Your family lives (prt 1)
So now going forward there is likely to be spoilers from Naruto as a series. I won't be purposely putting them there, but its very possible they'll be involved at some point for example Itachi talking about his family or certain someone's arms being blown off. Just a heads up.
I will not be responsible for ruining the anime if you haven't watched it all from this point on!!!!!
Also, I'm going to write down on a paper all the villages and then roll a dice to decide which village (name) is from. I do plan on this being different for most of the different relationships just like the personalities of each reader-chan is different. With the exception of the reader in Kisame's...cuz I'm a selfish bitch so I choose XDDDD
These took up 22 pages in word. WTF did i do?! XD
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kisame:
Kisame had entered the bedroom eager to lavish you in affection from being away on a mission for a good week. But when he opened the door, he saw you packing a bag. Imeadiately, he thought the worst. This was it, you had enough of him and were leaving him. He knew it'd come one day...but he always hoped for more time. Of course, he wanted more time...it's the only time someone's been so attentive to his feelings in his entire life. But once that thought passed an uglier one rose. How were you going to leave the base alive? His heart sank. Pein would order him and the others to murder you to ensure that you couldn't be used against them.
He had to stop you – if only to save your life. He'd have to live with you hating him.
He rushed forward and, from behind you, grabbed your hands mid packing.
"(name), you can't go. Please, if you can't stay with me then fine. Just, just don't throw away your life. You know Pein won't let you leave this place alive" he begged. His voice sounded fucking awful. Fuck. He didn't want you to leave him...!
You paused your packing a confused look crossed your face as you looked up at your love.
"Kisame...? What are you talking about???" you frowned at him "Pein said that I could go"
Kisame wanted to shatter into a million pieces. He'd be sad shark confetti all over the place to be scattered by the wind.
"h-he what...?" he choked out
"my grandma gave Tsunade-sama a message for me." You explained turning in his arms.
Now he was even more confused. You had a grandma???
Seeing the confusion, you smiled and pulled his hand gently to the bed and cuddled up with him to explain
"Tsunade-sama met my grandma and I when I was really little yeah? And she kept running into us over the years."
"so that's why she was so attached to you. I thought it was odd considering you told me before that you weren't from the leaf" Kisame nodded slowly. He had asked if you were from the leaf on the way back home after he broke you out of their intel hold.
"I'm actually from the Mist" you giggled as you saw him to a triple take
"no. I'd have figured that out from how you act!" he protested
"well, I never was formally trained." You shrugged "my family is from the outskirts of the land of water and usually nobody bothered the area. We have an odd kekki genkai and from what grandma told me, there was only 3 members from the clan that ever worked for the hidden mist. But because of that..."
"they hunted the rest of you, right?" he frowned moving some hair out of your face
"well, I guess. I was too little. Nobody ever really explained it. But we had to go on the move. Hence why we kept running into Tsunade-sama. From what I know...there's only a handful of the clan left. And we had settled near the leaf village for a long time, since Tsunade-sama had urged us to. She meant well...but Orochimaru had taken an interest...and I thought my grandma died. I mean....i saw her go down...!"
You felt his strong arms wrap you up further to make sure you understood you felt safe as you continued the story
"well, anyways. I just kept moving on my own... and then there was the day I bumped into you!" you grinned up at him " and boy am I lucky you kept coming by that dango shop I worked at...or else I wouldn't be here with you now!"
Kisame rolled his eyes at you but pecked your cheek
"you mean, we're lucky Itachi loves Dango so damn much that I could keep coming back to see you" he corrected playfully – although you had no doubt that that was how he convinced the Uchiha to keep heading back to the same sweets parlor.
"but, I guess she survived. I don't even know everything there is about my clan's power...she had asked Tsunade-sama to get in touch with me...and I guess she sent out word to someone here? Pein didn't tell me how the message got to him." You shrugged not really caring either – you just wanted to see your grandma.
"what if it's a trick to get your power?" Kisame pointed out "just stay here"
"what if its my grandma? I miss her really badly Kisame" you countered
Somehow...Kisame felt like this was divine retribution for that long mission he had to take before...
"...can I come with you?" he asked after a few moments of jut watching you continuing to pack
"yup!" you grinned jumping up and clinging to his larger frame "already asked Pein too!"
