TOGETHER: Part ∞ + 30
Even though the freezing wind was blowing onto me, I could only feel my racing heart as I watched Bomyu leaning closer to Paikek's face.
The wind was dragging the autumn leaves across the road, I was motionless looking at Bomyu and Paikek. Bomyu unexpectedly turned his brown eyes to me without moving his face.
"Bomyu, hi." I murmured in a little embarrassment, avoiding eye contact with him.
"Hi, I was just checking Paikek's eye colour." Bomyu moved away from Paikek, turning his face to me as he laughed tensely.
"Yeah, Bomyu thought that they were green." Paikek giggled, narrowing his eyes, as he gently pushed Bomyu away from his shoulder.
"Well, that's interesting." I blinked twice while I looked directly at them.
"Right! I actually have brown eyes. I don't know how Bomyu sees them green." Paikek effused. He curled a corner of his mouth up as he rose his eyebrows twice.
"Stop Pai, or I'll mess up your hair." Bomyu chuckled, patting Paikek's hair.
"Alright. I'm going back to sleep. I don't know how you find this energy in the middle of the night." I turned my back, stepping on my way to the bench.
Seanyung was sleeping on the bench in the same fetal position. He looked like he was feeling cold but his face looked calm when his eyes were closed.
"Your friends don't know it, right?" A creepy whispering reached my ears. It sounded like the voice of a young girl.
I turned around, looking across the bridge seeing nobody but Bomyu and Paikek on the edge.
"Paikek? Bomyu? Did you hear that?" I called them while I continued to check around.
Accordingly, Bomyu and Paikek ran, coming beside me.
"What's wrong?" Paikek asked, raising his eyebrows up.
"I heard someone whispering." I spoke as I kept checking around.
Seanyung woke up and rubbed his eyes; he wondered; "What is happening?".
"I hear whispers!" I repeated.
At the same time, the cold wind started blowing intensely. The night was silent but there was something out there listening. Or maybe watching us. Something dangerous, something we knew.
"Maybe it's the wind." Bomyu suggested.
"No, I heard something."
"Yes, you did." The girl I couldn't see whispered again. Her voice was familiar but it was intimidating.
"Guys, did you hear that?" I asked when I heard the voice again.
"I didn't hear anything." Bomyu shook his head sideways.
"Me too." Paikek lifted his brows twice.
I was thinking that maybe it was just a vision, just like the ones I saw on the Komorebi cafe. But, I definitely wasn't crazy. I felt like it was all happening real to me.
"Maybe, that person is using a magic spell, so that only you can hear them?" Seanyung opined. However, it didn't make any sense to me.
"Did you tell them about it?" The whispers echoed in my ears while Seanyung was speaking.
"Tell them about what?" I asked.
Seanyung, Bomyu, and Paikek turned their faces to me, looking extremely confused as they couldn't hear the voices that I could hear.
"It's me, you remember my name?" Purple-haired ghost girl from the Komorebi Cafe appeared right in front of me, in a long white dress. Her transparent body was impossible for me to forget.
"You tricked us! Where is the book?" I shouted loudly at her.
She chuckled as her hair fell over her face. And, a magical wand appeared in her hand which had a star symbol on it. A powerful wind circled around her, creating drastic turbulence.
"Now I can see her." Paikek widened his eyes when he noticed the ghost girl. Accordingly, Bomyu and Seanyung picked up their wands and pointed them against the ghost.
"Four of you are not ready for the moment." She chuckled, as she generated a purple magical surge, pushing me and my friends away to the concrete ground. My back and my arms started hurting from hitting to the ground.
Her hair flew against the wind, as she tilted her head up to the shady night sky.
"What do you want from us?" I tried to speak in pain as there were bruises on my arms and my back.
"I want the book, the star book! Give it to me or you will die! I know you have it." She played with a curl of her transparent hair.
"No, I don't know where that is. But if you really want to know, you should help us." I proposed, offering my hand do her. My hand was shaking; I was nervous.
"Why would I help a bunch of stupid boys who never will find their friend Yonsan?" She gibed in an irritating way.
"Don't say his name again!" Bomyu interjected, stepping forward.
"Yeah, we tried our best to find Yonsan. Besides, it's none of your business." Seanyung added.
"You all don't know who you are." The ghost girl snickered out loud as she continued; "The reason that stars are disappearing is you!"
"She is lying!" Bomyu interjected in a low tone.
"How are we the reason that the stars disappeared?" I questioned, lifting my eyebrows.
She turned around and started walking to the other side of the bridge, while she was laughing for no reason. She lifted her magical wand upwards to the dark night night sky.
She generated a magical lightning bolt up to the sky, enlightening the darkness of the night. A raging wind began blowing across the bridge in a tremendous acceleration. The expression in her eyes was pure evil, and her laugh made me shiver.
"What are you doing?" I shouted as the sound of the wind got louder. At the same time, Bomyu and Paikek got behind me, and Seanyung walked towards the girl as the wind blew onto us.
"I am doing the thing you should've been doing." She laughed in screams loudly as the lightning stroke back at her, but it didn't hurt her because she was transparent.
The star left on the sky slowly dimmed as a wave of energy circulated the ghost girl. Once the lights of the star faded away, she stopped laughing but her screams continued echoing.
I looked at her face with my watery eyes, and she turned her eyes on me back.
The last star remaining in the sky disappeared, leaving the sky blank, buried in darkness. It was the last one and the most precious one. However, its twinkle ended by the Komorebi cafe ghost.
Accordingly, the lights of the city dimmed, letting darkness fall over the streets. The sky had never been that dark before. The emptiness of it shivered my soul to my bones.
"What did you do?" I got shocked and I advanced towards her with my wand.
"I killed a star." Ghost girl chuckled as she held her wand against me.
"Shut up!" I pointed my magical wand towards her firing a magical beam onto her.
She shook her wand against the magical beam that I unleashed, creating another wave of magic. Her magical wave met mine in the middle. While both magic rays pushed each other, I tried held my wand stable, to make my spell stronger. But, she was still laughing; it seemed like she had something in her mind.
Suddenly, she opened her arms letting my magic ray hit her. However, it only passed throughout her transparent body while she snickered.
Her eyes began glimmering as she blinked, creating another lightning wave. She turned her hands towards me and my friends, changing the direction of the lightning bolt onto us.
"No! Stop it!" Seanyung rapidly got in front of me, preventing the lightning to hit me, while Bomyu and Paikek were hiding behind me. By the effect of the lightning, Seanyung fell over the ground.
"Seanyung, are you okay?" I rushed next to him, kneeled down and I put my finger on his neck, checking his pulse. It was okay, he was alive but it was noticeable that he was hurting as he was closing his eyes.
"You all don't know how to do magic." Ghost girl walked next to me, as she giggled.
"Leave us alone." I implored while flooding tears fell from my eyes.
"I will never leave you alone."
"He said leave us alone!" Bomyu put in, speaking in a higher tone.
Ghost girl walked onto me, putting her hand on my forehead. Rapidly, it caused me to shut my eyes, I wasn't able to see anything but just blank darkness. However, I was feeling a tremendous pain coming deep from my chest to neck. It even became hard for me to breath.
Even though I couldn't see, I could hear her voice saying;
"Now it's time for you to know the truth."
