Noctis

I am at the edge of the Dark Shadow Pack. I hope Tobias is nearby because I don't have a phone to call him from. I shift back to my human form and step across the territory line. I don't see any guards around which is odd. I continue to walk deeper into the territory, being cautious of my surroundings. I have a bad feeling about this. I see the top of the pack house that tells me I am close and I can hear fighting noises coming from that direction. I then smell it.

Rogues.

I can smell again! Oh thank goddess! I run in the direction of the fight and see a lot of rogues fighting the Dark Shadow Pack. The rogues outnumber the pack and I see a group of five sneaking up on the pack house in their wolves. I run over to them, stepping quietly. I tackle one and we break through the door. I hear a few screams of children and I am determined to protect them. I elongate my claws and claw out the wolves throat. I scramble to my feet and prepare to fight the other two rogues. I take off my jacket so I am left in my sports bra and jeans. I carefully put my baby, AKA my leather jacket, on to the couch beside me. A wolf then jumps at me and I step to the side as another bites into my arm. I smirk at him making his wolf face contort into confusion. Then it hits him. He lets go of my arm and whimpers loudly, his mouth burning from my blood.

The other three wolves look at me, terrified. I snap one wolf's neck and kick the one who bit me hard, making a hole in the wall. The last two tries to run but I grab their tails, yanking them back. I claw out both of their throats and then walk over to the one who bit me and snapped his neck. I follow the heartbeats of the pack members to a door. I knock and hear screams of children from inside.

"Hey, I'm Noctis Kilo. Is everyone alright in there?" I speak to the locked door.

I hear shuffling then the the door unlocks, opening a crack. A lady in her sixties peaks her head through. "Who did you say you were?"

"Noctis Kilo?"

"Really?" She looks behind me and I turn around to see a picture of my platoon on the wall.

I grab the picture and look at it, tears threaten to spill, but I keep them in. I hand her the picture so she will believe me. She looks from me to the picture a few time and then she smiles.

"It's a pleasure to meet you," she holds out her hand.

I shake it, "You too..."

"Tally," she smiles.

"Nice to meet you as well Tally. I should go see if they need more help out there. Is everyone okay in here?"

"Yes we are fine. Be careful."

"Always am," I then walk out to the front door of the pack house.

I see the fight is still long from over so I jump right in, fighting off wolves left and right. I spit Tobias' wolf and he is losing a fight I run quickly over to him and snap the other wolf's neck. Tobias gets up and looks to me. He nods in thanks and gets back to fighting. A wolf bits my leg and then another bits my arm that wasn't bitten yet. I fall to the ground in pain, but I know both wolves will be in worse pain in a second. They both let go and start whimpering. They bad thing is that I am bleeding quite a bit.

You have to shift Noctis.

Okay Amara.

I shift quickly into my wolf and I notice a few heads look my way. Not many people get to see white wolves in their lifetime. I start fighting and soon we are beating the rogues. The rogues start running and I kill as many as I can before they cross the boarder. I walk back in my wolf form and walk up to Tobias who is now in his human form.

"You really weren't kidding when you said you were a white wolf, were you?" Tobias grins and he runs a hand through my fur. His hand hits a spot that hand my blood on it and removes his hand quickly. "What was that?"

I just shake my head slightly to let him know I will tell him later. I walks into the trees and I follow him. He takes me to a stream where I wash off the blood that is staining my fur. When I walk back out of the water, I stretch out my legs and I can feel my wounds closing. Once they are done I shift back and stretch my back out.

"So, do you want to tell my why it hurt when I touched you?"

I sigh, "My blood has silver in it due to my injuries from that bomb. When a wolf touches my blood, it burns like silver does."

Tobias just stands there, unsure of what to say. His mouth opens and closes like a fish and I roll my eyes. I start walking back towards the pack house as Tobias is still standing there.

"Are you coming?" I shout to him without breaking my stride.