Kisame smiled down at you. Of course you already thought about that...
It took you a good 3 weeks for you and Kisame to make it to your homeland. The village was small and mostly still abandoned and in disrepair. But there was a few villagers about. Each and every, single one of them stared at you as you went by. And while you paid them no mind...Kisame curiously and wearily regarded them. In several individuals he could see similarities to your form and face.
"I think we're in the right area" he mumbled to you but still refused to allow any give between your forms.
"I kinda remember this place...there used to be a willow here" you said quietly back pointing at a large hole that had filled with water from the recent weather. "and if I remember right...we'd go past the willow in a circle-" you circled the hole "then..." you looked up to see a small path between run down homes.
Kisame followed you without a protest interested in you finally opening up about your past to him.
"turn right at the bush" you paused briefly at the circle of little stones – which was once a marking around the flower bush to keep it 'safe' from others. Then immediately turned right and rushed off a bit.
Kisame stayed as close as he could, but you were being a bit unpredictable. But you soon stopped, frozen in place.
"what's wrong?" he asked closing in and settling a hand on Samehada's hilt
"that's it" you breathed.
Before you was a long house. There was a small porch and little shells lined either side of the pathway to the door. On either sides used to be flowers...long since wilted and died.
"is that your home?" he asked relaxing a bit as he watched you slowly crept up the walkway. You paused a good 5 ft away from him then turned and held out your hand for him. Smiling, he gently took your hand "are you ready??"
"...don't leave me on my own okay?" you asked feeling very self-conscious. What if she didn't like who you were now...? Kisame nodded
You walked up to the door and fought back the door – although when he saw it was giving you more trouble than it was worth, Kisame pushed the door aside for you.
The moment you entered the building you heard pattering feet and saw something only you would witness.
"can't catch me~" your younger self screamed in giggling fit rushing by the entrance and off down the hall another child chasing behind you.
You followed the memory to a door, to which Kisame pushed it aside once more and revealed a surprised old woman.
Long hair tied back into a bun and then the excess trailing down in a single braid, the woman – mid sip, looked up at you with squinted (e/c) eyes
"well, do you plan on gawking there all day...or are you going to sit with your grandmother and introduce me to this friend of yours?" she raised a brow "I didn't raise you to be so rude"
It was a playful remark but nonetheless you rushed to sit down and dragged your poor boyfriend for the ride.
Hidan:
"and where the fuck do you think you're going?"
Hidan's voice came from somewhere behind you as you packed a small bag.
"I got a message from my Father – er well..."
"you have actual fucking family...?" Hidan asked raising a brow but sat down on the bed next to you as you had stopped packing and just explained properly
"well, I thought my father died. Tsunade-sama has constantly bumped into us over the years so we were kinda friends of hers...so I guess my father somehow survive, weirdly because he told me that Jutsu was last resort because it would definitely kill the user..." you trailed off then shook your head "regardless! I guess he got a hold of Tsunade-sama and she somehow got the message to Pein. I'm going to meet up with him"
"whoa. What?!" he leapt up "you're just going to fucking leave? What the actual fuck?! I thought you were staying here with me, you were my fucking woman"
You rolled your eyes to this behaviour
"Hidan, I'm not leaving the Akatsuki." You clarified "I'm not dumping you either."
To this he calmed down a bit and sat back down. He usually wasn't on such good behaviour...however you never would talk about it. He knew that you came from a smaller village by the land of fire...but that's all he ever got out of you.
"I just want to meet up with him – he "died" and I ended up wandering around on my own for a long time before I found you guys. I don't even know everything about my kekki genkai..." you looked down at your upward facing palms. "I think that if I can get more information from him then I'll be able to better protect the clan's power...and myself, you know?"
Hidan gazed at you carefully then grabbed your hands and pulled you into his lap
"so where the fuck are you going?" he asked nuzzling his head against your shoulder
"'home' I suppose...or what was the clan's homeland." You shrugged
"alright, let's fucking go!" He grinned and gave you a smirk to your confused look "you're not fucking going without me. You can't get the fuck away that easy, don't be a moron"
Rolling your eyes to wiggled out of his grasp and went back to packing
"then go make sure Kakuzu and Pein are cool with it. Otherwise you can't come"
"those assholes can't fucking stop me from leaving your ass!" he declared rushing out of the room.
