Jungkook was strolling down the hallway, his hands in his pocket and a hint of a smile playing on his lips as his thoughts wander around to a particular someone.

He can imagine her excited face when she sees him entering the class and he has to stop himself from chuckling at her cuteness.

He shook his head, his lips curling upward a bit more.

"Dude, where is Jacob?" A male voice came which was a bit loud for Jungkook's liking.

He decided to ignore them but the reply he heard made him halt in his steps.

"He said he's going to ask out the new girl, maybe he's there." Jungkook tensed up and his brows frowned.

It's not who I think it is, right?

He shook his head for any negative thoughts, there might be some other new girl that he doesn't know of.

But what he heard next made his heart sank.

"The new girl? An in......Lisa?" When he heard the positive reply from the other guy, he whipped his head towards their direction and his frown deepened.

He didn't like them.

He once had a conflict with one of them and it was Jacob—a famous jock, he was harassing some girl and Jungkook couldn't help but to butt in and grace him with a few punches so he learns his lesson.

But it was a long time ago so it's doubtful that he's doing it for revenge because now everyone knows something is going between Jungkook and Lisa, its hard not to see when they are this obvious.

Jungkook's heart started beating fast as pessimistic thoughts started to bombard his mind.

He broke into sprints.

Just the thought of them standing beside each other broke his heart into pieces. He couldn't let this happen, how can he when he finally found a reason to look forward in his life, when finally his dull life has been painted with her colors.

He loves her.

Love can be the most beautiful thing you have ever experienced, it can take you on cloud nine, can make you feel high but it can also be lethal, devastating, to the point where you don't wanna breathe anymore.

Panting heavily, he reached his class and frantically looked around to see if she was here but she wasn't.

Where is she?

They came together as always but Jungkook got a bit busy with his hyungs because they needed his help.

Now he regrets staying away from her too long.

He left from there and looks around in search of Lisa or Jacob but couldn't find them.

He stops a student to ask him about them, "Have you seen Lisa or Jacob anywhere?" Jungkook's hair was sticking to his forehead as he was breathing heavily with a frown etched on his face.

Jungkook was pretty known around the school so everyone knew him which also bought Lisa's attention because she was always beside him.

The guy got intimidated by him, "I-I think I have s-seen them g-going towards the r-rooftop."

Jungkook's face dropped.

What are they doing there?

Without answering the guy, he ran towards there as if his life depended on it.

He stood outside the door while panting, taking a deep breath to encourage himself, he opened the door.

The scene in front of him broke his heart.

Jacob hugged her, "Thank you, thank you so much. You don't how much happy you made me."

Jungkook could feel as if someone his squeezing his heart till it starts bleeding.

He couldn't look at them anymore so he turned around and left from there, heartbroken.

It's all my fault.

Maybe if I wasn't that harsh on her from the start, or talked a bit calmly, she would've been mine already

But fate always plays cruel games on us and we can't do anything but let the time heal us.

His shoulder slumped down, his eyes which were sparkling a while ago were now dull, he dragged his feet down the stairs because he felt as if someone has sucked all the energy out of him.

The bell rang and it was a dismissal, he was glad because he didn't have the strength to attend any lecture.

He walked out of the school lifelessly when suddenly he heard a voice which made his dead heart start besting again.

"Jungkook! Wait for me!" He doesn't know why but he still waited for her to reach him.

"Why are you in such a hurry, you always wait for me, you know I can't walk home alone..." She rambled on but he didn't hear anything afterward, he just couldn't.

He walked silently as she kept talking, but this time he wasn't paying attention to her talks, he was deep In his own world.

"Jungkook!"

He snapped out of his trance as he felt himself being dragged towards the footpath.

"I have been calling your name but you weren't listening. The car was going to run over you!" He looked down at her tear-filled eyes as she looked at him worriedly.

But why?

"Don't do that again, what if something happened to you." And her tears fell as she wrapped her arms around him, sobbing on his chest.

Look, you made her cry yet again.

He slowly raised his hands and wrapped them around her waist as he buries his head in his neck, inhaling her scent to calm himself down and get his shit together.

"Shhh, I'm okay, don't worry." Softly speaking to calm her down, he stroked her hair.

Suddenly, the rain started to pour yet she didn't move from there and kept hugging him. He wasn't complaining at all.

After a while, he was getting worried for her, "Let's go home, you'll get sick if you continue to stand here."

She finally pulls away with a red nose and cheeks, sniffling as she scrunched her nose cutely making his heart melt.

He couldn't stop his hand, it moved on its own and tucked her hair which was sticking to her face, behind her ear.

"You can get sick too!" She frowned as he only talked about her as if his health didn't matter.

He slightly smiles at her frown and pout.

"I don't get sick easily."

She nodded, still not fully convinced with his answer.

He's just trying to act tough, everyone gets sick.

They started to walk towards her home which was near.

