I woke up late a couple mornings later. Today was the day where we began to film again, and invite over our close friends and family.

Aunt Melissa, Mary Kate (MK), and Danielle flew over yesterday and stayed the night. Aunt Melissa and her family understood what we were going through, because they lost their son David when he was 10. He would be 12 right now if he was still alive.

I climbed out of bed as quietly as I could and tip toed to the bathroom where I wouldn't disturb MK, who was sleeping near my bed in a sleeping bag. She wanted to keep me company last night in case I needed to talk to her, which I appreciated.

I quickly took a shower, brushed my hair and got dressed before I went downstairs with MK, who woke up while I was in the shower.

"You alright?" She asked me.

I shrugged.

She gave me a big hug. "I know how ya feel, Annie. When I lost David, I felt like my whole world just...broke."

"I'm sorry about David." I said. "I miss him."

"Me, too. Same with Caleb. But instead of getting ourselves worked up, let's go downstairs for breakfast." MK suggested.

"Mornin', girls! We're making some Eggo waffles and pancakes, Caleb's favorite!" Mommy greeted us when we came into the kitchen.

"But his favorites were from Ms. Paula." Hayley corrected. I was surprised she was awake, because most of the time she sleeps in.

Danielle was next to Hayley, and she smiled then came over to give me a hug.

"Here ya go." Mommy placed a plate in front of MK and I. "Eat up, we got a big day planned."

Later that day, there was about a half hour left until the get together when MK, Danielle, Hayley, and I were all in the basement talking.

"So, Annie, anyone special in your life?" MK asked.

"What? No." I answered a little to quickly, so I added, "I'm only ten."

"So? My first crush was in preschool." Danielle admitted.

"C'mon, Annie, there's gotta be someone you like. Heck, it could be a celebrity! Just tell us." MK insisted.

I hesitated. Should I tell them about Brennan? Wait, do I still like Brennan?

Well, kinda.

I was starting to like him a bit more, and even considered asking him out, but then Caleb died, and I needed an older brother. So, since I've known Brennan for a long while, he was the only one who could be my older brother.

So...I brother-zoned him.

"Earth to Annie! Hello?" MK was waving in my face.

I shook my head. "Sorry. Got lost in thought."

"I know who she likes!" Hayley raised her hand.

Oh man, I forgot she was there when Caleb and Brennan were arguing about our kiss.

"Who? Who?" MK and Danielle asked as they inched closer to Hayley.

"Don't you say it—"

"Brennan!" Hayley blurted.

Dang it, Hayley!

MK and Danielle turned around slowly with their jaws wide open. Then they ran towards me and asked, "OMG YOU LIKE BRENNAN?!" "WHEN DID YOU START TO LIKE HIM?!"

"Calm down! One day be told me he liked me, then I realized I kinda liked him back, then he kissed me—"

"He kissed you?!" MK squealed.

"Yeah, but—"

"Our little Annie is growing up." Danielle wiped a fake tear.

"Guys, he kissed me. That doesn't necessarily mean I like him back." I said as I crossed my arms over my chest.

"Yeah, but you didn't pull away. You said you like him." MK said.

"Okay! I liked him! But then Caleb died, and he's always been like an older brother to me so...I brother-zoned him." I said quietly.

"Oh." MK and Danielle looked a little disappointed.

I decided to change the subject. "Anyway, do you guys like anyone?"

"Nope." Danielle said.

"Well..." MK started.

"Who?" Hayley asked with curiosity.

"At home, there's this guy I like named Chase. He's really sweet, and nice and cute..."

"And short." Danielle added.

"Shut up, so are you." MK playfully pushed her, then continued, "Anyway, we hang out a lot and stuff—"

"He's her boyfriend."

"Would you stop interrupting me, Danielle? And he's not officially my boyfriend." MK said.

"Why not make it official?" Hayley suggested.

MK shrugged. "Maybe, just not yet."

"Girls! Liv and her family are here!" Mommy called from upstairs.

"Coming!" We all shouted from downstairs.

"We'll continue this discussion later, when everyone leaves." MK whispered to me.

