Epilogue

It took an hour for his flight to land in Jeju-do.

And as soon as it did, Jungkook let out the loudest sigh as he quickly unfastened his seat belt and clambered down the stupid plane.

The past few months had been quite stressful for him and he just wanted to cool off already.

But his hopes saw a quick a death the moment he spotted a sea of travellers flocking the airport of the little isle. It looked so busy, and at every fucking part of the year, it was frustrating.

Can the Korean folk not find a better place to spend their summers at?

The ravenette rolled his eyes and struggled through the fancily dressed cliques, somehow making his way out of the airport and to the nearest bus station.

As he waited for the bus, he couldn't help but think about the bright side of this overcrowding. Crowd meant people and people meant money.
The more, the merrier.

He chuckled when he noticed he was already beginning to think like a proper businessman. Maybe it did run in the blood after all.

His thoughts were interrupted by a familiar honk and soon he was shimmying up the vehicle, heart beat finally picking up at the thought of reaching his destination.

"Where to?" The conductor asked him, beeping into his ticketing machine.

"Hamdeok, one."

Home.

______

"Hobi, could you please take this to number thirteen, I have to take out the berry pie before the base crust hardens-- oh my god I can't with these children! Who knocked off the peace lily pots!? Joon is so going to kill me--"

Seokjin stopped on his rushed sprint  when he spotted another one of those kids-- his customer's children, nudging a potted Jade plant off its secured position on the patio's raised lining.

"No! Stop!" He yelled, bounding towards the possible assault scene but it was too late.

The deed was done and the pot was on the floor, shattered.

"No! Fridgeing ship!!" He cursed, well without really cursing- as the kids bolted away, giggling like they just conquered Mario's palace. He reached the assault turned crime scene a bit too late, having nothing to do but cast a pitiful gaze at what once was a beautiful plant.

"Yah, Jin hyung! Can you calm down for a second?" It was Hoseok, flashing his usual bright smile and sparkling laughter as he moved towards the older.

"Easy for you to say. You don't have to live with a man who loves these trees more than you," he huffed, removing a few locks of faded purple hair from his forehead and tucking them behind his ear before crouching on his toes.

"Come on, help me bury the body before someone finds out."

Hoseok giggled at the statement, also reaching down to clear up the mess on the patio floor.

"Where's Jimin?" The older inquired, grimacing at the mud getting between his nails.

"Out," the blonde replied simply but a small smile crept up his lips, "He'll be back soon though, he knows Yoongi is coming to see us."

"Is he though? Last I heard Yoon was quite busy with his music assignment," Seokjin mumbled, instantly regretting it as the light in Hoseok's eyes dimmed a little.

"But don't worry he'll be here soon, the cafe is completing it's third month and I'm sure he wouldn't miss it for the world," seokjin smiled at the younger, who nodded back, happy again.

Honestly it didn't take much to placate Hoseok. A cup of iced tea, and both his husband and boyfriend (As adulterated as that sounds). Except everything just couldn't go the way they wanted to.

Once Seokjin moved to Jeju with Taehyung, Jimin decided to follow him there and learn business. Yoongi could'nt go because he was still completing his majors in music in Daegu university and Hoseok had to make a choice. Subsequently he chose to follow his employer and learn business too, along with his boyfriend and best friend.

It had been three months, since he'd last seen his husband and he wanted nothing more than to wrap him in his arms again.

"Also have you heard from Jungkook?" The older asked, a sheen of worry crossing his face, "He hasn't contacted me or his father for the past few days and I'm worried, do you think he'll be able to join in on the celebration?"

"I can't tell, really." Hoseok sighed, standing up with muddy hands and remnants of the clay pot, "he seems too be busy with his software major and photography consignments. The last we spoke to him, he was flying to Busan for a field project."

"Aish that brat, I told him to free up some space in his schedule to come see me, doesn't seem like he cares about his Appa anymore." He began to complain, only for a voice to interrupt him in the middle.

"Excuse me?"

Seokjin spun on his feet, lips breaking out into the widest smile when he spotted the said brat standing at his doorstep with his hands crossed and a big scowl on his face.

"Jungkookie!!" He squealed, trotting upto him and engulfing him into a big fatherly hug. Jungkook tried to remain angry, his pissed body language coming in the way of the hug, but he soon found himself melting into his father's embrace.

"I mished youh," the father cuddled the muscly boy, patting his head that reached only upto his shoulder.

"I missed you too," Jungkook sighed, letting himself be petted as he snuggled into the man's broad and warm chest, "it's been days~"

"It has," Seokjin admitted feeling lighter as he held his son again. His son.
Although unofficially, but the feeling never changed.

"How was your flight from Seoul?" He asked softly, drawing back to look at his face. Jungkook looked exhausted, but happy nonetheless and at the moment, it's what mattered the most to the elder.

