BH 15
No guards, no sounds….
Gram has taught we well, I know their waiting. But without much for me to do, I open the car door. Stepping out my boots crunching the stones together. Just like clock work, Charles comes around a pillar. Dressed in a splendid white suit, open at the top showing off muscles that do nothing for me. My libido wants only one man, and he’s miles away. Shaking my head, I focus on Charles. The snake steps forward.
“Aw there she is” Holding his arms out, like he’s going to hug me.
“Where’s the disk Charles?” Keeping my body straight, and moving as little as possible.
“Why’s it always business with you?” His emitting body to close for my comfort.
“Charles dish now...please” Holding out my hand.
“Wow, Little Ray has learned manors.” Chuckling as his fingers twist around a ringlet.
“They have Matt, Charles. So I need the disk”
“Yes I no” Chuckling more, taking a step back. My eyes thin, he’s done something.
“How do you know?”
“Cause I’m the one who gave him to them.” A fiery burning feeling crawled up my spine, as the tingles in my eyes started to increase in speed. The realization that they didn’t take Matt, that he did. It sank in so fast I started to shake. Swallowing the tears back, as the thought of Matt being put in danger because of me. And this Asshole took him from. Biting my lip as I watched him turn around to face me.
“Cat got your tongue?” Laughing, as he could very well me falling apart. My nose sucked in air, pushing the openings apart. A light breeze pulling off the ocean, swooped past us.
“I promised Josie she could have you, but I think she’ll understand” Slipping my hand behind my back, pulling out the hand gun. Shooting off two rounds, as they smacked into his chest like red paintballs. Dropping to his knees, I walked over standing in front of him. Pushing threw his pockets, till I found what I was looking for.
“R…Ray..” Chocking on blood.
“Just die” Shooting another bullet into his head. Tears streaming down my face, as I turned around. Gun fire started blazing all around me, sliding into the car hitting the gas. The gates were closed, ramming the center pushing them just enough for the car to squeeze threw. Tears just kept coming, with no end in sight. My car phone rang.
“Call from Trish”
“Answer call” Wiping my eyes.
“Boss?” She sounded frantic.
“Yea” Sniffling.
“Ray what happened?”
“I shot him” Crying a little more.
“Shot who?”
“Charles, he gave them Matt” Banging on the wheel.
“Geez, you shot him. Like dead?”
“Yes dead, I doubt he’ll come back from a bullet to the head.”
“Fuck girl” The silence as I waited for someone to say something.
“You alright?”
“No, I’m blazed” seething mad. The pain was growing stronger, as my hear felt the tightening. I ended the call, not wanting to talk to anyone. This was the end, all or nothing. Return Matt or die trying. High power from the car, squealing in the same pain as me. We were one sharing our pain, her kicking the into another spiteful speed. Turning the radio on I listened to Usher you got it bad. Water pouring both from my eyes, and sky. The sudden down pour filling my mood with such sadness.
Crying is a weakness something I do in private. Like many another things. Rolling thunder crashes with the pain I feel. Bright lighting streaks across darkening clouds, making the gloom that much more prominent. The words of the song hitting every sad point in my life, rain drops trickle down the glass windows.
“You’re my girl, you’re my man” Sobbing like a baby. Another crack of lightening is followed by thunder, the two complimenting each other. It seriously didn’t help my mood as Fergie big girls don’t cry started playing next. Singing every word as if it told the story of my life.
“Da Da Da Da
The smell of your skin lingers on me now
You're probably on your flight back to your home town
I need some shelter of my own protection baby
To be with myself and center, clarity
Peace, Serenity
I hope you know, I hope you know
That this has nothing to do with you
It's personal, myself and I
We've got some straightenin' out to do
And I'm gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket
But I've got to get a move on with my life
It's time to be a big girl now
And big girls don't cry
Don't cry
Don't cry
Don't cry
The path that I'm walking
I must go alone
I must take the baby steps 'til I'm full grown, full grown
Fairytales don't always have a happy ending, do they?
