🌊Sailor's Delight AU🌊

A Roleplay between myself & NevermoreUppercrust

During a new dawn's light shined upon the ocean's sapphire blue waters as the waves crashed against a weathered sea stone showed a upper body of a enchanting beauty as her voice sang out clearly with the waves.

Her long h/c hair was wet and shined in the light as her chest was covered by shell halves and f/c scales on her curves while her deep e/c eyes looked out onto the waters.

Meanwhile a bit farther out at sea, a young captain stirred in his sleep, his dreams being plagued by the most hauntingly beautiful voice he'd ever heard. Tossing around restlessly, the poor lad broke into a cold sweat. As he lay there moaning, something in the back of his mind kept nagging at him, telling him he needed to wake up. He fought it off for a time, but soon he was unable to neglect the voice drawing him to consciousness. As the dark veil of sleep lifted from him, the captain bolted upright in his bed. His breathing was slightly labored as he looked around his room, making sure he was awake. Although the voice in his mind was no longer giving him orders, the beautiful and ominous singing had yet to cease.

Confused and in a slight sleep-deprived daze, he listened a bit closer to the sound, trying to decipher where it was coming from. It wouldn't be the first time one of his crew members snuck a woman on board... Pulling off his covers with an irritated groan, the brunette stood up from his bed. He tilted his head at an angle, listening to the sweet song filling his ship. Following the sound through is ship, he checked every room he passed for signs of life. What caught him off guard however, was the fact that none of his crew were sleeping in their cabins as they should be! Concerned, he followed the voice up to the deck. And what he saw was startling. The crew was there, but there wasn't a woman to be seen. Seeing his first mate looking over the railing, the captain walked briskly over, needing answers.

(Bradley) - "Timothy... What in the name of Davy Jones is going on here??" He questioned the larger male. His first mate kept staring down towards the water, looking at though he'd lost something. The singing seemed to have ceased, and the whole crew looked just as confused as their captain. The first mate turned towards the brunette with an odd look.

(Timothy) - "Did you hear that...?? That singing?" He quired, his brows knit together.

Bradley nodded, matching his expression before allowing his face to stretch into an assuring smile.

(Bradley) - "Indeed I have... But not to worry lads! I'm sure it's just the wind! Why, remember that time we ran out here in a storm, thinking the wind was a bunch of stray cats??" He reminisced with a laugh, trying to ease his crew. The men all began to laugh at the fond memory, feeling more at ease. A ravenette near the mast spoke up next.

(Max) - "Aye! That was the day we had to pull Timothy out of that barrel of ale, we did!" He chirped, earning more laughs and a blush from the first mate. Bradley smiled as he pulled Timothy away from the railing, looking over the faces of his loyal crew.

(Bradley) - "See, lads? I'm sure this is simply the ocean getting to us! So, why don't we all turn in?! We've still got to make it to Midnight Island before storm season!" He ushered them, starting to turn back towards the stairs.

Unknowingly to the ship's crew a figure watched them carefully on the waters as the ship came closer to the smooth sea rocks of her basking sun light. The beauty slowly climbed onto the flat sun basking rock as she sang out a simple melody to lull the men on the boat near once more.

Once the ship got close enough the beauty slowly climbed onto the boat's side and clawed the barnacles off the wood with ease.

(?)- "You sailors are heading to dangerous waters and where my kind roam it's depths.~"

A lovely and seductive voice spoke up as a fair skinned yet shiny woman's hands grabbed onto the railing and showed a beautiful face of a woman. Jewels lined her arms and wrists while pearls were placed elegantly in her long h/c hair against glowing gloss of her f/c scales.

(?)- "Many of your own have tried to sail to the isle of midnight yet have never been there to tell the tale to be taken into a watery grave by the song's of the sea's beauties.~"

On the ledge of the ship's wood rested a beautiful and glorious f/c scaled fish tail and lite f/c tail fin. The beauty hummed softly as she ran her fingers through her long h/c hair fixing the pearls in her locks.

