Warm. It was a nice change from the cold that had blanketed her when she died but was unwelcome for she didn't know what happened. Was it a reset? Was she finally dead? Would she stay dead this time? Frisk forced her eyes open and was met with a dirt wall. Blood trickled down her head and a headache was bound to come. Flowers surrounded her as she looked up to see where she had fell. Not even the sweet release of death could come for her. The thought pained her, she couldn't escape. She forced herself to prop herself up on her arms as tears threatened to make themselves known. She tried to steady her breathing and was surprised when a laugh escaped her lips. This was her breaking point. Frisk thought about banging her head against the ground just to die with the little hope that she won't come back. Frisk's body shook with an unbearable pain all of a sudden, being thrown against a wall, echoing a loud bang. The same thing happened more times while a bright red light shown. More blood. More pain. A scream surrounded the emptiness of the room as the red glow turned white and cold.

Multiple kicks greeted her as she woke in the cold corner of the room. Her thin eyes opened as much as it could. She studied the almost ghostly body, seeing freckles, rosy cheeks, and pale skin. The person moved with barely any effort, as if she was a ghost. Frisk would've thought it was a figment of her imagination if the person did not touch her neck, checking for a pulse. The warm hand moved to her face in an almost worried manner but then red eyes met brown and her already pink cheeks turned red, coloring her nose as well before she glared and brought her hand to herself.
"I suppose I should say something," The person said, giving Frisk a moment to have some reaction but was met with none. She huffed a muttered something under her breath. "Greetings, I am Chara," The girl said and Frisk dimmed at the name, not knowing why. Frisk made no attempt to get up as Chara stood and Chara's facial features turned into that of a glare. "Get up," Chara demanded and Frisk tried but could not find the energy. She couldn't find the willpower and Chara rolled her eyes. "Of course," Chara said. With determination in both their souls, it would make sense she would be revived to replace Frisk's loss of determination. Frisk looked to her.
"What?"
"Nothing, get the fuck up," Chara said as she pulled her up to her feet and dusted her off, she looked worse for wear and the sight of Frisk's blood made Chara a little disgusted. "You should be dead," She said and Frisk gave an agreeing nod. It had been too eager for Chara's taste but she ignored it, deciding to not ask questions that go in too deep. Chara took a step forward but stopped short when she felt a tug on her sweater. She looked to the source of it, seeing Frisk hanging onto her. "What? You scared?" Silence only took place and Chara walked forward with the ever noticeable pull on the back of her sweater. Flowey had met them first and he smiled.
"Howdy, I'm Flowey, Flowey the..." Flowey's smile turned into one of confusion as he looked at the two girls. One cowering behind the other and one looking exactly like his dead sister. Sweat formed on his forehead and he laughed nervously and then his laugh took a more sinister turn. "This isn't real, right?" Silence met him and an uncomfortable feeling enveloped his being. "Ha ha... ha... If you think that I'm this big of an idiot, t-then you're dumber than you look," Flowey's smile faded and a glare passed over his face. "Hey! Stop that!" "STOP IT!" He said, his anger pouring out. "I SAID STOP IT!" White pellets surrounded around the almost void of determination soul that was Frisk as he laughed maniacally, waiting for the blow.
The familiar feeling of Flowey's attacks never came even as Frisk closed her eyes. Toriel came into both the teenager's line of sight and Chara's face showed hints of surprise. Toriel looked as if she hadn't noticed Chara yet, even if she was in front of Frisk. "Hello, my child, I am Toriel, caretaker of the RUINS, I come by here.. every... day..." she slowed down as a flurry of emotions shown over her face. Every emotion you could think of shown as she looked at her revived child finally coming into view. Toriel dropped to her knees and suddenly pulled Chara into a hug, tears streaming down her face and snot pour out of her nostrils. Frisk stood almost awkwardly at the heartwarming reunion. It felt as if it was a sacred moment that should not have been shared with her. Toriel barely had a hold of herself before she got up and started talking again, Chara and Frisk not being able to understand the jumbled words accompanied with the sound of crying. She took hold of both hands, squeezing Chara's firmer. "I'm truly sorry you had to meet me this way, my child, I am not usually this emotional, it is just that this is my child and I haven't seen them... in a long time," She said to Frisk, wiping her tears on her sleeve.