"Dank," Jungkook winked, turning his head to find Hoseok smiling at him. They shared a brotherly side hug and exchanged little greetings. Hoseok looked around the younger's side, seemingly waiting to spot some other person who was supposed to be with him and the younger caught on.

"Yoongi's not here. I called him but he said he was busy. I'm sorry about that hyung." Jungkook bit his lip apologetically but the older boy was quick to shoot it down.

"It's not your fault! It's alright. Maybe he'll come around later." Hoseok flashed a smile, but it didn't quite reach his eyes.

"Kook you should go freshen up. I'll make you some lunch." Seokjin said, bringing the boy inside his large beach side cafe. Jungkook looked around in amazement, seemingly never having enough of how beautifully the older had decorated it. One look and you'd know it gave out the classic Seokjin vibe. It was bustling with travellers and he felt proud that his dads were doing good business.

"Where's Dad? And Taehyung?" Jungkook enquired, looking around the place for a glance of the two men mentioned.

"They're in the backyard. Namjoon broke the swing and I'm guessing Taehyung is helping him fix it."

The ravenette giggled at his second father's resigned tone. It seemed to be a regular occurrence in this household, with the younger father making it a point to fragment every article they owned with a simple touch or hurt himself instead.

So Jungkook bid a quick goodbye to his older father and ran out and around the good sized establishment to reach the backyard. It overlooked the calm sea, over it's white fences and sandy shores and Jungkook swore he hadn't seen something more pristine than that.

And just as he was informed, there they were. His birth father and his boyfriend (as uncanny as that sounds) trying to heave up the large porch swing from either sides, so the heavy weight on the other side of the top metal beam moved down and balanced it up.

"Okay Taetae, hoist it up on the count of three. One, two, fuck--" A loud sound reverberated through the backyard as the five seater swing fell back to the ground with a loud thunk.

"Ah, shit Taehyung are you okay?" Namjoon was quick to reach the younger's side, checking his hands and feet for any possible injuries. Taehyung threw his head back and laughed out loud, shaking his head at the silliness of the situation.

Namjoon smiled awkwardly, stepping back from the nineteen year old and glancing down at the abandoned swing.

"This shit is harder than I thought."

"Dad, Tae!!" The two males turned on their spots to find Jungkook running upto them with a skip in his step.

"Kookie!! What--" Taehyung let out, flabbergasted at his boyfriend's sudden unannounced arrival. Even Namjoon was pleasantly surprised. The blonde  opened his arms and Jungkook ran straight into them, spinning the two of them on their feet.

Jungkook quickly withdrew from the hug and placed a big kiss on his lips, surprising the older.

"Ew, Jungkook. How many times do I have to remind you to not kiss him infront of me!!" Namjoon scrunched his nose and looked away as the two boys parted for some air.

"And why should I listen to you? He's my boyfriend." Jungkook stated haughtily and his father rolled his eyes.

"But he's also my step son now, you're basically kissing your step brother." He said cheekily, causing the shorter ravenette to let out an indignant huff.

"He's not your step son. You didn't marry Appa."

"Yet."

"Can you both shut up!" Taehyung chuckled, holding his boyfriend by his shoulders as he tried to calm his agitation, "None of us share a, what you call-- a normal generic relationship here. But it's alright, we're away in our own little world so it's alright."

Namjoon flashed a small smile at his words. It was the truth. None of their close ones shared a relationship that was acceptable to the outside world, their society. There were gay relationships, polyarmous relationships, age concerned relationships-- he was dating a man, and his son was dating that man's son.

It couldn't have been more complicated. But like Taehyung said, they didn't really care at this point. Five months back they'd flown to Jeju and settled in the land he had previously purchased for Taehyung and it became their own little world.

Namjoon had filed a divorce against Sunmi and oddly yet unsurprisingly the latter didn't make a lot of fuss about it. It wasn't as simple as her getting up and saying 'about time' but it wasn't so difficult either. She asked him a few questions- why, when, how and that was it. He realised it only later, after two months of staying away from Seoul that Sunmi had been dating someone else. A younger boy, an American she met in her office. It was another love story, he'd rather not think about but he couldn't help but feel lighter at that.

He didn't hate Sunmi and always bore her best interests in his mind so it was rather relieving for him. She moved to Seoul and was currently in a live in relationship with that boy, ofcourse against her father's will but who cares?

Meanwhile Jungkook moved to Seoul university and began his major in Software development and pass in Photography.

He'd visit both his parents from time to time, quickly mixing up with both his mother's boyfriend and father's boyfriend. Needless to say Seokjin was his most favourite parent, sometimes even more than Namjoon himself. Not that he ever complained. The two shared a pristine bond, and it was more than just cute.

"How's Sunmi doing?" He asked the boy, as they casually walked along the gravelly shores.

"Good. Happy." Jungkook chirped, entwining his fingers with Taehyung, who walked beside him silently, "They bought a dog and named it Gureum."