He seems to snap out of it and jogs to catch up with me, "That is amazing. Did you get the answers you needed from the Royal Pack?"

"Yes, I did. Since I put other's lives before my own and I should have died in that bomb, but I didn't I have been blessed by the Moon Goddess. Some have gained a power from this happening that has to do with the way they were supposed to die. That is how I have the silver blood or whatever you want to call it," I explain.

"Wow, that is amazing. Why did you come back here?"

"I want to talk with Sergeant Major Jones about returning to the military since I am fully heeled."

"Well then, follow me," Tobias smiles and takes my hand.

He practically runs back to the pack house as he drags me along. When we get in the front door everyone jumps, afraid the rogue came back. I guess it makes sense since I smell like a rogue. The blood and bodies have been removed from from the house and everyone seems to just be staring at us. That is until Tally runs up and embraces me in a tight hug.

"Thank you so much! Without you, who knows how many us us would have died."

"It was no problem really. Just lucky timing I guess."

She lets go and a man walks up to me. I can tell he is the alpha of this pack. He sticks out a hand and I shake it.

"It's nice to finally meet the famous Noctis Kilo. I didn't know that you were a white wolf."

"It's nice to meet you are well Alpha and I didn't know I was a white wolf until a few weeks ago."

"I have never met a white wolf lets alone one who has earned it. Congratulations."

"Thanks.

Sergeant Major walks up to me, "I am guessing you didn't just come here to help us fight."

"No, I came here to ask for you to help me get back into the army."

"After what I saw today, I am sure you are more than capable to go back. I will sign your papers in the morning. Until then, I bet Tobias will let you stay at his house."

I look to Tobias and he nods, "Thank you guys."

The room starts to clear out until it is just Tobias, his wife Talia and his daughter Gwen. Gwen runs up to me and hugs my waist.

"Thank you so much for helping us and keeping daddy safe," she squeezes me tight.

I chuckle and hug her back, "It was my pleasure. How are you holding up?"

"I'm good. I'm tired, mommy. Can we go home?" Gwen asks Talia.

"Of course baby, let's go."

We all walk out of the pack house and into the woods. After about five minute we walk into a small clearing with a cute log cabin. The family leads me inside and there is a kitchen to the left with a table and chairs. Then there is a living room on the right with a TV. A hallway leads to a bathroom and a guest room then there are stairs up to the second floor with another bathroom and two bedrooms. It is a really nice house. They show me to my room and I then realize I forgot my leather jacket. My baby is all alone with strangers in that pack house. If anyone takes it, they will have hell to pay.

I go to the front door and tell everyone I will be back soon. I walk towards the pack house and in the front door. It seems a lot of the pack members are resting or visiting injured members in the infirmary. I look at the couch and my leather jacket isn't there. Fuck. I walk to the kitchen and see a little boy sitting at the counter. He turns his head my way, fear in his eyes. I guess he thinks I am one of those rogues that attacked earlier.

"P-please d-don't h-hurt m-me," he stutters.

"Don't worry, I am one of the good guys. I am staying with Tobias and I am just looking for my jacket that I left in the living room," I explain.

"Why do you smell like rogue?"

"Because I am technically a rogue. I am just not a mean one."

"Okay," his emotions do a 180 and he is now happy. "What does this jacket look like?"

"It is black and leather. Have you seen it?"

He taps his chin like he is thinking hard, "I think Mandy picked it up. She thought it was a rogues and wanted a mo-momen-o? Something like that because she managed to kill one rogue," the kid rolls his eyes, "She is so annoying."

I chuckle, "Want to help me find Mandy?"

"Yes! Then you can kick her butt!"

I laugh, "What's your name kid?"

"I am not a kid," he pouts, "My name is Noah. What's your name?"

"My name is Noctis," I smile.

"Like from the stories?"

"I think so. I was in the army," I tell him.

"Wow, I always wanted to meet you!" He squeals making me laugh.

"Well, now you are going to help me find that Mandy who stole my jacket."

