(play music)After waking up from that strange dream I decided to get ready for the day and go to school. I've lived in japan for most of my life. I got washed up and looked at my self in the mirror. My hair was short and brown with an orange streak on one side and my eye color was an orange with a little bit of red in them. After washing up I got dressed in my school uniform which was what most high school uniforms in Japan look like a tan jacket with a white shirt underneath but I wear a light blue shirt underneath my jacket and I have my jacket open, I have a red and orange  tie on , blue jeans and black and white shoes and white socks.After I got dressed I went down stairs, had breakfast and I put on my bag. It was a dark brown messenger bag with gold clips. After I got my bag I headed to school. On my way to school I see my best bud Erick. He is my around the same height as me and we are the same age, we are both 15 years old and we are both five foot tall but he had five inches while I have six inches. Erick has long black hair, his eyes are a silver like color and he was wearing his school uniform as well but his jacket was buttoned up and he had a silver tie on to match his eyes and he had his bag as well it was similar to mine but it was a black, vinyl and had silver clips. We got both of our bags at a store in the mall at a buy one get one free sale, his was the free one.  "Hey Stephen what up?" Erick asked as I walked up to him and we did our personal fist bump, which was the side of his arm with his knuckles hitting the same part of my body. "Nothing much dude, just had a weird dream last night." I replied as we started walking to school together. "Which one this time? The one with the dragon, the one with the lion or the one with the big mysterious figure with wings?" Erick asked as he put his bag behind his back holding on to the handles, I never understood why he did that. "This one was different." "How so? Was there a girl in it that you kissed?" "No Erick this time I saw a different giant figure, bigger that the first one and I also heard voices." I said. "Ok dude you really got to stop staying up at night watch anime's they will mess with your dreams sometimes." Erick said. "Ok mom" I said to Erick in a sarcastic voice. "Its weird though I have had four dreams so far and they were all on a Thursday night." I said.

"Well don't think about it to hard, your goanna need all little the brain power you have for today." Erick said. "Why?" I asked. "Well we have a test today and then we just got to make it through next week and then school is over." Erick said. "Yea you are right but you do know that since we don't have any test next week today is technically our last day of school." I said as we walked into school and we walked to our lockers. "Oh yea you are right, well see you later!" Erick said as the first bell rang and he headed to his first class and so did I. 

I took my seat and waited for the teacher while ever one else in the class went into there own little groups. I just sat in my desk in the back of the class looking out the window. I didn't want to sit in the back near the window because I didn't want people to think I was trying to be like an anime character but it was the only seat open on the first day and I just dealt with it. The day just went on like a regular day for me, get done with the boring classes make it to lunch to rest and then make it through the rest of the day. I went out side to meet Erick at our usual spot for lunch. Ever since middle school Erick and I always had the same schedule from lunch after. In tenth grade after lunch Erick and I had gym, art,computer lab,a free period and math last while language, math, history and economics were my periods before lunch. "Hey dude ready for that math final?" I asked Erick. "mmhm" he said as he nodded his head because he had some ramen in his mouth. I took out my sandwich and started eating. 

After lunch we started studying for the test. We still had sometime left and we also had two periods where we could do more studying so we decided to relax for a few more minutes. I laid down and looked at the school and I saw something but as soon as I blinked it was gone. We then heard the bell and Erick and I headed to gym. Erick and I arrived at the gym and we didn't change because we already brought our gym clothing home. "Alright class today we will be playing dodge ball" the gym teacher said. He then assigned team captains but there was one problem, Erick, me and all the other kids who prefer playing video games, watching anime's or anything else that doesn't involve them going out side we were all a team while the kids who eat,  breath, eat and sleep working out or those who are really strong bullies they were one team. "This is not goanna go so well" I said looking at our team. When we started the opposing team got most of the balls my team only got two and Erick and I had one each. Everyone on my team besides me, Erick and some kids who probably either have video games involving motion or a virtual reality head set were still in.  

"Try dodging this one Studpin." said Jason a blond haired jerk and he always was a jerk to me,he was also really strong. As soon as he threw the ball I noticed that some girls on his team that were out were cheering me on and then I realized something. "They got out on purpose so they could distract me!" was what ran through me head but I did something I never thought I could do. I caught the ball that Jason threw at me and I threw it right back at him with as much power I had. After I got him out half of my team came back in because he got them out. In the end my team won.

"How did you do that?" Erick asked me on our way to art. "To be honest I have no idea what happened or how I did that." I said as we walked into art. "To be honest I really don't know." I said as we sat down in our seats. "Alright class today just draw what first comes to your mind, as long as it is age appropriate and non violent." The art teacher said. I just kept on thinking about what happened in gym, my dreams and what ever I saw on the school I didn't even know I was drawing. "Whoa dude, that looks really cool." Erick said. "Huh- What looks cool?" I asked. "Your drawing, I thought you were terrible at drawing, I don't even know what to draw yet." Erick said. I then looked at my paper and I drew some sort of dragon symbol.(A/N: The book cover)I then looked on Erick paper and saw he did draw something. "Well what about that?" I asked him. "What" he replied. "I didn't draw this." he said. On Erick paper was some sort of lion symbol wearing a crown. "Weird." I said.