Namjoon hummed and looked ahead, feeling nothing but satisfaction. Like someone set the pieces of a Jigsaw puzzle all too correctly.

"When's the party? Appa said something about it earlier," Jungkook looked at Taehyung, who shrugged in response.

"Tomorrow night, I think. It was supposed to be today but it's Sunday and there's more rush. He wants to keep it private so tomorrow it is."

Jungkook nodded back at looked over at the large prowling calmness of the sea. It was funny where life takes you once you let go of the restraints of the mind and the surroundings. Everything seems to be fair, having good enough reason to exist, just like their unnatural relationship dynamics.

Because no matter how unnatural, uncommon and taboo they were, they were the only things that brought them true peace.

_____

The beach side cafe buzzed with a soft classical melody, a light summer breeze swirling through its open interiors and flowing out of it's shimmering patio.

Hoseok turned in the open sign and closed the shop. It was Monday night, time to celebrate.

Seokjin was in the kitchen as usual, washing some ceramics for the special dinner that night when he felt a pair of warms hands wrap around his waist from behind.

He didn't have to turn around to know who it was.

"Took you long enough," Seokjin mumbled out smilingly, a small blush forming on his cheeks when he felt the other nosing the back of his neck, smelling him.

"Mmm," Namjoon drawled, breathing in a lungful of his lavender cologne, "I'm tired."

"I told you to leave the swing alone," The older tutted, still not turning around as he continued to finish the dishes, "I would've called the helpers anyway."

"Mh, I wanted to fix it myself because I was the one who broke it."

"You break everything." Seokjin giggled.

Namjoon grabbed his waist and spun him around to face himself, a small smirk playing on his lips.

"How about I break you instead?"

Seokjin snorted and slapped his arm but couldn't control the slight deepening of his blush.

"Get away from me you perv, I've got chores to do."

"So do I, I have like a week full of cash I haven't counted and I have yet to speak to Kai about extending the back of the cafe into a reading room."

"Your point?"

"Let's have sex, 30 minutes will not make any difference."

Seokjin gasped at the younger's lewd suggestion, quickly pushing him away but he couldn't deny that Namjoon's shameless had always turned him on.

"Shut up! Pervert, what if others heard us?" He spat, running a cautionary gaze around the place.

"Then you just need to be a little more quiet hyung," the younger finished his cheeky sentence with a cocky wink that threw the elder off.

"Out! Out of my kitchen or no dinner for you tonight," Seokjin declared, turning back to do the dishes or more to hide his impossibly red cheeks.

"Fine, fine." Namjoon resigned but didn't leave before a placing a chaste kiss on the side of Seokjin's neck, making him grow redder if possible.

______

Dinner was a chatty affair.

The oval table bustled with the to and fro of it's six occupants. In every ten minutes, one of them brought in a new dish and served the others, while the eaters stuffed themselves and blabbered on about anything and everything.

The conversations mostly consisted of how Jungkook's study was going in the Seoul university, how Jimin was managing in his accountancy class with zero mathematical aptitude, how Taehyung was not helping his friend out without a proper bribe and such.

They sorely missed the seventh one of the group, Yoongi, who called in earlier that afternoon to tell them he wasn't going to make it for the dinner and apologized.

Since then two of the members were put off in a bad mood, but only until this gorgeous dinner that seemed to enliven any person who came in its presence.

"I wonder if he'd ever write a song for me," Jimin mused, with a spoon in his mouth, "They used to say Yoongi was a lyrical genius back when I was in high school."

"Oh he must've already written a song for you," Taehyung said, sounding quite serious, "he was telling me something about a song once..."

"He was??" Jimin perked up, suddenly giddy, "what was it about?"

"A blanket kick (embarrassment)."

The others laughed out at his intentional jab, Hoseok begining to wipe his laughter tears as Jimin kicked Taehyung in the shin.

"But blanket kick was for my first ex."

They all looked at the source of the new voice, happy smiles breaking into their faces when they spotted their missing piece of the puzzle, standing by the doorstep in all his silver glory.

The mood at the dinner table was instantly triggered up a few more notches.

Seokjin sighed happily as Yoongi trudged into the house with a huge covered canvas in his hands.

"You said you were going to bail out! How come you're here?" Hoseok turned on his seat just in time for Yoongi to reach down and plop a kiss on his lips.

"I wasn't going to bail out, I just got late because I was making this." He said, pointing at the tall frame he now held under his armpit.

"What's in it?" Jimin asked, also turning on his seat to receive a wet kiss from the newcomer but his curiousity got the better of him, "Show me."

"Alright. Let's begin by opening the gifts first then." Yoongi smirked a lazy smile, setting the frame right in front of the group.

"Ready?"

With one wholesome rip, he tore of the paper covering the canvas, revealing a neatly written quote over a purple background:

"NO BLOOD TIES,

NO INCEST.

PERIODT.

😔✊"

"Yoongi~!!??"

"Oh my god--"