The men stopped dead in their tracks, turning towards the sound of a voice with curious eyes. The crew's jaws dropped at the sight of the lass sitting on the side of the ship. Several sounds of utter awe fell from the lips of nearly every man on board. Bradley was in the back of the crowd, not yet able to see past the men to view the girl from which the dazzling call did come from. Wide eyed and dazed, the others stumbled over closer to gape at the poor creature in pure amazement. Worried, Bradley looked over his men, waving his hand infront of their eyes to try to get them to focus. However, the harder he tried, the less they responded to him. He moved over infront of one of his larger members, taking him by the shoulders. His eyes bore into the vacant ones belonging to his friend.

(Bradley) - "Pete..?! C'mon lad, snap out of it, what is wrong with-"

He was caught off as the voice became much clearer, and twice as loud to his ears. removing his hands from his shipmate, the young captain's turned around only to spot the girl on the ledge. As his mouth fell agape with wonder, his senses seemed to leave him. Just like with his crew, now his undivided attention was on her and her glorious voice. His heart pounded against his chest as he crept closer to the ethereal creature singing her tune.

She snapped her fingers as the trace like features vanished away. Her e/c eyes looked straight at the crew of men.

(?)- "Your sailors always enthralled by a beautiful lass as my kind are meant to be so lured by the song of the ocean."

She said honestly as the dawn's light shines on her jewelry and pearls showing the pearly white oyster shells on her chest while fluffing her damp hair to show her gleaming f/c scales on her waist curves and wrists.

Bradley and the others all let out small, pained groans, a slight headache being a side effect of her powers. The blue-eyed male rubbed at his temple as he stared questioningly at the maiden.

(Bradley) - "Madam...? If you don't mind my asking... H-How did you get on board?? We've been at sea for a month now!" He questioned, not hearing or comprehending the girl's statement.

She laughed melodiously before pulling herself up fully onto the railing to show her tail as it gleamed with sea water droplets like diamonds.

(?)- "What creature is enchantingly beautiful and has a silvery melodious song that attracts men towards the water below? Sailors call us sirens, mermaids and women of song."

She said honestly as her tail swayed on the ship's dock showing a piece of net tangled up on her tail fin.

(?)- "But pirates...they long to capture a siren for our tails are valuable as well as our jewelry and song voice. Some even ugh eat us but then go mad as punishment for killing our kind. Ouch!" She said honestly as she winced slightly from the rope squeezing her f/c tail.

As his comrades continued to stare at the poor girl, taking in her features, Bradley stepped a bit closer to her. He'd noticed her piercing eyes dart down to what he now realized was a tail, and followed her gaze. He took another step forward before gesturing to the net wrapped tightly around her. His eyes moved back to her's as he began to stoop down.

(Bradley) - "Here... May I?" He asked, hoping to be allowed to help her. As he awaited an answer, he too was taken by her beauty. Although his natural instincts were to stay back, the little voice from earlier kept urging him to get as close as possible to the girl, no matter the cost.

Her e/c eyes turned onto the man in front of her before lifting her tail up slowly to his space.

(?)- "Just don't hit my tail with the knives blade. Dang Pirates tired to capture me two days ago and my claws cut me free from the net well mostly I should say." She said honestly as she looked up seeing a tiny man gawking at her figure then up at the others gawking eyes.

(?)- "*ahem* Kindly stop staring at my assets or I'll scream so loud that it will ruin your ear canals forever." She said while her tail flinched slightly and picked up her hand from the railing making a floating bubble of sea water about the size of a cannonball show then snapped her fingers as the water poured onto her body.

(?)- "Got to keep my tail wet least it dries up and trust me an dry tail is an itchy one and uncomfortable." She said honestly well playing with a golden bracelet on her wrist which was covered in various jewels.

Bradley couldn't help but chuckle at her blunt honesty as he carefully sawed through the net encasing her tail.