After art Erick and I then went to the computer lab and had another class were we could do anything we wanted as long as it wasn't disruptive. "You going on Wattpad?" Erick asked me. "Sure am, what about you? I think there are some people who want you to maybe continue on your stories" I said. "Yea maybe." Erick said. I logged in on Wattpad and started working on some new chapters in my books. Erick just played some games and occasionally talked to some of our friends that are also on Wattpad. After computer lab Erick and I headed to the library and started studying for our math final. In the library I took out the picture I drew earlier to look at it more. I then decided to rest my head for a little bit and I saw something strange. It was some sort of cave and there appeared to be some sort of animals in the cave, to be precise two, but they were bigger than average animal's. "Stephen wake up dude." Erick said to me as I then woke up. "Right lets go to math." I said.

We walked into the room took our seats next to each other and saw that the teacher wasn't there meaning we had sometime to kill so I asked Erick some questions. "Would you rather be in Hyrule or Skyworld?" I asked. "Well it depends." Erick said. "Depends on what?" I asked. "Will I be Ace or you?" Erick asked. "Who ever you want to be." I said. "Hyrule then." Erick said. Ace is the name of a character Erick made in a Wattpad book him and I started writing together but now it's just me who is doing it. "Alright everyone take your seats it is time to take your math finals." Our teacher said as he walked into the class. Everyone sat down and there were a few groans, some ughs and one student went yay. I just took out my pencil and calculator and got started on the test.

I finished around near the end of class while Erick was still working on his. Erick finished his right before the final bell of the day rang. Erick and then walked to our locker and then left school. "Hey Studpin."Jason said to me as he walked up to me with his to other friends. His little group reminded me of an even dumber version of the three stogies. "What do you want Jason?" I asked turning around to face him. "I want to know how you pulled off that little stunt in gym today, and I know that you are a big wimp who always said no so how did you do it?" Jason asked. "In all honesty I have no idea how I did it maybe you aren't as strong as you think you are." I said. "What ever I don't care but you are so lucky that I have summer school if not you will be dead." Jason said walking away. Erick and I started walking home and I then realized that I could say something at him and not get hurt during the summer. "SEE YEA AFTER SUMMER JERKSON!" I yelled and instantly regretted it.  I forgot because he doesn't have any tests next week he doesn't have to go to school and summer school starts the week after next week. "THATS IT YOUR DEAD!!"Jason yelled as him and his friends chased after Erick and I but we started running. "Wait why am I running?" Erick asked me. "Because your my accomplice and also if he kills me he is goanna have to kill you because you will be a witness." I said. "Quick hide in the alley way." I said as we made a right turn. "Great you trapped us." Erick said pointing to a fence that was in the way. "We can't climb it our uniforms will be ruined." I said. "I have an idea." Erick said. "What is it?" I asked. "Just get some boxes." Erick said.

Erick and I then made a set of box stairs to get up. "Wait now Jason and his buddies will be able to get us." Erick said. "I don't think so." I said kicking the fence making the boxes fall over and flattening some in the process. After we walked out of the alley way I saw Jason and his friends looking for us. "Lets sneak into the mall and find a place to hid inside." Erick said. "Hey dude let me come with some idea's ok." I said. "No your the one who decided to make the kid named after a horror movie character who dresses up like said movie character every year and who has the nickname in hockey Jason the goal slicer." Erick said. "Good point." I said as we walked into the mall. My stomach then growled. "Hey lets get something to eat ok?" I asked. "Sure thing dude." Erick said. We then arrived at the food court and Erick got two burgers. "Hey I just texted my parents and told them that you and I are hanging out at the mall and I will be home later tonight and I asked them if it would be ok if you slept over. " I told Erick. "Well what did they say?" Erick asked. "As long as it is ok with your parents." I said. "Ok then." Erick said as he took out his phone and sent his parents a text. "Yea they said it is fine." Erick said. "Ok. Lets stay in the mall for a while my parents told me that we could arrive home at any time before midnight and I will tell them its ok with your parents." I said. "Ok oh yea tell them that my mom is goanna drop off my sleeping bag and a change of clothing." Erick said as we threw out our trays. "Sure thing dude." I said. 

