Rosé P.O.V.

"How many times do I have to tell you not to be late, you are taking advantage of my patience, Chaeyoung!"

I just looked down and apologized, "Sorry, sir! this will not happen again."

He shook his head, "It's not the first time you've said that and I'm getting tired of your excuses, as a punishment you will clean the kitchen and all the tables and also, I'm putting half of your pay!"

My eyes widened and my head shot up towards his direction, I tried to defend myself, "But sir–" he put his hand in front of me, indicating for me to stop talking and I did.

"No buts and if this continues I will have no choice but to fire you!" He said with finality in his tune. I sighed and nodded because I really need this job.

Why I'm late? it's all because of that jerk.

Park Jimin.

He always has his ways to make me late for work but I know that he doesn't even know that I have to attend these jobs, but still half of the fault is his.

I shook my head from further thoughts and got to work.

Nighttime came and I was still working. I wiped the sweat on my forehead then started cleaning the tables, everyone has left and I'm still working here.

It's getting late and I also have to finish homework, thankfully it was my last job to attend then I can go home. I haven't visited Mom too.

I hope she's doing well.

I quickly cleaned the tables so I can go home early. After finishing work, I changed into my casual clothes then made sure to lock the front door, and finally, I can go home now.

After reaching home I looked for food but there was nothing but a pack of ramen.

Sigh.

I guess I have to deal with it. After eating and cleaning, I made my way towards my room and started doing my homework.

It was midnight now and I was really sleepy but there was still some work to be done. My eyes were getting heavier and before I knew it, I fell asleep.

I woke up due to the sunlight that came from the window and was interrupting my sleep.

I sat up and groaned because my back and neck hurt and that's when I realize that I slept while studying. I stood up and stretched my body then made my way towards the bathroom.

After taking a shower and freshening myself up, I made my way towards the kitchen for breakfast but I couldn't find anything and that's when I realized that I need to buy groceries.

Groaning, I changed into my uniform and locked the house then started walking towards the school.

When I reached school there weren't many students and I was early today, so I thought I should just chill around before that devil appears.

As I was walking down the hallway, suddenly someone grabbed my arm and pinned me against the wall, my breath caught in my throat. Instinctively, I tightly shut my eyes.

After a few seconds I felt a blew on my nose, I scrunched my nose and slowly opened my eyes just to see him smirking at me.

Speaking of the devil, here he is.

"What do you want, Jimin?" I asked annoyingly, his smirk grew wider and he started leaning closer. He was getting so close that it made me squirm, I was shocked by his behavior but still got the courage to ask, "W-What are you d-doing?"

He didn't say anything and continued leaning closer, I was getting flustered, my heart was beating fast, so I closed my eyes tightly.

I think he is near my ear because I can feel his breath on my ear. I gasp at the foreign feeling.

"Gotcha!" He whispered, I was dumbfounded at first and when I fluttered my eyes open, he was trying to control his laughter.

He let go of me and burst into laughter, "You should have seen the look on your face, it was hilarious." He continued laughing and then I heard others whispering and laughter. I was getting embarrassed and angry but I didn't know what to do.

Why are you like this Jimin?

I was already tired because I couldn't sleep well last night and here he is making fun of me. I was way too embarrassed and tired, I didn't have enough energy to argue back, so I ignored him and others then started walking to get away from these people.

But you know, the devil is a devil, he slammed his hand in front of me on the wall beside me, and I flinched at his action. He smirked, "Where do you think you're going, huh?"

Oh, how I would love to wipe this smirk off his face.

Author's P.O.V

Rosé was tired of this drama, she sighed, "Jimin, please.....just stop." Jimin also noticed her sad and tired self so he removed his arm.

She also didn't waste any time running away from there, before he could grab her arm someone grabbed his.

He looked at the owner of the hand who grabbed his arm and it was no other than her.

What does she want now?

"What do you want now, Jennie?" He was getting annoyed just by her presence and she was getting angry because of his behavior towards her.

