the next morning, we all gathered at jihoon's place again. today's their last practice and jeonghan was finally there to dance with them. i gotta say, it was real awkward. during break times, jeonghan would just rest and drink water at the corner of the room while the other boys joke around with each other.

he was not smiling and nobody dared to even look or talk to him except for hoshi, junhui and minghao because they had to assist him with the choreography. dino, although part of the performance team, told soonyoung to not let him teach jeonghan anything.

there are times when jeonghan would catch me looking at him but he just stares away to avoid.

hours passed and i decided to take a look at the number of views seventeen's teaser video has. and wow, it reached 1k already and about 200 comments

wow, look at all the hate comments, especially that kkaerryperry user. with that barney photo, i bet she's in elementary and that's the first time she ever said stfu. i can just see her 5 year old self thinking that it's the best roast she can comment on a teaser video. imagine her baby hands shaking in so much adrenaline.

the only user commenting good stuff is seokmeme but that doesn't really count because i'm pretty sure it's dokyeom.

for real, there's a fuck ton of hate comments directed towards seoksoon and chan (because he edited the video) i mean, there's clearly nothing wrong with the teaser but a lot of people claim that they're disappointed because they expected a lot from seventeen. yeah i expected some good mindblowing shit too but tHIS IS BETTER THAN I EXPECTED

"so hey," chan caught my attention as he sat beside me "lots of people hate me again."

"i don't. does that make me inhuman?" i chuckled

"i hope we win because we really need points. jeonghan hyung is not exerting any effort at all and it just makes the performance look like it's lacking a lot."

at this point, i didn't know how to help the group anymore. chan went back to practice and they all continued to work until lunch while i just watched their video again and again. wanna one has 9k views already and svt is still stuck at 1k. the official day of evaluation will be tomorrow at exactly 12pm. than means, the additional views the video gets after 12pm the next day will not be considered.

lunch time

"we got 2k now!" soonyoung told everyone

"full of hate comments though," seungcheol muttered

"come on, at least we have the most unique teaser. nobody could do that because they care a lot about their image," minghao replied "let's just wait until we get to 10k."

"i don't think we'll get there," mingyu shook his head,

the boys continued to have their lunch, talking about how they could increase the views. alhough jeonghan was with them, he chose to stay quiet as he sat beside the youngest boy who couldn't even look at him.

"yo chan, can you pass the water please?"

dino knew that the jug was at his left side, where jeonghan was. he carefully took it without looking to his left before passing it to his other hyung. at that point, it was clearly obvious to the rest that dino is completely avoiding jeonghan.

"so," the maknae started "minseul, did you have a hard time arranging clap?"

what? why is he suddenly asking me about this

"yeah but the leaders helped me with ideas so it was okay," i answered

"man, i really wish you'll make it big someday. that's like my biggest wish for you!" he told me in front of everyone "too bad someone has to take it away."

oh right i see where this is going.

"you know, on some airlines, they make overweight people buy an extra seat. but it's even worse for someone i know because he's not overweight but he has to buy an extra for his ego," chan added

"umm..." junhui muttered, feeling the awkward atmosphere. jeonghan looked like he was disrespected for the first time in his entire life. but for real, nobody expected the maknae to say such things. complete silence covered the room before chan started talking again

"i'll always appreciate how low people nowadays set the bar for a good behavior but oh well, i guess i have to be sorry for the mean, hurtful and accurate things i mentioned," he said as he finished the food "that's all that i have to say." he stood up, thanked mingyu for the food then walked away.

jeonghan didn't say a word. he just kept eating while the rest of the boys exchanged stares in secret.

"that shit was good," seungkwan whispered to me as we ate quietly. the tight atmosphere lasted until they all had to practice clap again. but this time, without the leaders because they were off to take it easy and save energy for their first performance. chan refused to practice as well and good thing soonyoung let him stay with them for he knows that the young boy is the member who has practiced a lot already.

because i have nothing else to do but constantly stream the video, i stayed with the four boys in jihoon's studio where they started talking about jeonghan again.

"i hate him, why does he have to join us in clap?" dino whined as seungcheol fixed his hair

"because seventeen isn't seventeen without him," the leader replied "i know it sucks but that's the truth we all can't deny."

"i can deny," jihoon crossed his arms

"he took away minseul's chance," chan continued "he's so selfish!"

"it's not a big deal to me, don't worry," i answered "i will make sure not to miss it when another chance passes by."

"but-"

"trust me, it's okay."

"i appreciate what you did for the sake of the group being complete," seungcheol told me "it's not easy to give up your dream for uhh a bunch of idiots."

"i am not an idiot," jihoon uttered

a few hours later, i checked on the video comments again and hate was still overflowing. a few nice comments appeared but it was dominated by the negative. ugh when will these people learn how to identify a masterpiece?  soonyoung sat beside me and laughed out loud because i was still watching their video. well, he can't blame me if i really want the teaser to blow up and get to rank 1.

honestly, the views go up quite fast because if you look at the list of teasers, only svt has a different thumbnail. and it sure makes other people curious of what the video is going to be. i bet they'll get to the top ten videos by tomorrow.