(B) - "My... You're very frank, aren't you, Love?" He half asked as he finished cutting through the first piece of rope. As he worked on the net, his crew tried everything in their power to respect her wishes and not look. However, being at sea for so long makes that hard for any man to do. After just a few moments, the net had been cut through. Bradley beamed as he carefully removed the frayed pieces from her fin, freeing her entirely from it's grasp. Standing up, he tossed the useless garbage into an empty barrel nearby. Sliding the knife back into it's place on his belt, Bradley smiled towards the creature on the rails.

(Bradley) - "There... You should be good to go now, lass...!~" He chirped, gesturing back to her tail.

(?)- "Thank you for the help and you all may want to step back a bit." She said honestly before back flipping back into the water below deep down then jumped out of the waves as her tail began transforming in f/c sparkles.

Her shells even changed to a more appropriate way to show as her f/c scales vanished as well to leave beautiful and soft skin behind. Her jewelry shrank to fit on her upper arms, wrists and ankles but still let blood flow through her body with ease.

(?)- "Now, my manners for a kind sailor that helped a water woman such as I. *ahem* I am Y/n a siren mermaid of the seven seas along with a beautiful singing voice." She said while her hair dried easily becoming soft, shiny and bright as the pearls formed into a braid of sorts that held her hair in a fishtail braid over her shoulder.

As half of the crew fainted and fell to the floor, Bradley and the others were trying as hard as possible not to stare. Max felt his nose, feeling a warm liquid dripping from it, while Timothy was forced to step back. Bradley moved his burning red face away as he shed his coat from his arms. Still trying not to peek, he handed the long garment to the girl. The coat would at least go down to her knees...

(Bradley) - "Um... I-if you would be so kind as to put this on...?" He pleaded, his face warming by the second. He took a couple steps back, trying to process what he'd seen and heard. He'd heard so many gruesome tales of how men were dragged down below the waves, consumed by their needs and killed. These facts made him nervous, but that little voice prompted him to not be afraid, despite common sense.

She looked at the cloth curiously before walking passed the captain. How could she tell by from stories her mother, friends and that herself saw that the Captain of a sailor or pirate ship wore flashy cloth. She knelt down and poked a man on the cheek whom was on the floor.

(Y/n)- "Your friends are they unwell? Their faces are red like a snapper fish and I will not wear that cloth when I am already clothed granted this is mermaid garb but it mainly for full movement until I go back into the water." She said honestly as something caught her eye as she climbed up the rope ladder and across the sail mast balancing carefully on her feet til she got to the crow's nest and picked up a long circular metal rod.

Bradley and Tank both watched her with wide, panicked eyes, unsure of what she was up to, or whether or not she was safe. Unable to stand and watch, the captain let out a fearful yelp before climbing up after her to the nest. Once there he climbed up over the rail and hopped down beside her. He observed the young girl as she inspected the thing in hand. In all honesty, he was the slightest bit concerned she'd run him through with it. Thinking it best she got down, he put a hand on her shoulder and tried to talk her into descending.

(Bradley) - "M-miss Y/n...? I-I think it'd be best if you let me help you down..." He coaxed, trying to gently remove the spyglass from her hands.

She looked over at the man before getting out of the nest and balanced walked on the smooth wood looking below at the waves then jumped off the edge and back into the water. She climbed up the boat once more in her siren body looking at the men while playing with her pearls in her hair once more.

(Y/n)- "Men are some interesting from your garb to your odd behaviors and mannerisms. Do your woman wear that much cloth as well or less so?"

She questioned while taking the tiny man's eye glasses and played with them before putting them on wrong.

(Y/n)- "Some wear these odd trinkets well others do not and speak in many different ways and languages." She questioned curiously.

(Her outfit would be more like Kida's)

Bradley had followed briskly after her and now laughed a bit as he tried to silence her as politely as possible. She was asking so many questions at once to be able to answer them!