You ended up heading out after only a short 3 hour screeching match that Hidan had with Kakuzu about him taking off with you to your homeland.
You were raised as a ninja once, in Ishigakure "hidden in the stones" (not the Tsuchikage's village, a little village between the land of earth and land of wind). But it your father had left the village in a hurry with you in his arms, the rest of your family being killed in a large fire.
You weren't really worried about any attempts on your life as you planned to not use your kekki genkai and you looked quite different than you did as a little child of 5.
"soooo..." Hidan called out breaking the silence "how are you going to fucking know where to go?" he asked.
It was an honest question, you didn't know much about your home because of how young you were when you left.
"well, my father's letter had information on it – but I'm hoping I'll remember a bit. I know our home was on the outskirts of the village and went partially underground" you mumbled
"you were living under a literal fucking rock?!" hidan fought, awfully, to bite back his laughter
He instead was granted with a shoe to the face.
When you did get there though, you were greeted by a woman at the gate. She had similar features to you but was most definitely younger, at least by 6 years.
"(name)??" she called out softly with a big nervous grin
"...yes?" you blinked confused
The girl sighed as if a heavy burden left her shoulders
"thank heavens! I was really hoping I wouldn't have to leave the village to find you. Father said that you'd come right away! But I bet Hakura 20 ryo that you wouldn't show at all – guess I lost" she chuckled and nervously messed up her hair
Hidan looked between the two of you.
It didn't seem like you were picking up on it...but you both looked very similar. The same lips, the same eye colour, the same jaw...same hips...
He immediately shook his head to clear his mind then looked about. He wasn't letting someone take you away again.
"so who's the dude?" she asked again
"he's with me" you shrugged not wanting to give more information than you had to
"father said only you..." she hummed "but I guess it won't hurt" she mumbled looking off behind her a ways
"what was your name?" you asked with a brow raised. You had some suspicions...
"my name is Amiko" she gave a proper bow "I'm your little sister, but you probably figured that out...wait what if I wasn't supposed to tell you yet? I don't want father to be mad"
That sent you reeling.
Sure you had an idea she was related to you...but SISTER?!
"you mean...my father left me." You growled as Amiko snapped her attention back to you "and he went off and had a whole new family?! He didn't even try to find me – did he?!" you yelled
"sh!!!!!" Amiko rushed out "listen, I get you're upset!-"
"really-?!"
"but nobody here knows who you are"
You paused and collected yourself. She was right after all
"father will explain everything, please." She held out her hands "I'll take you both to him right now"
Hidan was unnaturally quiet but when you glanced to him you saw him busily, trying to be inconspicuous about it too, looking out for hidden ninja ready to ambush. You caught his gaze for a moment and he nodded.
With that you grabbed Amiko's hand.
Deidara:
Deidara had noticed you had been acting weird for quite some time. You seemed to be less and less...well you. He'd been trying to gently figure it out without being just right in your face about it...but a few other members had taken notice too at this point.
Assuming it had to be some girl thing that you were too embarrassed to speak to him about, he decided to ask Konan for help. She was the only other woman – she had to know what you were going through and would be able to fix it then you'd be right back to normal!
Or so he hoped.
He had just returned from a mission to find you grabbing a bag and shutting the bedroom door
"(name)??" he called out concerned "what's with the bag, yeah?"
You shrugged softly and offered him a small smile
"I'm heading out"
He didn't like the sound of that
"you don't go on missions though...what's Pein set up now? He's not sending you out on some stupid mission that's going to get you killed, yeah!" he growled
"actually, I asked Pein to let me go" you clarified and starting walking past him
You ASKED to leave?!
Oh, no, no!!! nonononononononononono!
Not his muse, his love, his heart, his everything.
Deidara quickly latched onto your arm before you could get too far away
"I don't know what I did to make you want to leave, but let's sit down and talk it out. I'm sure it's something we can easily fix – I swear, un. I'll do anything for you, you know that" he rushed out in a paniced tone
"deidara..." you sighed
"(name), you can't leave. I mean...you can but I don't want you to. I love you so much...!" his eyes started to water and he quietly cursed himself for not being able to hold himself together
"deidara-"
"I'm serious! Whatever you want, gone. I even won't play with the clay in the bedroom anymore – I swear!"
