Adam's POV

"What the fudge do you mean she's gone?" Alex yells back

"Just come over!"

I say and disconnect the call.

I try calling Arina but she is not receiving the call.

I decide to call her mother.

" Salaam aunt!" I greet when she picks the call.

"Waalikum asalam! How are you beta?"

"Alhumdullilah I am good! How are you?"

"Alhumdullilah I am very well too!"

"Aunt! Are you and uncle home?"

"No, we are in New Jersey! Why? Even Arina called to ask that!"

"Oh ok! Enjoy your stay!"

"Why are you asking, Adam? Is everything alright?" She ask worried

"Yes! Aunt, everything is fine! Its just we wanted to come over!"

I make up an excuse seeing the fact that Arina didn't inform them yet.

"Oh ok! We are returning back tomorrow morning so come over for lunch?"

"Sure! Insha Allah see you tomorrow! Allah Hafiz!"

After saying Goodbye to her, I wait for Alex to come and soon he arrives.

I know Arina must have used the extra key to enter her parents home.

I can't go to her now because I have to do something very important before that.

"So why did she leave?" He enquires

"Remember the contract?" And then I tell him everything.

"Great! Amazing! Fantastic! Spec-"

"Shut up, Alex!"

"You just let her go, Adam!"

"I wasn't home!"

"But you haram piece of shawarma reminded her!" He scolds

"But..I didn't know she will leave like this! I told her because I want her to be happy! I knew I couldn't make her happy and respect her the way she deserves."

"She loves you, Adam! She can only be happy if she stays with you! I am sure she left before the date so she don't get  hurt when you tell her to go!"

"But.."

"No ifs and buts! Do you love her?"

"Yes!" I reply

"Then you will go get her! You know that will make her the happiest!"

"I..I will go!" I agree

We love each other so I am sure none of us with me happy separated!

Alex leaves after a while and then I get in the car to drive to mum's.

I need to tell her and Alina everything!

Soon I arrive at the destination and exit the car.

As I reach the entrance I see Alina coming down the stairs.

"Bhaiii!" She runs over and hugs me

"How come you are here?" She asks

"Where is mum?"

"In the room. Is everything alright?"

"Hmm.."

I ascend upstairs and enter mum's room.

She is sitting on the sofa reading an Islamic book.

"Asalam Alaikum mum!" I greet

"Waalikum asalam, Son!"

I go, sit next to her and place my head on her lap.

"Adam! What happened?"

I tell her everything while the tears are escaping my eye lids.

"I am so disappointed of you, Adam!"

"I..I am sorry!"

"Don't say sorry to me! Say it to Arina! She is more than a daughter in law to me!  I love her and I want her back here!"

"I..I will bring her back! I love her mama!"

She kisses me on the forehead and tells me that she will come with me.

"I think we should go tomorrow so that I talk to her parents too! I want to tell them too!"

"Why? Where are her parents?"

"Jersey. They will be here tomorrow morning insha Allah."

"Okay!"

I then have dinner with them, the whole time Alina is glaring at me.

"Can you stop?! I am going to get her tomorrow!"

"You better!" She says with her finger pointing at me as a threat.

After dinner I leave for my apartment.

Mum don't stop me because she knows I need time.

When I enter the apartment, it feels so cold and lonely.

It doesn't feel like home.

I don't see no Arina running around doing chorus or humming to nasheeds in the kitchen.

I climb up to our room but I don't see any of her belongings.

Without any thoughts I enter the bathroom to make wudu.

After wudu I go to grab a prayer mat and I see her prayer mat next to mine.

Without a second thought I grab it and pray on it.

The peace I feel while praying is unexplainable.

I can smell the scent of her perfume from the prayer mat.

I remember she only applies perfume inside the house as there are no non mehrams.

After I am done with praying, I stay seated on the mat for about an hour asking Allah for forgiveness of all the sins I have committed.

Once done with that, I grab my Quran from the shelf and start reciting.

Later I go to bed but sleep is no where near and all I do the whole night is think about her.

If she didn't come into my life, I would still be the mess I was. 

I am going to get her tomorrow. At any cost!

Arina's POV

I get soaked it in the rain but continue walking thinking about all the moments we had.

Thinking about his transformation.

I start walking back home as it is isha time.

Once I reach home, I enter the empty house and say salaam loudly like I used to 6 months ago.

Then, I ascend upstairs into my old bedroom and run into shower after grabbing my favourite batman hoodie and sweatpants.

After shower, I dry my hair and put them in a hair pony tail.

Then I put on my abaya and pray Isha prayer and recite Quran.

I realise that I left my favourite prayer mat at his apartment.