(Bradley) - "Woah, woah, woah! Slow down Miss Y/n! One question at a time!" he chortled, carefully retrieving his friend's glasses. Tank stood behind him, handing him his coat. Bradley gave a nod before folding it over his arm. He smiled at the lass, intrigued by her curiosity for his kind. Stepping closer to her, once again gestured towards his coat for her to take.

(Bradley) - "Tell you what... You put this coat on before you get sick... And I'll answer at least a few of your questions... Deal?" He offered, unsure if she even COULD get sick from the cold sea air and water clinging to her body.

(Y/n)- "Sirens don't get sick like humans plus I have to stay cold and wet in this form or I'll die." She said honestly as she played with the coat slightly a bit before looking up at the men as she moved her hair in front of her body to cover up more while her tail stayed in the water below.

(Y/n)- "You are still set to sailing to the isle of midnight then you'll need a sirens guidance least my siren sisters lure you all to the water below." She said honestly as she gently pats the captain's cheek.

The crew watched the two closely as their captain's cheeks took on a pink tint. He gave a nervous chuckle as he scooted a bit closer to her. Her hands had been like velvet on his face, catching him off guard once again. Pushing those thoughts aside for a bit, he turned to her with a question of his own.

(B) - "Huh.... H-How did you know where we were head'n?" He questioned quietly. His crew all murmerred behind him, all having different things to say. Some like Tank were curious like their captain, while others were upset that he was so close to the girl, each for different reasons.

She laughed sweetly before looking over her shoulder at the sea then began singing out beautifully a familiar tune that they all heard earlier this morning.

(Y/n)- "That song you all heard was my singing voice and your boat wasn't that far from my sun bathing rocks when I heard you all talking something about cats? Then I heard of the isle of midnight for that is were my sisters and I live." She spoke honestly while humming softly to the waves that beated against the sea rocks and boat.

Bradley gave his head a shake to regain focus, having her small tune blocking his senses for a short time. A chill ran down his spine as he listened to her humming. He took a moment to consider her words, unsure of what to do about the siren's bloodthirsty sisters. After a moment of deliberation, he finally got an idea. However, it was going to sound crazy when he said it.. He looked back to his confused crew, all of them waiting for something to happen. Seeing no other choice but to speak his mind, the captain drew in a breath.

(Bradley) - "Miss Y/n... Is there any way we could convince you to join us on our voyage? Some of us have families at home, and it would be a shame to meet our end before we could provide anything for them..."

He pleaded, gesturing towards Max. Although speaking the truth, his first mate could tell his captain was pulling out all the stops to convince the lass to join them. His persuasion was one of his many weapons he used against his crew...

Y/n looked over at the crew and scoffed at the Captain.

(Y/n)- "First off my sister's are not bloodthirsty at all but protective. Roxanne, Stella and Gwendolyn are kind as long as your not pirates."

She said honestly before pulling the Captain towards her and growled angrily at him as her ears showed as f/c silk fins under her h/c hair.

(Y/n)- "But follow me and I'll guide you to safer shores." She said honestly as she swang her tail onto the ship as she got her legs back and walked passed the men up to the log point breathing in the salty sea air before singing out beautifully.

The waters began to shimmer and shine with her sound as the slight waves calmed down into a peaceful atmosphere. Y/n stopped singing with a smile on her face.

(Y/n)- "There we are calm and peaceful waters to sail on. Hmm?"

Her ears perked up slightly from her h/c hair showing cute and little hound ears with red pearl earrings as she heard long distance singing towards midnight isle direction.

(Y/n)- "My sisters have heard my song, shall we head out onto the crystal blue waters, Captain?~" She spoke seductively as well sweetly.

The captain's cheeks warmed up at her tone, having just broken yet another trance she'd pulled him into. He nodded in agreement, ready to get a move on. He didn't know what lied ahead for himself and his treasure-hunting crew, but he was grateful for the young beauty's help, however dangerous she may be.

