(J-Hope) Jung Hoseok
You looked up the clock and saw that it's almost midnight, you stared at your laptop that plays a performance for last year's showcase. You were assigned by the school head to organize this year's program. And as much you we're proud to be recognized, seeing the main performer in the video, brought so many memories in you, both good and bad, that your heart aches again as if it remembers the past.
But still, you have no choice, it can be a good addition for your application to your planned university. So you started to plan.
*
"Thank you (Y/N), I know I could count on you for this. Not that I don't have any good teachers to assign this." The head laughed heartily. "But I know that this would be good for you. You plan to apply for scholarship right?" You smiled stiffly at him. Being reminded that everything will not be the same anymore since your father died, the sole breadwinner of your family. And now everyone in the family, especially you, has to work hard to maintain the finances needed.
"It's actually fun planning this." You said. "Thank you for trusting me." You added and he smiled. He continues to scan the program list that you gave him and he sat up when someone knocks on the door.
"Come in!" He shouted then looks at you. "I forgot to say that your part isn't finished yet. Since you're the one who organized and planned the event, you'll also be in charge. The president of the dance club and the main choreographer for the production will also be helping you out." your eyes widened when the man you were trying forget for the past year suddenly stood in front of you, both your expressions mirroring each other.
"Ah! Hoseok-ah, sit here." The principal pointed to the seat next to you and you were trying not to gape at him too much.
"I assume you both know each other, Jung Hoseok and (Y/N). I'm giving the both of you the responsibility to make this program a success. Don't let me down." He said and you both nodded and stood up to go out.

"Eat this. It's good for you." Hoseok puts the pickles in your burger with a frown on his face.
"Don't lie." You laughed. "Eat it, even though it tastes bad. Come on, ahhh~" you teased as you feed him the pickles like a baby, to which he responded with baby sounds before eating it.
"Good boy" you said as you patted his head. He frowned.
"I'm not a dog."
"Of course you aren't. You're a horse."
"Oh ha ha"
-
"Do you wanna stay at my house?" He asked.
"Yeah okay. What are we gonna do there?" You asked as you pack up your things.
"The usual, where gonna study." He said "or maybe watch movies." He added.
"There's no 'or'." As if you're gonna study." You smiled.
"Let's watch something scary (y/n)!" He said excitedly. You smiled, thinking that he's very cute.
"I don't want to. You're hard to deal with when you're scared." You said. But you were already listing some movies in your head.
"What?!" He shouted. "No I'm not! I don't get scared easily!"
You snorted.
You almost smiled when you remembered the times you spent together with hoseok, but thought against it as the man you were thinking of is sitting right in front of you and you have to show you're not affected by it, even if it does, so much.
You scribbled the names of the groups that are part of the performances. You were both at the library, and you were concentrated at your work as he stared (or glared, you don't know) at you as if he was trying to erase you or engrave you in his memory.
Hoseok rarely got angry, even in your 3 years relationship with him, he was mostly the one who apologizes first. And now, you don't know what to do. You've hurt him so much in the past, but who says that it was not hard for you too?
"I plan to make this like a stage play, you know what I mean? Since last year it was a like a talent competition. What do you think?" You looked at him and now you're a hundred percent sure that he's glaring at you.
"Why don't we talk first?" He glared accusatorily and you gulped.
"Um.. aren't we already talking?" You replied and sighed.
"No!" You were startled when his voice got louder. You looked at other people who were also looked at him. "Let's talked about us, (y/n)."
"What is there to talk about?" You said neutrally but you feel your throat getting restricted, blocked with words you want to say but you cannot. Not now. "We broke up hoseok, there's nothing to clear up from that." You stood up to get out and he immediately followed.
"YOU broke up with me (y/n). You didn't give me a reason why, just saying that you're tired. How is that clear?!" He shouted when the both of you were outside and now you were walking towards the school grounds where there is air. Anywhere.
"I really am tired." You honestly said. It was not entirely a lie, you were tired of the problems in your family, the loss of your father, the thought that life would never be the same again. It was too much for you.
"Was my love not enough for you? Do you think I won't understand, why can't you just tell me?" He pleaded and you felt your knees get weaker at the sound of his voice, so broken. You looked at his eyes and immediately regretted it, his eyes were glistening with unshed tears and it was not the bright hoseok you wished to see. He was heartbroken, because of you. "I spent all year trying to understand why?I tried to hide all my sadness whenever I see you, because you looked so damn okay all the time! Like I'm the only one dying inside!" He cried. And you also cried with sadness.
You know he was wrong, you were hollow inside ever since you broke up with him. Because the truth is, he was the only thing that is right in your life ever since all things started to go to hell.
You stared at him with longing, both of you now sitting on the ground. You reached up to him and touched his cheeks and he leaned on your touch.
"I missed you. I'm sorry." You whispered. And he looked at you and sighed. He stood up and pulled you up and said. "Let's go somewhere and talk. And (y/n) please, tell me everything." He pleaded. You contemplated whether it is a good thing. Coming back to him even though you gave him so much pain. But looking at his eyes, you made up your mind that you won't give him any more pain. So you nodded.
*
"Do you still love me?" He asked after you explained why you broke up with him, how the death of your father, the financial burden suddenly given to your family, made you lose time with him. Filled with guilt, you set him free, or so you thought.
"Of course I do!" You exclaimed. "I wouldn't still be crying my heart out for you if I didn't." You sniffed and you saw him smile and leaned back on his bed. He brought you to his dorm, and you saw that his room hasn't changed a bit. Your photos were still on his bedside, which made your heart beat fast.
"Good. I thought I was the only one." He hugged you and pulled you to lay in the bed. "I missed you. So much." He murmured into your neck as you card your finger through his scalp and felt him relax and sigh.
"Will you still want to be with me again?" You nervously asked and felt him hum.
"On one condition." He said. "Just let me help you and don't leave me when things get too hard for you again. " He asked.
You nodded and he kissed you on the lips.
Suddenly, everything felt right again.
