Authors Note + Chapter Seventeen
Hey guys! I want to apologize for the really crapy chapter that I posted the other night. It was super late, and I was tired, but I shouldn't have keep writing. The part about kissing is not supposed to be there. It was just part of my notes and I forgot to delete it. It's deleted now. Stupid me! Since I put that in there, I will tell you that it's coming soon.

I peel my eyelids back and groggyly sit up from my uncomfortable position on the bed. My hands were twisted under my body and I'm wearing nothing but a button up shirt, my underwear and bra are stiff from drying overnight. At first, I'm freaking out, but the memories of the past few days come flooding back all at once.
I was attacked by a pack of totally unreasonable werewolves, and for some reason, a creepy woman, who happens to be part of that pack, wants to kill me. Sebastian Grey, who is the Alpha in his own pack, rescued me, and now I'm sleeping in the room across the hall from his, wearing his shirt. I like this shirt. It's my favorite color, and it still smells strongly of his succulent cologne. What is wrong with me? I remember last night, the intimate moment we'd shared in Trinity's Charger. He couldn't keep his eyes off me, and I'll admit, I really liked it. Why? Why am I thinking this way? It's Bash, he's making me this way.
Hoping carefully off the bed, I make my way towards the bathroom. I flip the light switch and step inside, closing the door behind me. Examining my disheveled state, I rub the circles under my eyes, cursing them. I know I shouldn't, but I don't want Bash to see me like this, in all my morning glory. My hair desperately needs to be brushed and I'm sure my breath smells delicious. God I'm a mess. That's when I spot the shower.
I turn the water all the way up and unbutton the shirt, throwing it to the ground. Steam fills the bathroom, curling my black hair with the humidity. I step in the giant shower and sigh in happiness as the water poring from the shower head massages my body. I grab the rose scented body wash and furiously scrub my body, washing away the stress of last night. Humming the notes to Jealous by Nick Jonas, I let the water soak into my skin. Watching the suds swirl down the drain, I finish showering and step out.
The door is slightly ajar even though I remember shutting it. Bash must've come to check on me... while I was in the shower. I wrap a towel around my body and ransack the drawers in the bathroom, looking for a brush. I guess no one's inhabited this room for a while because the only thing I can find is a stale pretzel.
Sighing I walk out of the bathroom and leave the room, quietly making my way towards Bash's room. His familiar scent hits me as soon as I enter, and it get stronger when I pass the bathroom. I wonder if he has a brush. He should because no man can keep their hair that perfect. I search the drawers, but come up empty handed. Okay, next thing on my list: clothes. He should have something close to my size, right? As soon as I get to his closet, I realize he's not going to have anything that fits me. Fixing the towel tighter around my body, I sift through the racks of clothes, searching for the longest shirt I can find.
A throat is cleared, and I whip around, expecting to find Sebastian. Instead, a girl about fifteen and around Trinity's age stands there, her arms crossed and eyebrows raised. Short brown spiral curls frame her face, full lips stretch across her face in a tight, knowing line, chocolate skin glows in the morning light, and amber eyes glint with curiosity. She has a certain innocence about her, and I turn bright red at being found in the Alpha's room with nothing but a towel.
"The Alpha brought a human home last night I see," she says, her musical voice ringing throughout the room. She thinks I slept with Bash. My eyes go wide as I stumble to explain.
"Oh no, it's not like that. I was attacked and he brought me here for... for protection. I was just looking for something to wear, and I just...Trinity's asleep."
"Ah, you must be Danielle Gardener," she knows my last name. No one knows my last name.
"Uh, you know me?"
"Of course. Alpha Sebastian briefed the pack on you before we went to save you."
Wow. Bash knows more about me than I do. Who is this guy? Some FBI agent? It's like he looked me up or something.
"I had that situation under control, you know," I frump. I was fine, right? I didn't need Bash to rescue me.
"Says the girl who was being choked by an insane psychopath," the girl laughs," I'm Sunny, by the way."
"Danielle, but you already knew that."
Sunny takes my arm and leads me out of Bash's room. She guides me down the hall aways until we reach an unfamiliar door. I'm guessing it's her room.
"I think I might have some clothes that fit you, but I'm not sure. You're so small!"
I sigh," Thanks. I really appreciate it."
Sunny's room is purple. It's quite overwhelming because everything is purple. They're aren't any diverse colors... Just purple. I really hope her clothes aren't like her room. My fears fade away as she brings out dark wash skinny jeans and a long, blue sweater.
"Hey Sunny?" I ask, a little embarrassed.
"Hm?"
"Uh, can I borrow some... some underwear, too... Please?" She looks at me weird before busting out with laughter. I glare at her to cover up my blush. She turns away, still laughing at me, to dig through her underwear drawer and pull out cupcake printed boy shorts. I snatch them angrily out of her hands and storm off to my room to get changed.

I'm downstairs now, looking for Bash. I think there's some things we need to talk about, like how long I'm going to be here and why someone is trying to kill me. I know he knows, it's plainly obvious, but he doesn't seem to want to tell me. I'm going to find out though, one way or another.
I make my way through an unfamiliar hallway, peeking into all the rooms. Coming to a locked door, I can hear raised voices. Just as I go to place my ear on the thick wood, the door is thrown open, making me jump back to avoid getting hit. What happens next, I didn't think would ever come in to play with me here.
The brunette with red eyes, the one who tried to kill me, comes strolling out of the room, fully clothed this time, a devious smile playing on her lips. I give a yelp of surprise and back up into the wall opposite of the room. Bash emerges next, and upon seeing me his eyes widen.
"Ah Danielle, darling," her icy voice chills me to the bone. She reaches out a hand to touch my face and I cringe farther back into the wall. Bash steps in front of me so fast that I don't even see it.
"She is very pale, is she not?" The brunette addresses him, and then to me," Aren't you from California?"
She has a French accent, making her all the more intimidating. I glare at her. She throws back her head dramatically to laugh at the fact that I'm not tan and I'm from California.
Some people have fair skin. It's just the way the world works, lady.
"I think you should go, Genevieve," Bash growls out, still hiding me behind him. I peek over his shoulder on my tippy toes to see Genevieve flick her slick brown hair away from her face.
"You don't want me to stick around, brother?" She says, grinning at me.
Whoa, whoa wait... Did she just say brother?

Hey guys! Sorry for the long wait on this update. I've had to get up at 5:30 every morning to go to practice, so I've been kind of tired. I'll start writing right after I publish this so that I can get another chapter posted before I go on vacation. I won't have wifi so it'll be at least a week. Byez and love ya!