(Bradley) - "Ahem, Uh- Yes, yes! It's time we got back on course. Men, you know your positions, now get to'em!"
He ordered.

His crew grinned, muttered a collective, "Aye, Captain!" and went to work. Tending the sails, the ropes, everything, the boys got busy. Bradley sauntered over to the wheel, Tank joining him moments later, handing him the map. Bradley carefully took the brittle, rolled-up parchment before sending Tank on his way.

The captain sent a smile towards the sky as the gentle breeze filled his sails. He glanced toward the siren often, both from anxiousness and unbridled need to keep her in his sights. Her sweet voice played through his mind, taunting him.

The siren stood by the log post as she kept her ears out to listen to the waters movement before she began to feel eyes on her body. She looked over her shoulder at the helm where the Captain was steering the ship looking up from his map at her.

She looked at him confused with a tilt of her head curiously then looked back over at the water as she played with her long fishtail braid messing with it's jewels and pearls treaded throughout her h/c hair as her jewelry gleamed as the sun rose in the sky from it's dawning light.

She breathed slowly in the salty sea air and slowly began dancing on the deck beautifully as if she was dancing with the waters movement below. Everytime she delicately span around made her loincloth skirt sway from her legs as her ankle bracelets mingled a tune as she danced.

Y/n quickly stopped dancing as her ears perked up slightly through her loose hair then ran over to the Captain and looked down at the ocean from the highter view.

(Y/n)- "You will want to steer the ship right or you'll sink your ship. We are about to enter the siren's wreck.... it's where the dead spirits of my kind live haunting the ships they've capsized to protect the isle."

She said honestly as her ears perked up higher then grabbed some spare rope and quickly tied the crew to the masts as life lines as a famaliar haunting song filled the air.

(Y/n)- "They are coming...." She whispered softly as she shivered in fear while men were effected by the songs but not women thankfully.

The crew sighed wistfully as the sweet melody filled their ears. It was mere moments before they were completely and utterly senseless. Big, dopey grins stretched across their faces as they struggled against their binds. Bradley watched this with worried eyes before turning to the ship's wheel. He'd yet to truly be affected, and was taking his chance to steer them safely through this while he could. He tried to block out the enticing song of the spirits, fearing for his and his crew's lives. He struggled greatly to do so however, as he steered the ship. His entire body tensed as fighting off their spell became increasingly difficult... He squeezed his eyes shut, a soft groan escaping his lips. He was slipping, and he didn't know how long he could handle this... With a pleading gaze, he looked over to the siren, knowing full and well she was the only one unaffected.

(Bradley) - "Y-Y/n... Ugh... I-If I black out... Please, TRY to steer them out of here..." He begged, the siren song growing louder.

Her e/c eyes widened in shock at the Captain before hardening. She quickly placed her hands onto his shoulders and breathed slowly.

(Y/n)- "Don't listen to the phantoms, listen to me and look only at me instead not them." She said before her eyes glowed bright aqua blue.

She opened her mouth as her sweet melody filled the ship and the crew's ears while making the phantoms back off hearing one of their own on the ship.

(Y/n)- "What would I give to live where you are? What would I pay to stay here beside you? What would I do to see you smiling at me?" She sang out beautifully as she looked over at Bradley before placing one of her hands onto his cheek with a soft smile on her face.

(Y/n)- "Where would we walk? Where would we run?
If we could stay all day in the sun? Just you and me,
If I could be part of your world.~" The sunlight shined beautifully on the ship as it made a halo like light around the siren's hair while she carefully steered the ship towards the exit the rocky shipwreck graveyard where it was mainly pirate ships. Y/n looked up at Bradley as she sang drawing him and the crew back to their senses.

(Y/n)- Gently placed her head onto Bradley's chest as she sang beautifully as her voice guided the waters below to safety at last. "I don't know when, I don't know how? But I know something's starting right now. Watch and you'll see... Someday I'll be part of you world!~" Once she finished singing the waves splashed around the ship hitting the crew to fully wake them up.