And I foresee the dark ahead if I stay
Like the little school mate in the school yard
We'll play jacks and uno cards
I'll be your best friend and you'll be my Valentine
Yes you can hold my hand if you want to
'Cause I want to hold yours too
We'll be playmates and lovers and share our secret worlds
But it's time for me to go home
It's getting late, dark outside
I need to be with myself and center, clarity
Peace, Serenity”
My voice carrying like a real singer, full of emotion and love. It almost felt like I was singing to him, as much as I would of loved to I knew it wasn’t possible. My head hit’s the back of the seat, as words trail out. Running my fingers over my slightly damn hair.
“I hope you know, I hope you know. This has nothing to do with you” Sighing as I let some of the words fall short.
“Its time to be a big girl now” Sighing while my fingers decided a new station was a must.
~Dalton’s POV~
Breakfast was uneventful, as I soon got a call from Sandy. Her words harsh and full of demand. Telling me I needed to get my ass moving, cause Raydance was on the move. Sucking down the hot coffee, as I jumped back into the car. Sure enough Ray was in her car. Beating her to Charles was a must, Ron didn’t stress that enough. Parking a few blocks down, nearer to the ocean parking. Grabbing the sniper gun, walking the short distance to the house. Surprisingly enough there really wasn’t a lot of people out, probably to cold right now. Ron had mentioned a large oak, just out side the property where I could set up.
Frowning cause its been a long time since I’ve stationed myself in a tree for a mission. At least I wore the right shoes this time. In the height of the tree, I sat quietly. Positioning the gun, to give me the best shots. Making sure my back was firmly pushed up against the tree, for the recoil. A loud engine started up the street, and I already knew it was her. Putting the sight to my eyes, I saw my angel. Pushing the gate button driving in, her car rounding the gravel drive.
Stepping out she looked breath taking, the ocean playing with her hair as I caught a slight whiff of her perfume. My sight turned to the white suited man, which I was guessing is Charles. Ron started talking into my ear piece.
“That’s him”
“I gathered as much” Whispering back. Widening the scoop as I watched him play with her hair. Growling low, as he grinned. Her face changed dramatically. Those glossy lips started to quiver, while stunning gems watered.
What did he do to her….
Tight gripping claws grabbed at my heart, as I watched her start shaking. He turned to her mouthing words I lip read.
“Cat got your tongue” Chuckling. A tear slipped out, as she held her ground. Like a brave warrior she stood showing no fear, knowing she was not doing well. I missed her words as I watched a graceful arm pull out the gun. Knowing she wasn’t just going to wave it in his face like a toy, but in fact us it. Getting ready to cover her, I wouldn’t let anyone hit her. Two shots rang out, dropping him to the ground staining white fabric. Searching him she pulled out a small black disk. Tucking it into her pocket, before popping another bullet into his head. A shot fired at her, sent me looking for the culprit.
Taking out four men, as they came out of different places of the house. Her car kicking gravel as she busts threw the gates, smashing one clean off its hinges. Jumping out of the tree, needing to follow her. Tossing the gun strap over my shoulder, as I run as fast as my legs will carry me. Pulling the car door open, tossing the gun in, before kicking the car on. Peeling out almost hitting a small van. Tapping the laptop keyboard.
Her stunning face is smudged in tears, streaming down her perfecting. Its taking all my strength not to watch the laptop, while driving. Ron voices she headed to the highway, going to Texas. As I hit the main freeway, the rain as if knowing her feelings starts to release. Cracks of lightening spark the thunders attention. Her voice starts singing, beating on the wheel. More tears and pain flood over her. Pushing my car to its limit, I see a flash of green as she whips around a mini van.
