"hyung, what could happen?" chan was worrying a lot once the police showed up at the front door. soonyoung was extremely nervous on the other hand, but he was trying to keep himself together. "I probably would be in jail, but jiwoo attacked minseul and that makes me allowed to defend her. if we get charged, i'm getting a lawyer."

"there's like five witnesses here," minghao added, "no, we won't let them charge us for this. jiwoo has been breaking a lot of laws."

i let out a sigh, "her family is powerful though. we got a huge problem with that."

"criminal act article 21 states that an act which is informed in order to prevent impending and unjust infringement of one's own or another person's legal interest shall not be punishable if there are reasonable grounds for that act," chan stated, and that was already enough to shut our mouths up

"how did you know that?" jihoon asked

"assignment," chan smiled "i'm learning!!"

the boys and i stayed on the couch as the cops had a talk with soonyoung. then the paramedics took care of jiwoo, taking her to the ambulance and doing whatever they can to provide medical assistance. one of the nurses asked chan about what happened, but the boy shied away so minghao had to answer for him.

i couldn't keep still. it was a bad idea to get pizza, if we didn't order then we would all be sleeping peacefully at this hour. chan nudged me and pointed at soonyoung, who looked like he was handling the situation quite well. "i hope this turns out well for him," the boy told me as he clung to my arm.

jihoon stood next to soonyoung while he conversed with the authorities. he was continuously nodding to whatever the officer was saying, making seungkwan laugh.

"jihoon hyung looks like kid trying to eavesdrop."

" well whatever they're talking about, i bet it's some heavy stuff," i muttered "i should go check out on the outside for a bit."

"hold on, take me with you!" minghao jumped off the countertop and ran to catch up with me outside.

jiwoo was laying down, with an oxygen mask as the others were busy doing stuff that i don't understand. obviously, I'm not well educated wit these things.

i walked closer to the girl, although hao told me not to. she weakly craned her neck to my direction and held my hand.

"you know i'm sorry for what soonyoung did to you but i still hate you a lot," i told her

she took the mask off, "i can't live without you."

i barely noticed that jiwoo was still holding onto me until her nails started digging on my skin. i let out a whimper and minghao noticed in an instant. he immediately slapped her arm away and i took a few steps back, looking at my own wrist, seeing red marks all over.

"she's wild," hao whispered and put his arm around my shoulder to drag me away "let's go back there shall we?"

"minseul i love you!" jiwoo shouted

"too bad, she doesn't!" minghao shouted back. when we reached the house, the cops were already preparing to leave and both soonyoung and jihoon looked stressed as hell.

hao clasped his hand with soonyoung's, "dude what happened?"

"no charges, but they're still going to investigate on this one," the boy replied "i almost told them a little too much but jihoon covered up for me."

"well if it isn't kwon spoiler," jihoon shook his head.

a few minutes after everyone had left, soonyoung gathered all of us in the living room. we were seated on the floor, in a circle.

"okay so," he scratched the back of his head "no one would probably end up in jail, luckily....and there's no need for a lawyer unless jiwoo files a case against me."

"i don't think she will," chan uttered "i mean, her parents know about her obsession but i don't think they know everything. i don't think they know that their daughter is following people around at night and literally breaking in their homes."

"yeah, unless her parents are fucked up too," seungkwan agreed "hey don't you think we should get someone to talk to her parents about this? like, anonymously? just to know if they are aware or not."

"nah i doubt jiwoo would want her parents to know that she's down for fucking girls," i replied "she literally told me that and i was scared as hell!!"

"she told you that!?" chan was surprised, then he started balling his fists

i slowly nodded, "she did. but she couldn't anyway."

"should we call this a night?" jihoon yawned "i mean, it's almost 4am and we got school later, if y'all forgot."