He was bargaining for you to stay...
To this you sighed and covered his mouth with your hand
"I'm not leaving you" you clarified
You both stared at one another for a moment before Deidara nodded. His other hand gently pulled your hand away from his mouth
"then why?" he blinked back his tears "why are you leaving?"
"I'm going to meet up with my uncle." You smiled "I thought he died years ago...turns out he was hiding this entire time."
Deidara stared a bit confused.
"how'd he get a message here?" he asked "not many people know how to get a hold of us without us getting a hold of them first. It might be a trap"
You smiled and squished his cheek with your fingers in teasing.
"Tsunade-sama." You smiled "she came across my uncle and I when I was really little and we ended up leaving quietly before my clan's slaughter." You paused and looked about "why don't you come with me? I'll explain on the way"
Deidara couldn't think of a better idea! He rushed off to Pein.
It had been a few weeks already on your journey home. You were close, you could feel it.
"so...." Deidara called out "I get that your uncle took off with you before the butchering started, and then that nobody else lived. But they knew you both disappeared???"
"well, my uncle was my father's brother, right? And my father was in charge of the whole clan. So when the leader's right hand man disappears the night of the fight? People go looking. But my uncle told me that father said that my best chance, the clan's best chance, was with my uncle taking me and running" you explained
"that's awful, man" Deidara shook his head
"I was very young...I barely remember my clan. My uncle raised me on the road – that's why I don't mind travel!" you smiled leaning over and kissing Deidara's cheek
"so I guess the Saanin is how he found you?" your artist asked
"Pein said that Tsunade-sama had sent the message" you confirmed nodding "so I guess my uncle decided to come out of hiding enough to trust Tsunade with finding me"
"just promise me that you'll be careful okay? There's more on your head than just your clan's blood, yeah" he reminded grabbing your hand
"I know, you don't have an explosive boyfriend and live with world criminals and then get treated as if you were a treasure" you smiled then pulled Deidara behind a waterfall
You both walked in comfortable silence until you got to a ladder and climbed above. There you were met with a thick fog
"this is the entrance"
"I can't see anything" Deidara complained
"that's the point silly" you giggled grabbing his hand and leading him in the trapped path "I might not remember my family...but I remember this path. Everyone stressed that all of us kids knew about it" you mumbled leading him along
You narrowly avoided trap after trap, ensuring the safety for your boyfriend for once, and soon you were granted with a clearing. Fog tickled the edges of what was the clan's homeland. What once was booming farmland and a small village was now abandoned. There was not s single soul inside but you could remember the liveliness.
"this pole in the centre is where we would celebrate festivals, births and marriages...that kinda thing..." you looked about and followed the small paved stone, now sporting grown plants, to a large home. "this should be it."
"sooooo...you're pretty much the princess of the clan then...yeah?" Deidara asked with a slight teasing tone
"well, yeah I guess...Father was the leader of the clan" you shrugged and opened the door first.
You ducked immediately and narrowly missed a slash of a katana
"HA! I knew it was you!" a cooky voice chuckled out. "didn't think you were bringing one of your galfriends with you..." your uncle came into view tall and looming with a cooky grin stretched on his face "name's Getsuno, what's your name miss?"
Itachi:
Considering how Itachi's past and home life was like...he never was willing to pry into your own past. One, he felt it was rude but further than that, he didn't want to bring up potentially awful memories to the surface. He never wanted to talk about his family and since you never volunteered the information, assumed you were the same.
That was until he saw you go by the living room with a bag
"(name)???" he asked actually setting down his book and meeting your paused form
"yeah?" you blinked a bit confused
Itachi looked at your face studying it briefly then down to your attire and bag.
Why were you ready to be gone for a long period of time...?
