"i officially hate myself."
Namjoon sighed for the umpteenth time, patting the back of an overdramatic Jin, while Yoongi looked like he just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.
"It's okay, hyung calm down." Namjoon tried again but Soekjin just shook his head and rubbed his temples.
"I'm the worst dad out there." The oldest said again, beating himself up for setting up the break up plan for his son and his boyfriend.
"Stop being overdramatic uncle," Yoongi drawled rolling his eyes, " It's not like you didn't know the consequences beforehand."
Namjoon nodded in agreement and looked over at Jin.
"And it's what we wanted. They haven't spoken to each other since the last two weeks! Sumni will be here next week everything is back on track! "
Soekjin pressed his lips and looked up, long feminine fingers circling the rim of his tea cup.
"You haven't seen Taehyung. He's a zombie. He doesn't want to eat, or talk or even go to school. He hasn't spoken much to me either you know and that's a first. " The older dad said, feeling worry rise up his tummy.
" That's where the rest of the steps come in, dear uncle." The youngest of the three then said, lips pulling into a smug smirk.
"Don't call me that!" Jin snapped making Namjoon shake his head slightly.
The silver head rolled his eyes and continued anyway.
"Now both you dork dads are supposed to go spend time with your children and then you know what to do, right? "
Both the men nodded their heads and rose to their feet, exchanging goodbyes with the youngest and exiting the little ramen shop on the other side of the town. A place they chose as their usual hangout because they couldn't meet up anywhere else without being caught.
Namjoon turned his gaze to the older, noticing he was still upset about how the entire ordeal turned out to be. He knew it was going to get ruthless at one point and to be honest he wasn't very ecstatic about seeing his own son lying wasted every night since the past week.
"Hey." He prompted trying to catch the older's attention.
"Hmm?"
"You don't look like an uncle."
Namjoon chuckled as the older's features lit up suddenly, eyes going wide and all giddy, plump lips pulling into an excited smile.
"I know right? This yoongi is always so disrespectful god... I always wondered from which angle do I appear like an uncle-- I mean have you seen my face? I'm absolutely breathtaking--"
Namjoon chuckled some more, bringing his hand closer to the older's before quietly slipping his hand into his, intertwining them. Soekjin kept on talking about his apparently extremely handsome face, oblivious of how the younger pulled him across the busy road all the while listening intently.

"Jungkook, can I have a talk with you son? "
The addressee stopped dead on his track, which was merely a small distance between the kitchen and his room, the loaf of bread in his mouth hanging slightly.
"No." Jungkook's voice came muffled yet definitive.
Namjoon sighed, removing his glasses after setting down the newspaper.
"Come over here," he said pointing at the space beside him but the younger shook his head and tried to walk away before his father called his name out again, rather strictly.
Jungkook sighed, tongue poking the inside of his cheek as he begrudgingly strolled over to the living room and settled himself on a couch across his father.
"What is it." He asked blankly, the loaf now chewed down leaving bread crumbs around his mouth.
"I heard what happened between you and that boy... What was his name again? Taehyung?" The older creased his brows observing his son who now looked uncomfortable.
"Yeah, that's his name. What is it to you?" The younger spat not bothering to control his brattish behaviour.
Namjoon looked down, trying to control his nerves so as to not lash out on his brat of a son. He had to handle it maturely.
"Listen I know how you're feeling about this Jungkook, it's quite common for boys your age. You know you don't need to be stuck up on someone who doesn't need you in their life! You can always find somebody--"
" Whoa whoa whoa wait a second, hold up, " Jungkook interrupted his parental speech, " I don't need to be stuck up one someone who doesn't need me in their lives? You're one to talk Mr. Kim! "
Namjoon couldn't say another word as his brows drew in in confusion. Jungkook simply scoffed and rose to his feet.
"If that was the case dear father, you could have just let me know! I would have left you behind so long ago! "
"Jungkook what are you--"
"Because you're the first person who showed me he didn't need me in his life. You're no better Mr. Kim, but I still don't hate Taehyung as much as I hate you because that boy atleast loved me for a little while! " He yelled, stomping away to his room and slamming his door shut with a loud bang that reverberated through the empty walls of their delux appartment.
The dad had his gaze fixed on the spot his son was standing a while ago, tongue going to poke at the inside of his cheek, a family thing for the Jeons and Kims, as his mind reeled with the younger's words.
Well that didn't go as planned.

The peach coloured door cracked open, illuminating the dark room with a yellow beam of light that only spread as it was opened wider.
A tall figure lodged itself between the door and the wall, peering into the unusual darkness of the room.
"Taehyung?" The figure whispered, spotting the usual chirpy little boy now sitting on the sill of his tall window looking out of it with a blank gaze. If he heard his name, he didn't react.
Soekjin slipped in and closed the door, restoring the darkness in his room. Then he slowly traced his steps towards the sitting boy lost in his thoughts.
"Tae, baby?" He tried again and this time the young blonde looked up to acknowledge his father.
"Hey dad." He said blandly, trying to coax up a smile but evidently failed. His dad noticed it even through the darkness.
Jin settled across him, flicking on the lamp shade placed on his desk.
"Are you okay my baby?" He asked gently, eyes following his little actions.
Taehyung simply smiled but it didn't reach anywhere. He didn't lie to his father. He wasn't okay.
"You know you can talk to appa right?" Jin said softly, his heart crushing itself with the guilt of being responsible for all this. But he knew it would come sooner or later, this heartbreak. It was true the other boy was a player and the sooner it was over the better. Yet he couldn't find it in himself to see his little boy so hurt.
" I miss him appa," the young blonde sniffled, his beautiful face contorting into a pained grimace, " I miss Jungkook so much!"
"Oh come here," Jin extended his arm, which the latter took before throwing himself into his father's motherly embrace. Taehyung soaked in the familiar comfort and wailed out his miseries, just like all those times.
Jin didn't say anything, simply patted his son's blonde head and his back, snuggling his closer and whispering sweet nothings into his ears. Just like all those times.
"Appa, will I ever be able to forget h-him? I love h-him so much! " Taehyung cried into his broad shoulders, small hiccups leaving his lips in intervals.
"No tae, you won't forget him." His father told him softly yet with such honesty that surprised the boy.
"You won't completely forget about someone you loved, TaeTae. You simply learn to move on from them. Learn to love them from a distance, learn to find happiness by seeing them happy, learn to find your own happiness. "
Taehyung had relatively calmed down, and was now listening intently to his father's words.
"Is that how you moved on from Eomma, dad? " He asked looking into his father's distant gaze.
"Yeah..." He merely said smiling sadly to himself, " that's how. And I found my happiness in you son. Similarly, you'll find it in someone else. "
Taehyung hummed slowly, tracing his fingers on his father's shirt.
"What if I don't find someone else to be my source of happiness? " he then asked, looking up at his father with a look glazed in insecurity.
"For that... I have someone I'd like you to meet."