I'll send someone to get that tomorrow.

Hearing my stomach make noises for food, I run to the kitchen and make myself a quick meal.

Done with dinner, I jump into my warm comforter and sleep.

Well try to.

After thinking for few hours I finally drift into sleep.

Saturday Morning

I wake up to the sound of the Adhan alarm on my phone and pray fajr.

I jump back onto the bed after reciting surah Yaseen due to the lack of sleep the whole night.

The next time I wake up it is quite late in the afternoon.

I check the time and realise Zuhr is in 30 mins.

Wow I slept the whole morning!

This is so bad.

I quickly run into the bathroom and take a quick shower.

I change into one of my comfortable outfit and make a messy bun before descending downstairs for some brunch.

When I come down, I hear noise coming from the living room as if the television is on.

When I enter the living room, I see my parents sitting on the couch watching a Pakistani news channel.

Mama sees if and stands up hurriedly.

"Arina! When did you come?"

"Las..Last night?" I reply unsure

"Last night! But I told both you and Adam that we are away!" She says surprised.

"Yeah..I...uh..missed home so I came to spend the night."

"You could've come today! Adam must be alone and you spent the night alone too!" She scolds lightly

"Mama! Can I please have some food? I'm super hungry!"

"Is everything alright? With Adam?"

"Y..yeah all good!"

"Okay you sit with your dad and I'll set the table."

I smile at her and go to greet dad.

We sit together and talk about business and my studies till mama call for lunch.

After lunch I go to my room and pray my Zuhr salah.

I take my abaya and hijab off that I wore for prayer as I had a T- shirt and sweatpants on.

I don't feel like going down.

Making a messy bun, I grab a book from the shelf called "The Ideal Muslimah" by Muhammad Ali Al-Hashmi that was gifted to me and start reading next to the window seat.

Adam's POV

When I wake up it is 10 am so I straight away drive to my house and have breakfast with mama even though it is quite late for a breakfast.

Then I wait for Alina to come home from her class as she also wanted to go to Arina's house with me.

Once she's home, we pray Zuhr and have lunch before driving to her house.

As we reach there and ring the bell, Mr. Khan comes to open the door and he seems quite surprised upon our arrival.

Guess Arina didn't tell them anything.

We all go sit in the living room and Arina's mum greets us and goes to bring us some drinks.

I wait for her to come back before I start talking to them.

"Umm...Uncle? Aunty..I have to tell you both something very important." I start

"What?" Aunty asks worried.

I start telling them everything from the start not missing out any details.

I could see Mr. Khan getting mad at first but then he listened calmly.

I guess they took it in well but not too well.

"How could you do that to my daughter? Why did she not tell us anything?" Mr. Khan asks in anger

"I..I was not a good person before but wallahi I have changed. I told her not to tell anyone but uncle I swear I love her and I promise to always treat her like a Queen. Please trust me." I say with a tear dropping

"Okay but if you ever do anything like this agai-"

"I won't! Never!" I reassure him

"She's in her room!" Mrs. Khan informs me with a smile and I run up to her room

The door is locked so I knock and soon here footsteps coming near.

The door opens to reveal a beautiful and messy looking Arina with no hijab on.

Arina's POV

I hear someone knock on the door while I am reading so I place the book on the seat and get up to open the door.

Its probably dad because mama don't knock.

Desi mom.

When I open the door, I get shocked to see Adam standing in front of me.

In an instant I try to close the door but he holds it so I move back and stand next to my bed.

"Arina!"

No reply

"I am sorry for everything I did. Making the contract was the stupidest thing I ever did."

I look back at him to see if standing and holding his ears, he also have some papers in his hand.

"You are the best thing that ever happened to me and I am so thankful to Allah for you. "

"Adam.."

"Shhh."

"I've been such a bad husband and friend but...I promise to be the best I can be and treat you like a Queen."

He holds my hands.

"Mrs. Arina Khan..will you frgive me and be my Muslim queen?"

"I...I forgive you, Adam!"

He hugs me and I hug back.

"I..I love you for the sake of Allah, Arina!"

"I Love you too, Adam!"

And then I hear murmurs of Mash Allah so quickly step away from Adam and look up to see the whole family smiling at us.

I run to my parents and hug them before hugging Alina and then mum.

"Congratulations on your success!" She says cheerfully

"Success? In what?" I ask confused

"Breaking His Walls"

ALHUMDULLILAH I am good but I feel lil emotional.

So the last chapter of breaking his walls.

I am literally crying. My first ever book reached its last chapter.

Thank you so much everyone for all the support you have been giving me.

I love you all so much.

Now I don't what to decide.