"what's going on...?" he raised a brow then nodded to your bag "you never head out on your own, especially with that much stuff"
"oh" you blinked then became sheepish. "I guess I was so excited, I entirely forgot to tell you"
Itachi was caught off guard by this confession as you normally told him just about everything. You weren't really stingy when it came to details about things you liked, what made you happy or even how you felt. So this sudden missing information was a bit strange
"excited for what? Are you going on a trip on your own?" he gave you a worried look before continuing "does Pain know you're leaving the base?"
"he knows, it was actually his idea." You nodded settling the bag down next to you "turns out I had a message sent here. Something about Tsunade-sama being able to somehow get a hold of Pein – I didn't really ask."
"Tsunade-sama sent you a message...?" he raised a brow "she doesn't want you to go back after what Ibiki did..."
It was more of a statement rather than him wondering
"well, no. So I told you when we got home from..." you paused freeing your mind of the torture you were subjected to via Ibiki "there...uhm, how Tsunade-sama knew me right?"
"you did" he confirmed gently grabbing your hand and lacing your fingers together
"well, it turns out my big brother is still alive" you smiled
"really?" Itachi was genuinely surprised.
The way you had explained your parting from your older brother made it sound like he was dead beyond any hope of surviving. So he was a little skeptical about this suddenly living brother.
"well...I hope so. I don't see why she'd give me false information – you know?" you looked up at him sheepishly
He could tell how excited you were, how much you really, truly and honestly wanted this to be your big brother back alive and safe. But it sounded way too good to be true.
"I see...did the message say where he's been this whole time?" Itachi asked being very careful not to shatter your newly found hope of family
"I suppose he went back to the village, at least that's where it says to meet him. Maybe he's been travelling around like we had been before?" you shrugged "I'm not really sure"
"will you give me ten minutes to pack and come along with you?" Itachi said after a pregnant pause
You sighed and with a toothy grin nodded furiously. You had hoped he wasn't going to tell you that it was a bad idea and discourage you from going.
Part of you wanted him to meet your brother anyways – he was the only family you had left after you both escaped anyways...
It had been...how long since you left the base??
You weren't entirely sure, but you were really glad that Pein spared Itachi a lecture and just let him come along with you. And it had been a long journey to the village you were originally from...even though you grew up mostly on the road.
"I've never heard of this village before" Itachi confessed as you climbed over into the entrance of the village.
"well, from what I remember...my big brother said that it was hidden from most of the other villages. I guess that's why they were able to get rid of an entire clan without so much of a fuss being made"
"most of a clan...you are still here, (name), don't forget that" Itachi pointed out gently following you
"you're right" you grinned
Looking about the village...most things didn't stand out to you. You had been 5 when your brother took off with you in secret. It seemed all hazy, your memory of this place.
"I think that there used to be a statue here..." you mused looking up at a newly made building "if there was then that alley way to our left should take us towards home"
Itachi carefully watched those that you had gathered attention from, all the while still watching you for any signs of distress. You were the most precious thing to him, well...Sasuke was very important too, but he had to keep that much more hidden than his love for you.
You walked in and out of winding paths until you got to a small bridge crossing a little trench. The buildings across this barrier were all falling apart and in disarray. Some were vandalized while others were burned.
"is this it?" Itachi asked in a hushed tone standing right next to you
"we...used to throw sticks from here...and...we'd watch them float down...first one to the end won" you mumbled remembering the few childhood memories you still retained.
You felt itachi squeeze your hand in an attempt to comfort you, and with all your mustered-up courage, you stalked forward. The last house, hidden within its owns clans homes was the best state.
That is where your brother must be.
You rushed up the old pathway and slammed open the door and yelled-
"HAAAAARUUUUUUUKAAAAAAAA~!!!!!!"
You both stood in silence until you heard a loud bang from further inside and running footsteps. Immediately Itachi pushed you behind him and activated his sharrigan ready to stop anyone from hurting his lover.
He was not prepared to be tackled over by a large man screaming his girlfriend's name.
"...wait a second...you're not my little sister..." the voice sounded in confusion
Sitting above Itachi was your elder brother. Sporting a beard and short cropped hair but somehow...he easily was resemblance of your own features and colours.
"Haruka...that's my boyfriend" you smiled before tackling him off of Itachi and the two of you wrestling in the grass before you pinned your brother.
Itachi merely looked on with a smile, although a sweatdrop trickled down, a smile nonetheless.
