I think he's right,"
"NYEH?"
"I think you are great," Chara said with a smile as she figured out just what he gut was telling her. She wanted to break Sans' heart and soul and what better way than to use his brother?