Y/n moved away from the Captain embarrassed since she used a song which could make the waves do anything she wished to save what the sirens wished to keep safe from harm.

(Y/n)- "Well, one obstacle down and two more to go. I'll let you be then I'm going to go get something to eat from the sea... uh, bye." She said before jumping off the ship's railing and into the sea to get her breakfast of sorts.

The entire crew watched with wide eyes as she jumped gracefully off of the boat in a perfect dive. The captain's heart raced as he steered the ship, his arms shaking. He, like the others, was totally shaken by the events of the last five or so minutes. Bradley had it the worst though. His crew watched as he let go of the wheel. He stumbled a bit as he stepped away, still shaking like a leaf. His first mate was beyond concerned, having never seen Bradley so affected by anything! The captain cleared his throat as he met Tank's gaze.

(Bradley) - "T-Timothy... W-Would you care to take the helm a moment...? I uh... I need to make sure we're on course..." He asked, earning a nod from his first mate. Once the wheel was securely in Tank's hands, Bradley walked out to the very front of the ship.

He took a seat upon the rail and looked toward the sky. The sun's position let him know they were at least going the right direction. So, with that small bit of peace in mind, he closed his eyes. He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. He could hear his crew muttering behind him, them still being a bit put off due to the spell. Bradley tried blocking them out for now, wanting to forget what had happened.

He'd never been so scared in his life, and yet.... That wasn't what bothered him now.

It was her. Y/n. The siren that saved him and his crew from certain, bloody doom.

She affected him much more than those spirits ever could, being able to calm him the way she had. And yet he knew not how or why.

Y/n swam alongside the boat and carefully climbed onto the railing under Bradley as she slurped the last of her seaweed and kelp down before climbing up onto the railing as her tail rested in the water.

(Y/n)- "That song is meant to protect what a siren deems worthy of their guidance and respect along with something else which I can't tell you at least, yet."

She said honestly before pulling herself onto the railing as her legs appeared again along with her other hound qualities. She held her legs against her chest as she looked up at the morning sky basking in the sun breathing softly.

(Y/n)- "I've never been out of the sea for so long, I always dreamed of being on land for my life but.... I can't because as a siren, I can't stay away from the sea for to long or I'll become completely normal."

She said as she played with her fishtail braid messing with the jewels in her hair. The light shined beautifully on her still wet dropped skin making it look like she had diamonds on her clothes.

She tossed her braid back onto her back as she sighed softly.

(Y/n)- "Long time ago my mother used to tell me a story, of a siren whom fell in love with a man and he fell for the siren... but he was a pirate knowingly to the siren. They had a house on the beach right by the sea and a family until one day, the wife left to get oysters for dinner changing into her siren form she loved everything about her new life and family...."

She became quite as tears slide down her face slowly before wiping them away while she stared at the sea as the sun shined onto the water.

(Y/n)- "When she came back home though.... The house that she and her husband lived in with their children was ransacked, furniture and portraits broken, but the worst part was when the siren saw pirates chopping off her two eldest daughters tails clean off on the sand alongside the corpse of her husband. The siren was so angry that she wailed out a powerful song in her human form killing the pirates off one by one drowning them into the sea. She ran towards her fallen husband's body and saw that he had died protecting their youngest daughters from harm as did the eldest sisters."

Y/n moved her hand to her neck and took a clam necklace off as she opened it up showing three Pearl's of white, pink and light blue.

(Y/n)- "It was then that the mother decided that she would never let anybody of land harm her family again so she raised her daughters away from anything that could hurt them on their isle where the siren and her husband lived until when they were old enough she placed a powerful song spell on the isle and it's farthest waters dying in the process..."

She said honestly before closing the clam and placed it back onto her neck while her shoulders shook slightly.

(Y/n)- "So her daughters roam the waters below making sure no one can ever reach the isle.... saddest thing about the story though the isle where the siren's daughters live is the isle of Midnight." She said honestly