She calmed herself down, "I want to talk to you, alone." Jimin tried to pull his arm so he could walk away but her grip tightened on his arm.

"There is nothing to talk about, now let me go!" He said irritatingly, she shook her head, "Not after you listen to me!" She gritted.

He sighed and ran his other hand through his hair then reluctantly nodded while she smirked slightly which he didn't notice.

They reached the rooftop and now were facing each other.

Jimin broke the silence between them, "What did you want to talk about?"

She took a step closer to him, "I want to know the reason behind the rejection, am I not pretty enough for you?" She asked as he sighed in annoyance, "Is that what you wanted to talk about? If that's it, I'm going." He was about to walk away but she said something which made him halt in his steps.

"You like her, don't you?" He turned around and faced her while raising an eyebrow, "Her?" She walked closer to him, "You like that nerd, right?!" She gritted, he was taken aback by her question but gained his confidence, "What if I do! it's none of your business!" He snapped.

He left from there while she was cursing, "If you're going to do this the hard way then I'll also do this as you please."

How dare he reject me!

She will make sure that he will only look at her. She stomped her foot and walked towards her friends so they can make her feel better.

Meanwhile, Rosé walked up to the library and when she reached there, she saw someone that brought a slight smile on her face.

He was focused on his book and she couldn't help but stare at him. It didn't help that he was sitting next to a window and the rays of the sun that cascaded down on him, made him look like a manga character.

She walked up to his table and cleared her throat, he looked up at her and she was getting nervous, "C-Can I sit here?" He nodded and continued reading his book.

She sat across him and took out her books then started reading. She tried to study but couldn't, how could she, when her crush was right in front of her. She kept glancing at him occasionally and thankfully he didn't notice.

For her, Taehyung was different from other boys, he was kind, cute, and mysterious. He was indeed mysterious because nobody knows about him that much.

I bet even his friends don't know that much about him.

While she was starring at him, he was looking outside the window. She noticed the way he was looking outside, it was different from the way he usually looks at someone and she didn't miss that slight smile formed on his face.

She was shocked because it was her first time seeing Taehyung like this.

He doesn't smile much, at least not like that.

She followed his gaze and saw something or more like someone which made her sad. He was looking at Jennie while she was chatting and laughing with her friends.

Rosé was sad because who wouldn't like Jennie, after all, she was just a nerd but Jennie was something that every boy wanted and every girl in this school envied.

She knew she wasn't as pretty as her and today for the first time, she envied her. Rosé couldn't help but feel disappointed in herself and she felt like crying. She thought that maybe he liked her after all the times he has helped her but how wrong she was.

I'm nothing but a nerd.

She walked away from there because she couldn't bear it anymore. When she reached her class, Jimin was already sitting in his seat. She sat beside him and folded her arms on the table then buried her face in them.

Jimin noticed her gloominess and wanted to ask her, why was she like this but didn't have enough courage to do so. He thought that he will not bother her today.

Just today.

Rosé was grateful of him because he didn't bother her during the class. Jimin was glancing at her from time to time because she was getting sleepy but she still tried to concentrate. And.....she slept in a sitting position.

Jimin noticed that she fell asleep during class and he didn't want to wake her up because she really looked exhausted, but he was also afraid that what if their teacher caught her.

But unfortunately, the teacher saw her, "Chaeyoung, are you sleeping in my class?" Jimin nudged her with his elbow and she woke up.

She was confused as to why the whole class, plus the teacher was looking at her.

Jimin saw the confused look on her face and found it cute but he has to take the situation into his hands, "She wasn't sleeping, it is just her glasses that reflected like she was sleeping." He reasoned out and fortunately the teacher seems to bought his lie because they don't have much choice but to obey him.

Jimin has a higher position in this school and no one dares to disobey him.

Rosé was shocked and confused as to why Jimin defended her but then shrugged it off because she knew he must be up to something or he'll want something in return for helping her.

Typical Jimin.

But she was wrong, Jimin really didn't bother her during their other classes, she felt like something was going to happen to her. But if Jimin isn't bothering her then who?