At the practice dummy, Frisk had a hard time letting go of Toriel or Chara but eventually stood in front of the dummy, taking Toriel's advice and talking to it, being able to spare it. When Chara came to encounter it, Chara refused to even start a fight with it, not wanting to practice. When she was forced to, Chara punched and kicked and even tore out the stuffing. It left Toriel with a paranoid look but was happy for her child's self defense and Frisk with a pale face. Chara apologized at her actions, saying she was just frustrated at Toriel's insisting. Frisk favored Toriel's dress sleeve after that but Chara didn't care, the repetitive tug on her sweater had gotten annoying anyways.

As Toriel had left them alone, reluctantly, Frisk gripped onto Chara's sweater again. "Chara, what are we gonna do?"
"Disobey the rules?" Chara said as if it was obvious but Frisk made an opposing whine. When Chara continued walking, Frisk followed her, holding her hand this time and Chara gave a glare, mentally saying Don't push it.
Frisk let go and settled for the shirt again.

The teenagers made it to Toriel's home and and was greeted by the kindly goat monster with a huge smile and a hug for both. Toriel led them inside, the smell of butterscotch cinnamon pie filled Chara's nostrils and it gave her a deep feeling of nostalgia. She didn't hear the words Toriel had said to Frisk but had immediately perked up when Toriel's hand gently laid on her cheek and a smile formed on Toriel's lips. "Welcome home," She said in a sweet tone and walked into the kitchen. Frisk was wondering on her own since the first time Frisk met Chara and she saw her go into a room. Chara ignored it. She had an overwhelming feeling to look for the knives but instead went into the room next to the one Frisk entered.
"So, where did mom get these jokes from?" She asked between giggles as she looked at Toriel's joke book. She decided it was enough snooping and met her mom in the kitchen.
"Ah, my child, would you like to have the first slice of pie?" Toriel asked as she outstretched a hand to offer her the pie. Chara couldn't help but smile as she nodded and Toriel placed a kiss on her cheek. "I love you, Chara, don't ever forget that," Toriel said as she handed her a plate and went off to another part of the house with another plate. Chara pulled open the silverware drawer to get a fork but her heart raced as she saw a perfectly sharp knife. It was enough to cause damage to a body. Her breathing turned funny and she looked behind her as she held the knife and smiled. Toriel wouldn't mind, right? She put the knife in her satchel and continued for a fork to eat her pie.

Frisk was gone, wanting to see the world and such. She had spent four weeks here before going. It surprised Chara, seeing as Frisk had possible separation anxiety and was very afraid of almost everything. She supposed her determination was coming back. That meant Chara was going to disappear soon. I guess. I guess we're gonna have to take measures.
As Toriel and Chara got ready for bed, Chara went into her room and took hold of the knife, testing it out before putting her plan into action. At midnight, Chara snuck out of her room and down the hall where Toriel sleeps, the knife hidden behind her back. She opened the door and stood at the foot of the bed. After a few seconds, Toriel woke up and took time to register that it was Chara.
"Ah, my child, have you come because of a memory, I know you used to have those. I remember you needed comfort," It would hurt more for her to see me go as well "If you need comfort, please do not hesitate, I am right here," You need to kill her "Come here," Toriel said with her arms stretched, ready for a cuddle hug and Chara got onto the bed, making a movement to accept it until a knife was plunged into her chest. The pain, hurt and betrayal that shown in her eyes would forever haunt Chara and before Toriel could speak her peace, Chara struck the knife into her head, killing her instantly. As much as she didn't have a soul, the pain in her heart made it seem as though it wasn't as true as she'd like it to be. Tears did not fall as Chara watched with an emotionless face, pulling the knife out but the heartbreak was still evident. She had spared her ears from the words Toriel was most likely going to say. Chara walked out, not bothering to clean her mess and walking out the same way Frisk had.
"Shit!" Chara said as she walked out. Her right foot sinking into the snow as she took her first step and then she noticed the cold. Should she go back to get a jacket? It sounded appealing but her body would not cooperate, not wanting to risk having to see Toriel's remains. She ventured on, gripping a bloody knife and wearing bloody clothes, dust also covering her from head to toe. She could always wash off a little bit by rolling around in the snow, snow is just frozen water right? Whatever Chara had wanted to do had died as she stopped in her tracks when a twig snapped.
RainbowColors8 This is her book idea and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy writing it and yes, my loyal readers, this will be a Chara x Papyrus book, just wait for it. This wasn't as early as I'd of liked it to be but what can you do? The cover image is also made by them unless they ask me to change it, I honestly think it's cute and adorable.
