Jimin's  P.O.V

I woke up early today and I'm thankful because I can go to school early. It's not like I'm eager to go there, it's more like I'm eager to see her.

Yup, that's right, Rosé.

This girl really knows how to plays hard to get and that's what intrigued me about her.

She doesn't run after me like other girls just because of my looks, instead, she has made me run after her.

This girl is something else.

I shook my head and chuckled at the thought of her annoyed face, she just looks so cute when she is annoyed.

I took a quick shower then changed into my uniform. Running down the stairs, I went towards the kitchen and saw that the maids were already preparing breakfast for me. After a few minutes of waiting, the breakfast was ready and I dug in because I couldn't wait any longer.

"Sir, your parents told me to inform you that they are going on a business trip, so it'll probably take a month for them to come back." One of the maids informed. I just rolled my eyes and nodded at them then continued eating.

Like I care!

I finished my breakfast then slung my bag over my shoulder and made my way out of the house.

I entered my car and started driving towards school. When I reached school, I parked my car in the parking lot then hopped out of it. I entered the school and there weren't many students around, it means I arrived earlier.

My lips curled upward in triumph when an idea sparked in my mind. I know Rosé arrives early just to avoid me but guess what, her plans don't work for me. I looked around the hallway and I think that fate is at my side today, she was standing in front of her locker.

I tiptoed towards her, not making any noise then stood behind her. She was settling her things in the locker, I leaned forward towards her ear and whispered, "Hello, baby."

She jumped and yelped in fright, the books in her hand are now scattered on the floor while she placed one hand on her locker for support and the other one clenched against her chest.

Did I go too far?

But still, I couldn't help but laugh at her reaction, it was hilarious. But it soon faded when I saw tears filling her eyes and soon a tear fell but she quickly wiped it with her sleeve.

I was shocked and felt an immense wave of guilt hit me.

I made her cry.

I didn't know that it'll turn out like this, my intention wasn't to make her cry.

I wanted to apologize but she turned around and was about to leave, I quickly grab her arm to stop her and apologize, "Hey–"

Smack!

She slapped me, I could hear gasps and whispers around us but I didn't care.

I deserve this.

I looked at her and she was looking at me with eyes glistening filled with tears and a furious expression adorning her face. "Do you think it's funny?! Just because I'm weak and don't fight back doesn't mean you can do whatever you want!" She almost yelled at me and I just stood there, shocked at her outburst.

"....When my life already messed up." She muttered but I was still able to hear it. I wanted to ask her what she meant but instead, I let go of her arm because I don't want another slap.

And also, I don't want her to hate me more than she already does.

I was just standing there watching her retreating figure. I think I should just stop teasing her and show her how I actually feel about her. I know it would be difficult but it's worth a try. I no longer want to be the reason behind her cries, it breaks my heart.

I want to be the reason behind her smile.

Author's  P.O.V.

When he turned around while feeling gloomy, he saw someone who made him roll his eyes and walk past her.

But she has other plans, she grabbed his arm and Jimin halted in his steps then glared at her, "It clearly looks like she hates you, why do you even like a cheap girl that clearly doesn't have any interest in you." She mocked him and smirked while he just remains silent, not answering her because it's not worth it.

She sighed, "Why won't you give me a chance? I'm way better than her!" He yanked his arm away from her grasp, "Because you are not her and you can never be like her." Giving her one last glare, he made his way towards his next class.

Jennie was furious at him. 

He's right because I'm totally not like her and would never be like her.

Right now Jennie was so irritated that she just wishes to let her anger out on someone and she's gonna do that to the person who's responsible for all of this.

Meanwhile, Jimin was debating on how to apologize to Rosé and how he should start expressing his feelings. He doesn't care how much time it'll take to win her heart.

I won't give up.

And he can't forget that yesterday incident, he wanted to protect her but he was being a coward, like always.

But not anymore.

Instead, he asked his friend and that friend of his also gave him a very long lecture, that's why he has finally decided to protect her and stop being a coward.

He nodded to himself and soon the class started but Rosé didn't attend the class. It was most unlikely of Rosé to skip a class and then he started feeling guilty that she's probably skipping because of him.

She's avoiding me.

He kept glancing at the seat beside him. He missed her presence and teasing her, the way she would get annoyed which he always found cute.

Just thinking about these thoughts brought a smile to his face, he couldn't apologize earlier but he will surely do it in the lunch break. He can't wait to see her and was impatiently waiting for the lunch break to come and get him out of his misery.

The bell rang and Rosé walked towards her locker, she didn't attend any classes because of him.

She is tired of his games and after that slap, she knows that she'll be in big trouble, that's why she didn't dare to attend any class, but sooner or later she has to face him and that's what she feared the most.

When she opened her locker, a piece of paper fell from it. She tilted her head in confusion then picked that piece of paper and read it; 'Meet me in girls restroom'

She was shocked and confused, there was no name written on it and it was creepy. She looked at her surroundings and everyone was busy with their friends. She sighed, thinking if she should go or not.

She chooses to go because she doesn't have anything to do and also, it's a great way to avoid Jimin.

What if he's the one who is calling me?

