FOREVER: Part ∞ + 21
In the break of the sunset, I walked on the narrow empty dark streets, following the navigations on my phone. The clouds were turning from blue to lilac as the sun was going down.
Checking my phone, it was shown on the map that I was getting closer to the blue dot as I walked.
The navigation map led me to the entrance of the Komorebi park where we met Sonya Soundstrong and sang songs with her. The place was empty and it was darker than the last time I visited. Not a single person was there. I walked across the pavement surrounded by trees as the purple light of the dusk filtered through the emerald green leaves.
The wind grew stronger as the leaves fell over me. I put my hand over my face to prevent the dust from getting in my eyes.
I heard a beeping siren sound in my ears as the sky started flashing in purple and blue tones while the gust got intense. I took a step, and everything around me went blank.
"Why is this always happening to me?" I asked out loud, but nobody could hear me as I was in blank darkness. Nothing was around me.
Instantly, I started seeing the living room of our apartment. It looked normal; no scratches, no cracks, no blood on the walls.
"Where did Karu go?" Seanyung asked as he walked out from the kitchen, holding two cups of tea in his hands.
"Seanyung?" I called his name, moved next to him, but he didn't seem to notice any of my actions.
Seanyung walked past me and gave one of the cups to Paikek who was laying over his yellow bedsheets.
"Thanks." Paikek lifted his eyebrows twice as he took a smell of the tea. He didn't seem to notice me either.
"I thought Karu was coming after you." Bomyu just came out from the bathroom and spoke to Paikek in low a voice.
None of my friends was noticing me. That made me realise that they were just a vision that I was having.
It looked like these moments happened when I went out with Sonya. They were questioning where I was because I forgot to tell them.
"I feel bad for Karu. He seems so sad sometimes." Paikek took a sip from his tea.
"We all worry about him." Seanyung put in as he sat onto the blue couch.
"Paikek, why are you wearing my sweater?" Bomyu noticed his pink sweater was on Paikek.
"I didn't know you wear anything rather than black?" Paikek bantered.
Bomyu jumped beside Paikek as he secretly picked up a pillow. And, Bomyu laughed while he started to hit Paikek with the pillow.
"What was that for?" Paikek chuckled, he grabbed the other edge of the pillow and pulled it. They kept pushing and pulling the pillow over the bed.
"Stop it guys. You are not kids." Seanyung lowered his brows as he watched Bomyu and Paikek fighting childishly.
"Fine, fine. We stop." Paikek couldn't stop breathily laughing while he took the pillow from Bomyu's hands.
"Good. I am still worrying about Karu." Seanyung put the cup of tea back on the table.
"Why don't we find Yonsan before Karu comes back home?" Bomyu suggested as he laid beside Paikek.
"How are we going to do this?" Paikek narrowed his eyes, looking at Seanyung's face.
Unexpectedly, I stopped seeing them, our apartment became blank, and all the objects disappeared. It made me think that my friends might actually be searching for Yonsan. But, it still didn't explain the drops of blood on the walls.
The darkness faded out, ending the visions as I found myself back at the Komorebi park. The calm breeze of the Komorebi park blew onto me.
My phone was in my hand, and the map on it was showing that I was just at the point where one of the blue dots were showing. However, nobody seemed to be around.
On the spur of the moment, something grabbed me from my shoulders, lifting me up to the sky. I feel my blood flowing down in my veins as it took me higher.
I looked up making eye contact with the thing that was carrying me upwards by grabbing me with its legs. It was a giant black dragon with red and blue eyes. Its dark coloured wings were wide open in the air as it lifted me upwards.
"Bring me down!" I yelled, closing my eyes in fear.
The furious dragon turned its giant head to me, it seemed like it listened to me because it suddenly let go of me in the middle of the air.
I began falling from the clouds, feeling my blood flow up in my body as I kept screaming in fear. Death had never been this much close to me.
The clouds were passing by while I was falling at a tremendous speed.
About three or four meters before reaching the ground, I stopped falling when something caught me from the back of my blue hoodie. It began carrying me up, following the dragon.
"You should buy me a cup of chocolate milk for saving you." Paikek's voice sounded with a soft giggle. He was the one who just saved me by grabbing me from my hoodie.
"Paikek? How do you fly?" I questioned but then I saw that he had white angelic wings on his back to help him fly.
"When I saw you fall, my unique magical power got activated and it gave me wings!! Look!" Paikek chuckled as he showed his angelic wings made of feathers.
Without giving me a sign, he flipped around, turning me around him in the air.
At first, I screamed in fear, feeling like I was going to fall again, but then I found myself sitting on Paikek's back, in between his angelic wings.
"Hold on tight, Karu! We have a dragon to tame!" He chuckled in a very cute way, making me smile as well.
He flew faster while I was holding him tightly by his shoulders. We followed the dragon in the gorgeous atmosphere covered with purple and pink clouds. Then, we went faster reaching the same level as the black dragon with blue and red eyes.
The dragon turned its head to us, opened his mouth quickly, releasing a giant glowing fireball. Paikek tilted right, causing the fireball to dodge. It again shot another ball of fire, and Paikek flew down as the fireball missed.
"This was close." I sighed, keeping my eyes on the dragon.
Paikek moved closer to the dragon, flying below it. The dragon rapidly moved one of its wings to us, trying to hit. Consequently, I put my right hand into my bag, while my other hand held Paikek tightly. I brought out my wand from my backpack and pointed it to the approaching wing.
My wand discharged a blue wave of magic. The magic wave pushed the approaching wing away from us.
"Haha! You did it." Paikek chuckled as he flew over the dragon's head.
A wave of clouds made the dragon be out of sight. We were also surrounded by clouds which totally blocked our vision. Suddenly, I saw the dragon's face coming from the clouds and it was so close.
The dragon opened it's mouth shooting another fireball towards us. Paikek hastily flew upwards, missing the fireball. Then he chuckled in joy while the wind was messing up his straight black hair.
Paikek opened his wings wider to get closer to the angry dragon. And, he turned around the dragon while I held him tightly. He widened his wings as he went in front of the dragon without changing his speed.
The dragon came onto us in its maximum speed, we flew downwards almost vertically to the ground. My hands were holding Paikek's shoulders tight enough to hurt him since I was extremely terrified of falling down. On the other hand, the dragon was so close behind us and it was following us.
Two meters before reaching the ground, Paikek changed his direction from downwards to upwards swiftly. I squeezed my eyes shut while we suddenly flew upwards. At the same time, a big crashing noise came from behind.
Paikek eventually slowed down, and I opened my eyes. Once I looked back, I saw nothing but the dragon who was knocked down to the ground. There were scars all over it.
"That was amazing!!" I whooped in joy as Paikek flew me over the purple clouds.
"Isn't it awesome? Right?" He flashed his teeth while he winked.
"I have the location of the others. We should go find them!!!" I checked my phone seeing that the next blue dot was close to us on the map.
"Yay! Let's go!!!" Paikek shouted, widening his wings, and we flew through the clouds towards the darkening sunset.
