I was walking to the bus stop, umbrella in hand. The patter of the raindrops soothing me.

I stopped and waited for the bus. The next bus wouldn't come for the next ten minutes. I stood there, looking around. I was the only one at the bus stop, so it was kind of lonely- wait. Another person walked up next to me.

I swear my heart skipped a beat because he was the cutest person I've ever seen. His brown hair stuck to his face because the rain made it wet.
I stepped closer to him and tapped his shoulder.

"Hmm?" He looked up and my heart melted.

"I was wondering if you want to share my umbrella. You seem pretty drenched." He chuckled under his breath.

"Yeah, sure." He stepped closer so my umbrella covered both of us

I don't know what to do so I tried to start a conversation. "My name's Michael, what about you?" You could tell in my voice that I was nervous.

"Jeremy." I smiled and we started a conversation and he seemed like a pretty cool guy. He liked the same stuff I liked and was even a geek too!

"Hey, you want my number? We can stay in touch." He smiled and said sure. I wrote it down on his phone and then the bus came.

I closed my umbrella, getting us both wet again, and walked onto the bus. We picked a seat at the back of the bus and talked some more.

His stop was three stops before mine so we said our goodbyes and he left.

I had a feeling we were going to be good friends.