"Yay! Let's go," he says the last part in a serious tone and with a serious face.

He takes my hand and leads me through the first floor of the house, looking in every room we come across. We then head out back to see a group of people all standing around, listening to a girl with a hug pitched voice talk.

"And that would be Maddy. Goddess, her voice makes me want to run in the other direction," Noah tells me and I chuckle.

"I will be right back Noah, okay?"

"But I want to come," he whines.

"Fine, but be careful."

"I will," he grins widely.

We both walk over to the group and they don't even acknowledge us. I decide to listen to her bogus story for a bit.

"So I saw this rogue enter the pack house so I followed. They shifted to human and left the leather jacket on the couch. I attacked her and took her down so easily. By the time I got back out, we won the fight."

"Why did we find five wolves dead then and no one in human form?" A guys asks.

"Well...that's because...."

"That's because she didn't take down any rogues," I answer.

"Who are you and why are you here rogue?" A guy sneers.

"I'm Noctis Kilo and that is my jacket. I took it off when I fought and killed those five wolves so they wouldn't get to the elderly and children in the safe room."

Everyone looks at me and then to Maddy. They try to figure out who is lying.

"That checks out. Maddy wouldn't be able to kill a wolf," a girl speaks up and everyone else agrees.

"You bitch, how da..." I cut Maddy off.

"Watch your language, if you haven't noticed, Noah is here and he doesn't need to hear that kind of language."

She huffs and goes to walk away before I stop her, "I want my jacket back, now," I warn.

"I will challenge you for it," Maddy smirks and everyone around us look at her like she is nuts.

One guy speaks up, "You do know that this is Noctis Kilo, as in the Lieutenant that lead the special ops platoon?"

"I don't care, she doesn't look like much."

"I should warn you, Maddy, not only am I a highly skilled fighter, but I am also the daughter of an Alpha."

People gasp and she looks at me like I'm stupid, "There is no way you are the daughter of an Alpha. Fight me for the jacket, unless you are too chicken."

"Okay, but don't say I didn't warn you."

She takes off my jacket and hands it to a boy, "Keep this safe for me, will ya Jay."

The boy rolls his eyes and takes the jacket. I take off the shirt that Tobias let me borrow and hand it to Noah. Everyone steps back an I get into a fighting stance.

Maddy swings quickly and aims for my jaw. I dodge her ouch and land one on her stomach. She stumbles, but stays on her feet. I am currently holding myself back from tearing her apart. I'm not used to training with someone else who isn't Tobias or Xander. Maddy tries to tackle me so I side step. She is getting angry and she ends up shifting into her small blonde brown wolf. I get back in my fighting stance and everyone looks surprised that I am not shifting.

"Maddy says she wants you to shift," Jay tells me.

"Why?" I wonder.

"Because, and I quote, 'I want to see how weak and pathetic your wolf is'"

"Really? Your are insulting me even though your are losing so far," I roll my eyes. "If you really want me to shift, then fine."

I shift into my white wolf and everyone gasps. I can see the regret in Maddy's eyes and I smirk. She jumps at me first and I roll to the left. I give her a minor scratch on her arm causing her to growl. She snaps at my arm and I growl in warning since I can't mindlink her. You really don't want to do that Maddy. She doesn't listen to my warning though and latches her jaws onto my shoulder. I just stare at her as she holds on. She lets go quickly and starts whining and whimpering.

I shift back and said, "I tried to warn you."

She can't shift back since she is trying heal herself. It will take a few minutes. The group around us are looking at me confused and a little scared.

"What the hell did you do to her?" Jay asks as he hands me my jacket.

"Thanks and I didn't do anything to her, she did that to herself. I tried to warn her, but she has too big of an ego to listen."

"So, it was true what other members were saying? There was a white wolf helping us out?" A girls asks.

"Yup, that would be me. I should probably get back or else Tobias will come looking," I tell the group.

I hate people who have big egos.