Following the flickers of green, as the rain doesn’t make it any easier to keep up with her. Driving till it gets dark, I think she’s going to stop for the night. Only she fills her car, getting a coffee for herself. Pulling around to the other side of the gas station filling my ride there. I can see her threw the glass on the station, so close yet so far. Everything in me says to go get her, but I know I can’t. So I watch, like a stalker following it prey. My pump clicks, as I put it back on the handle. Closing the gas cap, looking back at her. She’s got her back pressed up against the side of the car.
Waiting for her to pull away, I see Ron and two other cars now pulling in. With a slight nod, I turn to see a dark blue or black car off to the far side of the parking lot. The windows are tinted, but I don’t need to see the person to know why there here. Her pump clicks, letting her place it back closing her cap. Opening the door, she gets in. The vibrations from the engine going ten fold under the canopy gas station. Slowly she pulls away, and I do the same. Hours later I seriously don’t know how she’s still awake. We had stopped one more time, and she used the restroom. Which gave me a chance to grab a coffee along an energy drink.
Sucking them both back to back, I felt the rush of sugar and caffeine knowing I would crash in a few hours. But right now I was higher then a damn kite. More hours of endless black pavement, my eyes grew bored looking at line…line…line..truck…truck…car..car….tree..tree….tree…God when are we going to get there?
The boarder of Texas had me shifting in my seat.
Thank god….singing in my head.
Pulling off the highway, she turned a few times. Slowing down, as she pulling into a dark parking lot. Waiting outside, I got a call from Ron.
“Hey, you still have eyes on her?” He asked.
“Sort of, she went into a parking garage”
“You waiting outside?”
“Yea” Watching the black hole.
“Good, just stay out of sight” He hung up, and I scoffed.
No shit Sherlock….. This isn’t my first rodeo.
Soon after entering she pulled back out, driving the opposite way of me. The rain had been left behind in a different state, though I couldn’t of told you which one. Driving down the road, slowly passing a few cars. She was actually going the speed limit. Which made think something was going on, she was still just stilling. The radio played low in the background.
Pulling into a park, she sighed killing the radio completely. Tapping her cars screen, it brought up a few choices. Clicking one, the car started to ring.
“Hello?” A male voice asked.
“I’m looking for the boss”
“Who’s this?” He growled, annoyed she had the number.
“The Driver” The call went silent.
“Your dead” He hissed.
“Don’t get fresh with me, I want your boss pip squeak” Snapping back at him. Grumbling another man answer the call.
“Where’s my disk girly?” His voice deeper, and full of hate.
“Where’s Matt?”
“Sitting next to me”
“I need to know he’s alive and okay”
“And I need my disk, but it can’t talk.” Growling.
“Look I have the disk, but I need to know Matt is good”
“Pull his ass over here” He said muffling his words, as he was probably turning around. A lot of static picked up before a terrified man talked.
“Ray…Ray is that you?”
“Matt? Are you okay. Did they hurt you?”
“Not really, help Ray please” His voice hoarse with a chock.
“Matt..Matt..” She cried out.
“There now where’s my disk” The boss growled.
“I’m at the Park off 23, don’t hurt him”
“You are in no position to give me orders”
“I mean it, if you hurt him I’ll destroy the fucking disk” Growling right back, her teeth barring at the screen.
“Then he’ll die” Hissing.
“You best not touch a hair on his head, or I’ll unleash hell.” Hissing back. She ended the call, her hands bashing the wheel.
“FUCK!” Leaning her head on the wheel, twisting her fingers around it. The car rang again, and she titled her head to see.
“Call from unknown” Sighing she tapped the screen.
“Raydance?” Her grandmother barked.
“Yes gram” Grumbling.
“Talk to me”
“What would you like me to talk about?” Still not removing her head.
“What happened?”
“I shot a man, that’s what happened.”
“Why? What went wrong?” Sounding more concerned.
“He fucking gave Matt to them, that bastard knew all about it. I just snapped. Gram….I…I’ve never..”
“I know baby, it will be alright.”
“Its not though, I saw his eyes when I took his life. I feel like a damn murder.”
