It had now been a month after the dance and Evan had completely fallen for Connor. Not knowing that he was messaging with his next-door neighbor. Their windows being across from each other.

Connor never opened his shades, so Evan didn't know what he looked like. Or even his name, all he ever heard of was the 'emo kid next door'. Jared usually called him that.

Jared was the only person who knew that Evan had met and kissed someone the night of the ball. And Zoey was the only person who knew about Connor's little adventure.

Jared had recently started talking with Evan's neighbor, Zoey Murphy. They talked about how they were both at the ball and how both of their companions had disappeared.

"Now that I think about it", Jared said, "I remember seeing Evan dancing with a guy with long hair and a purple mask". Zoey gasped.

"Did this guy have a black suit on by any chance?" Jared nodded and Zoey started to freak out, "Holy shit, Evan was the guy that Connor met!"

Jared started to chuckle, "Are you sure?" Zoey nodded, "If you don't believe me then was Evan wearing a dark blue suit with a blue mask?" Jared immediately went silent, "Oh my gosh, Evan fell for the emo next door?"

Zoey laughed at the nickname for her brother, "How are they gonna figure it out?" Jared smiled, "I have a wonderful idea".

And so the plan was put into action, Evan and Connor were told that they would be having dinner in the murphy house, when the house was empty.

Connor heard the door open and close, he assumed it was his sister coming back from the store.

He walked down the stairs while still looking at his phone, "Hey did you get the-" He looked up and saw the anxious boy standing at the door, staring at him.

"Can I help you?" Evan snapped out of his daze, "Z-Zoey was supposed to have lunch with me and Jared..."

Connor thought back to everything Zoey said, she never mentioned having lunch with someone. Suddenly they both got texts from their wing-people.

Hey, he likes dudes, dont mess this up ;)

Both boys blushed profusely. "S-So, um, what do we do now?" Connor looked at him and placed his hand on his face.

"Look, I'm sorry but I can't do this, I've already fallen for someone." Evan felt a little hurt but then remembered the handsome boy who stole a kiss from him.

"Yeah, me too." Connor was kind of surprised to hear that Evan had someone too, "Oh really?  Can you tell me about them?"

Evan wondered why Connor wanted to know, but he didn't mind talking about him. "Well, i met him at a masquerade ball not too long ago".

Connor smiled, "Hey, same". Evan smiled, "He walked up to me and made me feel better when i was alone, and he took me out to dance".

While Evan was talking about his mystery guy, Connor started comparing his night with Evan's and found many similarities.

"Then at the end of the night, we kissed in the garden..." Evan seemed lovestruck, but he soon snapped out of that when Connor gasped.

"What What?!" Connor leaned close to Evan and asked, "Come with me," Connor grabbed Evan's hand and led him to his room.

They entered and Connor told Evan to sit, Evan  sat down and looked around. Connor then took out the suit and pulled the mask out from under his bed. Evan studied them and gasped.

Evan then pulled out his phone and texted his mystery man and Connor's phone binged. Evan looked at Connor with a surprised look.

Connor didn't want to waste any time, he jumped at Evan and kissed him. Evan's eyes went wide but he soon melted into it. They pulled apart and smiled.

"How about we go to my place and just, cuddle?" Connor giggled, "Please", they then ran out of the house and into Evan's house.

Zoey and Jared sat at the dinner table in Zoey's house and smiled, "20 bucks says Evan will try to fuck first", Zoey laughed, "You're on".
