Chapter 11
When you walked into class the next day, bag slung over your shoulder and your uniform covering your bandages, it was slightly later than normal and several of the class was already gathered in small groups talking. Shouto was sitting at the back like always, staring at nothing in particular and not paying attention to your entrance.
"(Last Name)!" A floating uniform came up to you, getting a bit too close for comfort. "Are you okay?"
Uraraka, Midoriya, and Iida appeared from behind the uniform, which you were pretty sure was a girl. Because...of certain body parts. She most likely had an invisibility quirk.
"Yeah, I'm fine." She clapped her hands together happily before replying.
"I just realized!" she bubbled. "I haven't actually talked to you in person! I feel kinda embarrassed since it's already been a few days, hehe...but the name's Hagakure Tooru!"
"And you already said my name before, but I'm (Last Name) (Name)." You watched as she happily skipped back to her seat, talking to a boy with a large tail. Your attention was then diverted to the group of three who were waiting for Hagakure to leave.
"I must commend you for your bravery, (Last Name)!" Iida shouted passionately, waving his hand and arm stiffly in the air in a chopping motion. "I believe you are one of the strongest people I've ever met! You got hit in the chest twice really hard, and you were bleeding a lot, but—"
"I think she gets it, Iida," Uraraka interrupted, chuckling.
"I'm grateful that you think I'm strong though," you said.
"But it was really scary!" Midoriya countered. "It must've hurt a lot..."
"I passed out soon after, so it didn't hurt for long," you responded. You noticed Iida glancing at the clock, before he turned back to you.
"I must be a good class rep and tell everyone to sit down!" He stiffly walked to the front of the room as the you, Uraraka, and Midoriya took your seats. "Everyone, please sit down, class is starting!"
"..."
"The whole class is already sitting down," someone said.
"Yeah, you're the only one standing up."
Iida huffed and trudged back to his seat, stewing silently as the door opened.
"Is it a different teacher?"
Aizawa walked to his spot at the front, his entire body wrapped in white bandages and his usual clothes shoved on over top.
"You're back already?" Kaminari shouted.
"How manly!"
"I have an announcement to make," Aizawa grumbled, the majority of the class gulping nervously in response.
You rolled your eyes; it wasn't anything bad. If they checked the events of Yuuei High, they would know.
"The Yuuei Sports Festival is coming up soon."
"But is it okay to have it so soon after the villain attack?" Midoriya questioned. His emerald eyes stared at Aizawa in anticipation of his answer.
"They want to have it so they can show everything is fine. There's also going to be five times the security at the event," your teacher explained.
"That makes sense," Uraraka said happily.
"Now then, let's continue with class."
———
"If the Sports Festival is coming up, so we should train!" Uraraka exclaimed as she sat down at the lunch table you were at. Iida and Midoriya showed up a few moments after, holding lunch trays. Shouto and you were sitting nearby, barely any words exchanged between you. It didn't bother you; the two of you usually didn't talk during lunch anyways.
"Who are you going to train with, (Last Name)?" Midoriya asked.
"No one. I'm not going to train."
Uraraka looked confused at this. "Don't you want to improve yourself before you fight?"
"I don't need to improve my quirk, and if I keep my enemies far enough away from me, I won't have to fight with hand-to-hand combat," you explained, poking at your food.
"But..."
"What a cocky 1-A student," you heard from behind you. You twisted around to see the gray-eyed blond from your first day, his tray in hand. He had an indiscernible smirk on his face; you couldn't tell if he was looking down on you or not.
"Go away." You gave him a dirty look which he responded to with an eye roll.
"I heard your class got attacked by villains and you were knocked out!" he smirked, his expression only becoming more demeaning by the second. This boy was really starting to annoy you.
"She only passed out because she was holding back the really strong monster that almost killed us!" Midoriya spoke up, his gaze drifting from his food to the blond.
"Stop bugging them, Monoma," someone called, jogging up to your group. It was Kendou, the orange-haired girl you met your first day.
"But, Kendou, I'm simply—"
With a clean chop to the neck, Monoma was knocked out. He collapsed to the floor, Kendou catching his lunch tray in the process.
"Sorry about him!" she apologized, chuckling. "Bye now!"
Her hand clutching the back collar of Monoma's uniform, she dragged him away back to her table. Your entire table—you, Midoriya, Uraraka, Iida, and Shouto—all stared at her in confusion and utter shock.
"I could've knocked him out," you huffed, turning back to your lunch.
"But you probably would've knocked him out while sending him flying," Uraraka said, giggling.
"He would've deserved it. It's not the first time he's bothered me also."
When Midoriya asked you what happened, you proceeded to explained what happened your first day at lunch.
"He's such a —"
"(Last Name), I don't think you should be saying that."
———
The bell rung as you were finishing up your last class. Your notebooks and pencil case were shoved into your backpack, which was slung over your shoulder soon after.
"(Last Name), since you aren't doing any training yourself, would you mind helping me?" Uraraka asked after coming up to you timidly. She was worried you would reject her in a very embarrassing way.
"Sure, I guess," you murmured, preoccupied with trying to pull your phone out of your pocket.
"Thanks! You're the best!" She leapt on you, squeezing you in a tight hug. You very nearly dropped your phone in surprise; you weren't used to psychical contact. "Sorry..."
"Tomorrow's Saturday, so if you want, I can give you my phone number and you can message me a time and place to train," you suggested, unlocking your phone and handing it to her.
She quickly tapped in her number and contact name before giving the mobile device back to you.
"See you tomorrow! And thanks again," she said happily, her lips curved up in a cheerful smile.
"Right..."
"(Name)!" Nemuri burst into the class, causing Aizawa to groan.
"It's Midnight!" Mineta cried out, staring at her in her provocative hero costume. Blood started to trickle out of his nose at the sight of her.
"Do you need something?" you responded, waiting for her answer. She smirked playfully before replying.
"I see your friend thinks I'm sexy," she said, striking a pose with her chest and butt popping out. You could hear a burst of blood explode out of your perverted classmate. "Anyways! Let's go home now!"
"YOU LIVE WITH MIDNIGHT?!?" Mineta screamed. His head was spinning at the thought of the sexy pro hero and cute classmate living together.
"She's my adoptive mother," you replied coldly. "If you don't stop thinking dirty thoughts right now, I will bust your balls to America."
He squeaked in fear before running to hide behind Kaminari, who was laughing his head off.
"Such a wuss, man," he teased. The red-haired boy, Kirishima as you recalled, had come over too to join in.
"I'll come home later." You waved Nemuri off as you swept by her. She sighed as she watched your back disappear around the corner.
You opened up a map made of magic energy and a tracker. You were going to search for Bakugou so you could fight him.
"So he's just at the school gates right now," you murmured, before closing the map and teleporting to him.
"Holy shit!" He almost punched you when you appeared in front of him, a dark look in his crimson eyes.
"Fight me."
He looked taken aback for a moment before smirking. "Fuck yeah, bitch. I'm going to beat your ass to the moon."
"I just want to see how much stronger I am than you." Your hand latched onto his wrist and you teleported again to an open field in the middle of nowhere.
"Where the fuck are we?" His eyes traveled around the landscape, finding nothing but pristine, green grass and a few trees littered here and there.
"The middle of nowhere," you answered. "Like I said, I want to fight you. Now we don't have to worry about people seeing us. Think of this as a quick training match before the Sports Festival."
He grinned, smashing his fists together and creating a small explosion. "Perfect."
