I got this y'all, I'm one of the drum majors for my band now!

Jeremy ran to the cabinet full of uniforms and found his letter. He pulled out his uniform and removed his normal clothes to reveal his under armor. 

He pulled on his overall pants and zipped it up. He slipped on his coat and asked his friend Christine to zip him up.  As she did, Jeremy caught the eyes of a boy from his rival team. 

He seemed about the same height as him, he had dark brown hair, chocolate skin, and glasses. He looked into my eyes and smiled a soft smile. Jeremy blushed and instantly felt fuzzy inside. 

He returned to putting on his uniform and getting ready for the nearing competition. He tightened up his marching shoes, put his shako on, and went to get his plume on, he was ready to go.

The band warmed up and tuned, and then had a little time to chill. He saw the rival team walk by and saw the handsome boy looking through his band. He was looking for someone. "Hey Christine", she put down her flute and turned, "Yes?" 

He pointed to the beautiful boy in the other band, "Do you know that guy?" She studied him and straightened up, "That's Michael, we went to the same middle school, he was always into music. Why do you ask?" Jeremy scratched the back of his neck, "Well, I just, u-um just noticed him..." Christine gasped, "You like him?!" Jeremy shushed her. She jumped up and down.

"I'll set it up..."Jeremy looked confused but nodded as to not have Christine scream out that he had a crush.

After the show, every band went to dinner at a small food truck. Jeremy was sitting on the floor away from the other kids, he never really ate with anyone but Christine, sadly he couldn't find her. 

"Hey, Jer!" Jeremy turned and saw Christine walking up to him with the handsome boy from the other band, "Jeremy I would like for you to meet Michael Mell, I'll let y'all talk." Christine walked away and left the two boys alone. 

They sat down, both with their hotdogs. Then silence, neither knew what to say, "Hey," Michael said to break the silence, "Yeah?" Jeremy replied.

Michael pulled out his phone and started up his Apocalypse of the Damned Demo game. Jeremy's eyes went bright, "You like video games too?!" Michael nodded.

They spent the rest of their time talking about video games and getting to know each other.

After 2 hours the drum majors called their bands to get into twos to get on the bus. "Well, I guess this is it, I'll text you," Jeremy nodded and turned to walk away.

"Wait for a second," Jeremy turned and was given a quick kiss on the cheek by Michael, "Text me when you get home," Michael smiled and ran to the line.

Jeremy got on the bus, buckled up, and leaned his head on the window. He fell asleep thinking of the boy who almost made him faint from happiness.