I rolled my eyes and followed her upstairs.

"Hey Annie!" Liv called from the living room.

"Hi Liv!" I went over and hugged her.

"I'm so sorry for your loss. We miss him dearly." Liv said.

"Thanks." I said back.

"Is Katie coming?" She asked.

I nodded. "Yeah, she should be here soon."

Liv looked away and smiled when she saw MK and Danielle. "Hey, guys! It's been a while."

"Sure has." MK said as she, Liv, Danielle, and Hayley were all in a big hug.

The doorbell rang again, and I opened the door to see Katie, Brennan, and Ryan.

"Hi!" I greeted as I hugged Katie.

"H-hey, Annie." Brennan said with an awkward wave.

When Brennan spoke, MK and Danielle stopped and looked.

"Hi." I said back as I hugged him. "Glad you could come." I whispered into his ear.

"Me too." He said. When he pulled away, I looked into his eyes and saw sadness and disappointment, then he walked away.

I felt bad for him. I know he still likes me, but I can't like him back; he's all I have left as a brother figure.

"Why didn't you kiss him?" MK whispered to me.

"What? Why would I do that?" I whispered back.

"Because he's hot and obviously likes you." MK said in a "duh" tone.

"He's like a brother to me, MK. I already lost my real brother, I can't lose Brennan now." I said.

MK didn't dare try another comeback. She now knew how I felt about Brennan.

A little bit later, Mommy started to film. Honestly, it made me feel a little better when she turned the camera on. YouTube was a part of my life, and I'm glad we didn't lose that, too.

We were making little treats and some arts and crafts, and sadly, we were also planning things for Caleb's funeral. Mommy had asked Brennan to pick out music for the funeral, and he looked a little sad while he was searching for music online.

I decided to go upstairs to get some peace and quiet while I wrote a speech for Caleb's funeral. It made me cry having to write this; I didn't think I'd ever being doing this, not this young, at least.

Daddy came upstairs a while later with the camera. "Whatcha doin'?"

"Writing a speech for the funeral." I said quietly.

"Oh. Nice hat." He pointed out.

I was wearing one of Caleb's old baseball caps. I shot him a weak smile and thanked him.

"Well, I'll let you continue, and check up on you later, 'kay?"

"Kay." I answered.

After everyone left, MK had to resume the conversation.

We went up to my room and she closed the door.

"Just date him already!" She said, jumping to the point already.

"Huh?"

"Don't play dumb with me, Julianna. We all know you like Brennan. I get it, you want and need a brother figure. But isn't Luke more like a brother figure to you? I saw how you and Luke connected tonight; you and him have a great brother and sister relationship. You and Brennan? You like him, he likes you, it's obvious; become a couple already." MK said.

I hesitated. "MK, I can't—"

"Why not?"

I took a deep breath. "Because I'm ten! Brennan's mom and my mom would kill us if we dated."

"I had my first boyfriend in third grade, and my mom and his mom didn't kill me. We even kissed under the playground slide." MK told me.

"That's different. You were in third grade. Third grade relationships aren't serious." I said.

"Well, mine was! We dated for over a year, then he moved. We broke up at the beginning of fifth grade because of it. Also, he kissed another girl in the same spot he kissed me, too. How rude." MK crossed her arms and pouted.

"I guess you guys were serious." I mumbled.

"So see? You're not too young." MK said.

"I still don't know." I said.

"Just go on one date with him. If you liked it, go out on a few more and start dating. If you hated it, then stop and forget about him." MK explained.

"Okay, I guess. But how will I tell you about it?"

MK laughed and shook her phone. "You call, text, or FaceTime. Easy."

I hugged her. "Thanks for the advice, MK. You're the best."

"I know." She pulled away and flipped her hair.

I laughed. We talked all night, and I actually forgot about all the pain for a while.

A/N: Hola! So if you're confused, at the beginning I mentioned that David would've been 12 and Annie is 10. If you forgot this took place the day of the vlog "Celebrate Life", which was a little while after Caleb's death. So, Annie is not 11 yet, and David wouldn't have turned 13 yet. Sorry for any confusion.