We were walking around the mall just two best buds since fourth grade. Erick kept on trying to get a girlfriend. "Hey dude why do you always do this, you know your goanna be told no." I said. "Well what don't you even try?" Erick asked. "I don't really know. I just think that most girls are the same. I want some one that isn't like most girls. Some one more adventurous you know?" I asked. "You are in the wrong world for that my friend. If you have some sort of dimensional portal device thing take us to a dimension were you and I are 'or something. Like in your Kid Icarus: A new Uprising book." Erick said and him and just started laughing. After I calmed down a little I stared looking around I then looked down to the second floor and saw Jason and he saw me. "Dude we need to run." I said. "Why?" Erick asked and looked at Jason and hi friends heading towards the elevator. "Ohh that's why." Erick said and we started running again.

Erick and I then lost them for a bit. "We need a place to hide." Erick said. "What about in there?" I asked pointing to an antique shop. "It will do." Erick said. We then ran into the store and hid.  "Check every window." Jason said. Him and his friends were looking in every store window and decided to leave. "You can come out now they left." A voice said. "Is this your shop?" Erick asked the man behind the desk. He an old man with a long white beard and his eyes were closed. "Yes it is call m Shopen." Shopen said. "Well thank you for letting us hid in here Shopen." I said. "No thank you for coming in here, I haven't had a customer in a long time, take any thing that you might find interesting." Shopen said.

Erick and I were looking around and I saw something in a glass case, two disks the size of quarters. "What are those?" I asked pointing to the discs. "Well what don't you take a look." Shopen said taking out the case the disks were in. The disk on the left was orange and gold with a small red jem underneath some sort of animal head while the on the right was gold and blue with small purple jem underneath an animal head. "Go ahead pick which ever one you like." Shopen said. Erick and looked at each other "Ok then I will take this one." Erick said picking the one on the right. "Then I will take this one." I said picking up the one on the left. "Thank you and have a marvelous adventure Erick and Stephen." Shopen said as we walked out the door and we headed home.

"Wait did you tell him our names?" I asked. "No did you?" Erick asked back. "Strange." I said. When we got back to my house it was 10:59 and my parents and brother were asleep. "Common lets go down stairs." I said. "Ok I'm goanna go to sleep when we get down stairs after I change of course." Erick said yawing. "Me too." I said back. We put our pajamas on in separate rooms and went to sleep.

The next morning.

"Morning dude." Erick and I said at the same time. When we got up I noticed something. "Erick look at the disks." I said. "What about them?" Erick asked trying to wake up a bit more. "Their bigger!" I said. "Wait what?!?" Erick asked. "Look for your self." I said throwing him his. They grew to the size of hokey pucks. "Stephen look." Erick said. "What? What is it?" I asked. "The symbol on this looks just like the one I drew yesterday." Erick said pulling out his drawing and compared the two. "Your right same with mine. The same dragon and there is also some sort of gear design on them." I said. "Yea I think we should give these back to Shopen." Erick said. "Agreed." After breakfast and we get dressed. Erick and I dressed I what we usually wear when we don't have school. I wore my favorite navy blue hoodie with a blank red shirt underneath, blue jeans white socks and black and white shoes. Erick wore his purple pullover hoodie, grey pants and black fingerless gloves for some reason. "Oh hey dude here you go." Erick said tossing me a small little box. "What is this?" I asked opening it up. "I got you these when I got my gloves so you and I both have something from a buy one get one free sale. Inside the box were two white fingerless gloves that look like I wrapped tape or something around them. "Dude these are awesome. Thanks" I said putting them on and we did our fist bump. 

After we ate breakfast Erick and I headed out to the mall. When we go there Jason and some other kids in his little gang were waiting for us. "It's beat down time." Jason said "GET THEM!!!" after that Jason and his gang with three extra people started running after us. "RUN" I said. "I'm right here you know." Erick said. "Just run." I said. While we were running Erick and I got on two bikes we fund near a recycling bin. "Talk about re-cycling." I said as we were losing them a lot faster. "Really? Why did you do that?" Erick asked. "Hey just trying to put some humor on the situation.

Erick and I then made it up hill and Jason and his friends were right behind us. "Don't stop." Erick said. "Believing hold onto that feeling yea." I sung. "What?" Erick asked. As Erick and I started going down hill the disks started glowing. "What happening?" I asked. "I don't know." Erick replied. Erick and I then took the disks out for some reason and they shot some sort of lasers. After that a portal opened. "HOLD ON TIGHT!" I said as Erick and I entered the portal with out the bikes. We then arrived in some sort of cave"Where are we?" Erick asked. "Away from Jason and in a cave that's for sure." I said

A/N: Hey guys Stephen here and this is my second book with a story. So yea I hope you guys enjoy this story and I have to say this is pretty long for only the first chapter with story plot. Tell me what you think and also references will be easier to see because this takes place in more modern time. Tell your friends or family about me and also if your name is Jason I'm sorry if the character Jason offended you but don't worry he is only in this chapter and he will be in the last chapter of the book.
