Chapter 2 - Visions and Newscasts (Anxiety/Logic)

*I know it's shorter, but you guys wanted me to post. So please appreciate that I'm working through the pain of getting 5 teeth pulled at one time to post for you guys. Happy Reading!*

(Anxiety's PoV)

My eyes slowly opened into what I could only describe as a dazed world. Shafts of yellow light filtered through my lids and into my eyes. Blinking in the hazy light revealed I was laying in a clear glass case with gold at the base where I lay. Others were all seated around me on what appeared to be, the forest floor.

"Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten." Stitch started through a shower of overflowing tears. "I can't believe she's gone." he whispered to himself. Carl Fredrickson, the man from the Disney film Up stood up to put a hand on Stitch's shoulder. He spoke up in Logic's voice.

"She made us all find the people we care for off screen. Too bad she had an enemy that was gifted in the art of witchcraft and poison making." Alice was hugging Robin Hood and the two cried out in voices similar to the kids always following Morality. Mike Wazowski was entwined around them, sobbing like Morality. Peter Pan was trying to smile through his own set of tears. Mowgli from the Jungle Book kept saying the first half of a misleading compliment but for some reason he wasn't capable of saying the second half. Hades spoke up in the voice of Stewie, but the manner he spoke in was different. He wasn't condescending. That was a first. In the mindspace and the real world, he was always just as bad as I can be.

"Anybody need tissues? I've got some over here." he sniffled and handed a couple over to Goofy, who wasn't acting anything like his namesake. Instead, he was at the edge of the clearing, looking out into the trees. I pushed my hand out into the top of the clear box. It did nothing to help me get free but it did tell me that not only were my nails slimmer than usual, but my entire body was entrapped in a tight and scratchy dress. It was a deep red color with little white lace around the edges of the sleeves and at the top of the bodice. I felt myself scream in fright and then I was no longer enclosed in the box. Hands had opened it and I had fallen from to the ground in my worry and confusion. A black hand reached up to mine. It was covered in fur and I looked into the kind face of Mickey Mouse. He smiled softly down at me, before he asked.

"Are you alright, your highness?"

(Logic's PoV)

I was out in the mindspace shopping for more supplies to live on in the common building. Morality had been trying to get me to consent to getting a dog for over an hour and I couldn't take his nagging anymore.

"I'm not saying yes, but I can't listen to your complaining anymore. Let's stop at the puppy shelter." I set up compromise and Morality squealed in joy. We checked out at the supermarket we had been inside and began to make our way down the street when we saw a breaking news forecast talking about some accident in front of our building. On any other day, we wouldn't have stopped to watch. News like that came around often and normally it wasn't as bad as the news portrayed it to be, but this time something felt different. Something inside of Thomas was different, off.

"...the sight of the accident has scared many people away. The only bystander on the scene disappeared right after the incident and the incident caused the person hit to get sent to the hospital urgently..." the hospital. That building was tiny and hardly used, which shows how severe the incident must be. We slowly began walking again until our attention was pulled back up to the screens several minutes later. They were showing a group photo of all of us emotions. The question was who were they referencing? And why were they being referenced? We got our answer when the anchorman finally spoke up again, "Such a shame that one of them got hit by the stolen news van. Our sources say that human Thomas was pushed out of the way of the incoming van before he disappeared. We are trying to make contact with our friends in the common building, but it seems nobody is currently home..."

That struck a nerve. Thomas here? In our world? Anxiety was supposed to be watching him and he knows all the bad things that can happen to Thomas should he enter our world. The reporter said that he was pushed out of the way. But by who? It struck myself and Morality at the same time and we both sprinted for the hospital at the edge of town. As we dashed around a street corner we ran into someone. Red and white clouded my vision. He helped us up before he started running towards the hospital. We followed as quick as we could.

"So, I'm assuming you saw the news..." Morality huffed over towards Prince shortly.

"Yeah, sent Pranks and Misleading Compliments to go check on Thomas while we go to the hospital. Anxiety better be okay." Prince whined in a very childlike manner that depicted his outright anger at the situation. Knowing us, this probably wasn't going to end well, but I had to ignore myself for the moment to get to him. Without him, we aren't as motivated to do things in Thomas's life.

Without him, we can't be whole.
