Tonks had lived an interesting experience at Hogwarts to say the least, she still could barely walk wothout tripping on her feet but she had gotten good grades in most of her classes, specially in defense and transfiguration of course and he had gotten a handle on her metamorphomagus powers except for her hair, when people tried to make fun of her she would turn into them and say embarassing things about them as long as she didn't get caught by any of her professors.

She and Charlie Weasley remained good friends but he was better with his animals, while Tonks was still bent on being an Auror and she was taking her N.E.W.Ts next week she was studying pretty hard with her only friend in Hufflepuff Clarissa Rutter, Clarissa was a muggleborn who also wanted to be an Auror as well. Well maybe Tonks and Clary were a little closer than friends, Tonks wasn't sure of what exactly her relationship was with Clary, as Clary had tried to kiss her last week but Tonks had refused, she enjoyed Clary's company, and all but she didn't  like Clary like that, she wasn't sure she was too focused on her exams and getting her Auror apprenticeship, she couldn't fail that, she had worked all her life for this, made her best to succed in her classes dspite her clumpsiness, her not being very organized when it came to things, she had to ace the exams.

"Tonkie, I need to talk to you about something" Clary said.

"What is it Clary? does it have to do with the exams?" Tonks asked.

"Not really but it's important, my parents they got a job offer in America and will be leaving this summer and I was thinking of going with them" Clary said.

"why? you don't have to you're an adult by both muggle and wizard standards, and we'll be getting our Auror apprenticeships remember?" Tonks said

"I am not sure I want to take it here" Clary said.

"What is that supposed to mean?" Tonks said.

"Tonkie, I don't belong here, I've never been that confortable at hogwarts, and from what you've told me MACUSA sounds so cool, the only thing stopping me from leaving is you Tonks, but from the way you reacted to the kiss I see that you don't see this the way I see it" Clary said.

"I don't even know how I see it" Tonks said.

"I get it right now you're too focused in your future, but I want something else somewhere else" Clary said.

Tonks was heading to the ministry to apply for her Auror apprenticeship, she had done ok on her exams but she wasn't sure it was enough to get her apprenticeship, she had been distracted because of the situation with Clary, who had sent her a letter saying that MACUSA had accepted her application.

As Tonks went to the department of Magical Justice she got extremeley nervous specially as Sangus and his friend Calista Blackwood were also applying for the apprenticeship, why would two blood elitists children of deatheaters apply to be Aurors was beyond her understanding.

"Is Clutsadora lost? I'm sure this isn't a magical circus, only the best wizards get to be Aurors, why would a freak like you be an Auror" Calista said.

"Because I actually care about others, I care about making a better wizarding world, all of it not just the fancy elites like you" Tonks said.

"this world is made for pure untainted bloods like us not like you and your mudblood deviant of a friend" Calista spat.

"Miss Blackwood, you should know that we don't accept that vocabulary amongst our Auror apprentices, if you want this job you will have to cut it and your prejudices as well" said behind them a massive man that Tonks recognized as Alastor Moody from the Order meetings in her house, with a magical eye and the scars from back in the day.

"Oh and Miss Tonks it's nice to see you here" Moody said as well

"Thank you Mr Moody" Tonks said.

"Now let's get the applications in session, we'll take a look at your N.E.W.Ts and then we'll test you on the different skills required to be an Auror, Stealth, camouflage, defensive magic and agility to see what we're working with"The head of department said.

"it's not fair, Tonks is a metamorphomagus, she has an unfair advantage in camouflage" Sangius said.

"Mr Rowle each of us has our own strenghts and weaknesses and it's important to identify them in order to use them to our advantage, there is nothing unfair about that" Moody said.

"fine it wont matter as her cluts won't let her pass agility and stealth" Calista said.

"you're right Cal" Sangius said.

The abilities tests went as espected, Tonks excelled in defensive magic and camouflage was a piece of cake, but she coudln't help but fall over herself multiple times during agility and stealth.

"Well we have taken a decision, Mr Rowle, I'm sorry but you haven't passed the test specially after you sabotaged both of your fellow applicants tests" the head Auror said.

"both?" Calista said surprised. 

"Yes, both, he distracted Tonks during her agility test and he replaced your wand so that your defensive spells wouldn't work as well" Moody said.

"Sang?" Calista said angry

"If you're going to be my wife and mother of the next generation of the house of Rowle, I can't have you busy being an Auror" Sangius said.

"you really are that old school Sang? just because I believe in blood purity doesn't mean I also believe that I can't be active in the world" Calista said.

"moving on, Calista you'll be training under Delphina Crouch and Tonks Moody has asked to train you himself, welcome to your Auror apprenticeship" the head Auror said.

 Sangius left the room angry as Tonks went to hug Moody.

"Thank you Mr Moody, I will be the best student I can" Tonks said.

"I bet you will be, that's why I chose you Tonks those other two bafoons think that being an Auror they just can do whatever they want, but you you want to be an Auror for the right reason and you have a lot of potential, unusual potential, but that is the best potential, you'll be an exeptional Auror Tonks and call me Moody, we're going to work together now" Moody said.