But why would Jimin call her in the girl's restroom? She shook her head from growing into further thoughts and made her way towards the girl's restroom.

Every step made her nervous. When she reached there, she hesitantly opened the door and entered the restroom. As soon as she entered, someone slammed the door shut behind her.

She jumped in surprise and looked at the person who did this; it was Haeun while Jennie was putting red lipstick on her lips in front of the mirror. When Areum saw her, she smirked and made her way towards Rosé while Jennie's friends were standing beside her towering over Rosé.

Rosé backed away, while they came closer to her, and soon she was finally trapped between them. Her back was pressed against the wall with Haeun and Areum on either side of her and Jennie in front of her.

Beads of sweat form on Rosé's face, she was a nervous wreck and this situation wasn't giving her any good vibes.

Jennie roughly grabbed her chin, "I warned you to stay away from him but you didn't listen." She gritted, Rosé was about to open her mouth but Jennie slapped her real hard. Rosé tried to hold back her tears and Jennie was getting annoyed just by looking at her face.

Jennie harshly grabbed her hair and Rosé yelped in pain, "I told you to stay away from him but you underestimated me, so that's what you get for not listening to me!" She harshly let go of her hair and again slaps her real hard.

Rosé was holding back the tears while cradling her cheek with one hand. She wanted to fight back but she knew that it will only worsen the situation and they were three against her single self, fate wasn't on her side.

What did I do to deserve this?

Jennie signaled her friends and they nodded. They grabbed either side of Rosé's arms and Jennie was smirking at the state of Rosé.

She punched the poor girl in the stomach, "No one dares to touch what's mine! and yet you slapped him!"

She gave another punch and Rosé was already crying in pain. Soon after, they threw her on the floor and started kicking her everywhere, not letting the poor girl breathe.

While they were all busy beating her, they didn't notice the commotion outside the restroom. Some were just standing there with shock while some enjoying the show and some making videos.

Meanwhile, Jimin ran towards the rooftop to find her because he wants to apologize but she wasn't there.

Where else she could be?

He ran towards her locker but she wasn't there too.

Where could she possibly be?

He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. He has this heavy feeling in his heart but shrugged it off because finding her was his priority.

He ran through the hallway and there were just a few students, it was strange because the hallway is mostly full at the end of lunch break.

While he was walking, he saw a commotion outside the girl's restroom so he decided to check but with every step he took towards the crowd, that heavy feeling in his heart increased.

I hope it has nothing to do with her.

He made his way through the crowd to see what was happening and fortunately, no one even noticed his presence because they were so immersed in the show.

When he finally went through the crowd, he saw what was happening. His breath caught in his throat, his heart sank at the sight of her, while others were just standing there and doing nothing.

He gained his senses, "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?!" He growled at them, startling everyone. It surely got everyone's attention.

Everyone froze at their places, it was like time has stopped. They were all getting nervous because firstly, Jimin's uncle owns this school and he can easily expel anyone. Secondly, no one has seen him this angry and it was very scary.

Jennie and her friends were also frozen while Rosé was a mess, she was covered with bruises and her uniform was ripped from a lot of places. His face was getting red with anger and the veins in his neck were also getting visible.

"You! Get out of here before I do something to you!" He growled lowly while giving Jennie a death glare. She tried to protest, "But–" he was shaking from anger at this point, "I said, GET OUT!" He yelled at her and she jumped from his outburst.

She didn't utter anything afterward while lowering her head she walks past him while her friends trailing behind her.

He turned towards the crowd while giving them a death glare. "How can you all act like nothing is happening here, watching her getting beaten up and quietly standing there doing nothing. Is this some kind of a show for your entertainment, don't you have any ounce of humanity?!" He snapped and they all looked down.

Jimin gave his last warning, "If I saw something like this again, you all know the consequences. And what are you all still doing here, didn't have enough?!" Everyone lowered their heads and soon the crowd dispersed.

He will take care of those videos they have made, but for now, she was his priority.

He rushed towards her and kneeled then removes his blazer and wraps it around her petite figure. He carefully pulled her in his embrace, "I-I'm so sorry, it's all my fault." His tone was much softer than before. He carefully tightens his hold around her, a bit.

He felt his chest getting wet, he looked down only to see her crying while lightly punching his chest, "Why me....? Why always me....?" It ached his heart to see her like this and he kept saying sorry, saying it was his fault that he couldn't protect her.

Rosé was also surprised by his behavior but soon her eyes were getting heavier and darkness was starting to surround her while hearing her name being called. She fell unconscious in his arms.

Jimin panicked while calling her name but didn't get any response. He shook her body a bit but still no response. He carefully lifted her body in his arms; one arm around her shoulders while the other under her knees. He ran towards the infirmary.

I hope nothing serious happened to her.

Aww, poor Rosé 😖

Please don't take this scene seriously, I love Jennie, I just think she suits the vibe of this character. It doesn't mean I'm implying to her as a bully. The real Jennie is an angel. Hope you guys understand.

I've changed Irene into Jennie, so if you guys see Irene written anywhere, let me know so I can fix it.

Now you guys know Jimin's true feelings.
