Xylo x Kayla (OriginZ)
(I'm falling into this shipping. XD)
Kay slid off Eldamore's back silently. The soldier on duty nodded to her and she tied Eldamore up nearby. She slipped inside the Save Haven quietly. Of course, it wasn't quiet for long.
"Kay!" The Colonel called out. "Glad to see you alive and well."
Kay smiled. "Hello, Colonel. Yes, no limbs lost to walkers. House hasn't been broken into for a while. In all honesty, pretty good for the conditions."
"Very true. Things are getting worse, that's for sure."
"So, how's the Save Haven?" Kay asked.
"We're doing alright. Nick's healing well, we've been holding the hordes off best we can, and we're raking in supplies thanks to Bryan."
"And Xylo?" Kay asked.
The Colonel sighed. "I don't know why you're so interested in him."
Kay tried to ignore her reddening cheeks. "He's just new and I don't want anyone to get hurt, especially Xylo. He has a reputation, you know."
"I guess that is true. What with that Devin guy he keeps talking about and how he'll break his leg; yeah, he has a reputation. He's been fine, I guess. He's not around very often though. He keeps going off on his own, sometimes for hours at a time. I'm starting to think-"
Kay didn't let the Colonel finish. She dashed off down a long corridor to the bathroom and threw the door open.
Xylo was doubled over the toilet, groaning. His vest and collared shirt were splattered with vomit and something that looked suspiciously like blood. His Rolex watch, tie, and cuff links were all scattered on the floor. His hair was a mess.
Kay knelt down next to him. "Xylo, Xylo, breathe, breathe."
Xylo took a chance and looked away from the toilet and at her. He wiped his mouth and tried for a weak smile. It wasn't his most dazzling.
"Hey, Kayla. Sorry, you just caught me in the middle of my business."
"Xylo, did you eat some of that stupid meat again? This is why you keep getting sick! And I'm getting sick of you getting sick."
Xylo chuckled. "Sick of me getting sick, huh? Don't worry, it's just a bug. It'll pass. It always does."
Kay grabbed his hand and clasped in hers. "Don't you lie to me, Xylo Phoney. You are not fine, and I know it. Just please, be honest."
Xylo sighed. "I can't keep anything from you. Don't tell the others. Please? I don't want them thinking I'm infected or something."
Kay smiled and hugged him. "Don't worry, you stupid actor. You're good in my book. That's a promise."
