Arina's POV

Once done with the Awards, me, Alina and mom get into the car and direct the driver.

Alex's family gets in their car and follows us.

My parents also arrived an hour ago and are now on their way to the area.

Soon, we reach our desired destination and hurriedly jump out the car to double check everything seeing that Alex will arrive anytime with Adam now.

We planned to do the birthday and the Award celebration in a beautiful park next to a lake as Adam and our families love nature.

The whole place is decorated with fairy lights, small banners with "Happy Birthday Adam" written on them and a lot of other various party stuff.

I get a text from Alex that they have reached.

We turn of all the lights and the park management helps us in turning off the park lights as we have booked the park for today.

I hear footsteps nearing our organised place and then they stop.

Getting a signal that they have reached successfully, we all jump up.

"Surprise!!!" We all scream together excited.

I could see Adam was surprised.

"Woah.." He says dazed

Mom goes to hug him. She gives him birthday wishes and congratulate.

Next are mama and baba who go up to meet him, baba hugs him and mama kisses his forehead and gives him the birthday wishes and congratulates him.

Alina, Alex's parents and Alex then do it in turns and I am last.

"Happy Birthday Adam" I say slowly

"Thanks...Arina" he replies

We stand there for a while before it is the cake cutting time.

Adam tries to say No to that.

"This is so childish! I turned 23 not 13" He tried to reason.

"Cake cutting doesn't have any age limit so just keep quiet and carry on with the cutting" Alex tells him

So he have to cut the cake anyways and then feed it to everyone.

We then have the dinner there and spend some family time before the elders leave for the hotel and we stay back to clear the mess and set the place back to its original self.

While we are cleaning, Adam grabs my hand and pulls me to the side.

He looks at me as if wanting to say something.

"Yeah?" I ask to encourage him to speak

"Thanks"

"Huh"

"I know you are the one who came up with this idea and also thank you for everything"

"Adam, its my duty! You don't need to keep thanking me. If you thank me again the consequences won't be good"  I try to say it with anger making Adam laugh

He actually laughed!

Oh My Allah! I have never seen him laugh. He used to rarely smile but these days he smiles more often and now laugh.

Alhumdullilah Alhumdullilah!!

"Adam! Please always keep smiling and laughing! It looks good on you!" I say sincerely with a smile

What he does surprises me!

He kiss me on the forehead.

"Okay" he smiled and walks away.

Alhumdullilah! Thank you so much Allah for helping me. Always and Forever.

Soon, we are done with our work and proceed towards the hotel to call it a night.

The rest of the weekend is spent going to different points of attractions like Universal Studios, hiking to see the Hollywood sign and going shopping.

On Sunday at night we flew back home as we had university and work the next day.

The next week was a busy week, full of assignments and classes for me and meetings for Adam.

I used to go to Uni during late mornings and come at Asr time. Then used to do my chorus and make dinner for both me and Adam. Once Adam would arrive and freshen up, we would then have dinner and watch TV before Isha.

So it was a boring week.

Alhumdullilah today is Saturday so both of us are home.

I planned to go to Movies with Adam and later to central park.

Right now, Adam is praying Asr and as I have already prayed so I am getting ready.

I look out the bedroom window to see light rain.

Once I am ready, I go to the kitchen to grab a quick snack while Adam gets ready.

As I have my snack and Adam is also ready, we proceed towards the door suddenly it starts pouring heavily.

Adam seems busy on his phone but suddenly looks up.

"I don't think we can go today?"

"Whyy?! We can go after the rain stops" i say sulking

"According to the news, there are high chances of heavy rainfall and storm today"

"Oh" i get sad hearing the new information.

I just walk to the couches and sit there.

I was so excited the plan today. I only have 3 weeks left with Adam and I wanted to make the most out of it.

My phone rings so I excuse myself to attend the call.

Its a friend from uni calling to ask for notes so I climb upstairs to grab my laptop in order to email them on to her.

Once done with emailing, I go back downstairs to see what Adam is up to.

As I near the living room and the TV area, what I see just makes me so happy.

Some movies are kept on the table next to the large TV screen and snacks along with drinks are kept on the table in front of the couch with have a blanket on it.

The only person in the house without me right now is Adam.

That means its him who did this!

Unbelievable!

I walk to the kitchen but don't see him anywhere so turn back to leave when I hear shuffling inside a room next to the kitchen.

I never knew there was a room there.

As I near the room I realise that it is a store room.

Adam is inside the room and He is fiddling with  a machine in the corner.

"Hey!"

"Oh..Hi! What are you doing in here"

"I came to look for you! How come I didn't know about this place?"

"You never asked"

"True! So what are you doing?"

"Making popcorn" He asked in a duh tone

"WE HAVE A POPCORN MACHINE?!?!"

"Yes we do"

"Since when and how?! Why did I not know about this" I say screaming excitedly

"Woman stop screaming!!" He yells

"Alhumdullilah you didn't know about this and I regret coming here now!" He says annoyed

"Sorry sorry! I just love popcorn"

"Okay! I get it"

"So why do you have a popcorn machine?"

"Alina"

"Right"

"Okay Popcorn's ready! Let's go"

"Where?"

"The living room for movies?" He says

I don't ask him anything about why he did all this because  I know that will ruin the moment so I let it be.

We both walk into the living room after grabbing our drinks from the refrigerator and get comfortable on the couches.

"So which movie?"

"I don't know but I wanna watch rom-com"

"Action!"

"Rom-com"

"Action"

"ROM-COM" i yell making him quite

At the end we settle in watching one of each.

By the end of the second movie, Adam is asleep on the couch.

I look at the time to see its evening already.

We didn't realise how fast the time went, we only took prayer breaks.

As there is still time left for maghreb so I let him sleep.

When the maghreb adhan us done, He wakes up and we pray together.

We also make dinner together, by which I mean I make the dinner and he makes the mess.

Overall, we have a great day together Alhumdullilah.

The next day is also the same, chilling together, praying together and cooking together.

It was hard to believe it was the same Adam from few months ago.