Before Jungkook could stop himself, he sneaked his fingers beside hers and entangled their hands together.

Lisa looked a bit surprised at his action as she looked up at him but he kept looking straight, not able to look into her eyes.

She smiled shyly as a blush crept upon her cheeks.

They reached her home and rushed inside completely drenched.

Her parents weren't home as they went to visit her grandma and the thought of her being alone with Jungkook made her gulp.

She pushed aside that thought.

"I think my father's cloth might fit you, you can change into them." He nodded as she ran inside and he welcomed himself inside her room without her permission.

She came back and looked through the living room but he wasn't there, she saw the water on the floor and followed its trail and it reached her room.

She entered to see him removing his blazer, his shirt buttons looked like they will pop out any minute. She looked away immediately and cleared her throat, not directly looking at him.

She brought her hand towards his direction, "H-Here!"

He snatched the t-shirt and shorts from her hand with some force which made her stumble closer to him.

Her flustered self made him smirk, he was enjoying it a bit too much, totally forgetting about his sadness a while ago.

She has me wrapped around her finger yet she doesn't know the impact she has on me.

With a smirk, he left to the bathroom and she let out a breath as if she could finally breathe.

The tension between them was too much that it felt hard to breathe.

With cheeks flushed, she picked an outfit for her and ran towards her parent's bathroom to shower.

After showering, she came out towel drying her hair, she threw the towel in the basket and walked up to her room to ask him if he wanted to eat something.

She didn't want to cook, so she decided to order take-out, she wanted to ask what would he like to eat.

She walked up to the bathroom door and raised her hand to knock when suddenly the door opened and there he stood in all his might with only shorts, towel drying his hair with one and shirtless.

Her jaw dropped at the sight.

"Close your mouth before I decide to close it my way." Her eyes widened at his words.

Was there something in the shower? He looks like a totally different person.

She closed her mouth and looked down before he caught her staring at his abs.

"I-I was going ordering some food, w-what would you like to have?" She asked and fiddled with her fingers, biting her lower lip.

He stepped closer, which made her look up at him, "Anything, as long as you're available in the menu." He smirked in her direction and she turned all shades of red.

What's with him, why is he being so flirty?

Jungkook himself was also shocked at his actions, but his heart couldn't stop because he wanted to see if he had this effect on her like she did on him and the satisfaction of seeing her reaction woke up his inner beast.

After seeing her and Jacob, something stirred inside him and he didn't want to stop because he doesn't lose and he definitely doesn't want to lose from a loser like Jacob.

He stepped forward and she stepped back, he kept walking until her back touched the wall and he took this chance to place his hands on the wall, trapping her.

She placed her hands on his shoulders, feeling his skin against her palms, making her stomach churn in a weird yet good way.

She tried to push him but her body and mind betrayed her and just let her hands rest on him.

He leaned his face down to her level, both kept gazing into each other's eyes, drowning them in the depth of it.

"J-Jungkook, What are yo—" her sentence got stuck in her throat as he moves his face towards her ear, his lips merely touching her ear making her let out a gasp.

She clutches his shoulders when his hot breath fans her ear, making her squirm in her place.

Breathing heavily, the tension fills the air. "Do you enjoy seeing me in misery?" He whispers as he nuzzled his nose in her neck making her bite her lower lip to stop her from making any noise.

"Why do you always test my patience?" He pulled back his head and now their faces were inches away.

He saw the confusion on her face and decided to come clean, "Why did you let him near you? Why didn't you push him away when he hugged you? Why did you let this happen?"

First, she was confused then she realized what he was talking about.

Did he saw together? Is that why he was so off after dismissal.

"You mean Jacob?" She asked to confirm and he clenched his jaw at his name but bitterly nodded.

"O-Oh, he wanted my help to ask Elisabeth out." Jungkook blinked a few times, digesting the new information.

All this time I was mourning over nothing but a misunderstanding?

He sighed in relief, "So you don't like him?" He looked at her with hopeful eyes that she couldn't help but smile.

She nodded.

He placed his head on her shoulder to hide his excitement as he let out a breathy chuckle while smiling at his stupidity.

He pulled his face towards her and his smiling face took her breath away, she has never seen him smiling so fully that she was mesmerized.

He looks so different yet so good.

Her smile involuntarily came while seeing his, this moment felt so good that both wished they would forever be like this, smiling always.

He placed his forehead on hers, "You drive me crazy."

She shyly looked down as her whole face was as red as a tomato and he couldn't control himself anymore so he pecked her lips.

Her eyes widened as she looked up at him only to find him smiling softly at her.

She was too shy that she buried her face in his chest and wrapped her arms around him, feeling secure and warm.

He didn't hesitate to return the gesture.

She's mine and I'm hers. I will make sure everyone knows it.

Sorry for the late update, Wattpad wasn't letting me update for a few days, and it's my third time writing this chapter.

This is the late chapter, I can't believe this book is completed too. 😭
