Day 7
I took a shaky breath. This was it. This is the big day where I get married to the love of my life: Michael Mell. I took as deep breath as Rich made final checks and then gave me a thumbs up.
"You look great. Maybe just as good as me on my special day." I jokingly rolled my eyes at Rich as I made sure everything was in order for the hundredth time. I was going to get married in seven minutes. I heard footsteps and saw my dad enter the room. He had a black suit and (thankfully) dress pant.
"Jeremy, you look so handsome. I am so glad you're finally happy with someone and-" He started to choke on tears and I hugged him.
"Dad, save your tears for later."
Rich came back and nodded. "It's time Jeremy. Good luck." He then ran out to join Jake and their son, David.
Dad linked his arm with mine as we walked towards the doors. I took a deep breath as I prepared myself. I checked to see if my blue tie was crooked.
It wasn't but it's always safe to check.
The doors opened and light came flooding into my eyes. There weren't a lot of people there and that's just what Michael and I planned it to be. Not too big but not too small. My dad started to walk me down the aisle to my soon to be husband.
Michael was standing there with his black suit and red bow tie. His hair was as messy as it always was but that's okay. He looked cuter that way.
I saw Jack and Rich to my right. Jack was holding David in his lap and it was adorable. Maybe Michael and I could start a family one day.
I reached Michael and the (who even stand there that isn't a preacher guy?) cleared her throat and spoke.
"Will you, Jeremiah Heere, take Michael Mell as you husband? Through sickness, and through health. Through wealth and through poor. Do you take Michael to be you lawfully wedded husband?"
I smiled. "I do."
"And do you, Michael Mell, as you husband? Through sickness, and through health. Through wealth and through poor. Do you take Jeremy to be you lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do." The ring bearer gave us the rings. They were simple. One was a bluish silver and the other was a reddish gold. I took the blue one and Michael took the red one. "Jeremy, will you be my player one, forever?" I nodded as he slipped the red ring on my right hand.
"Michael, know that you are my favorite person, no matter what." I slipped the blue ring on his right hand. We both looked at the woman who was going to wed us. She smiled and folded her hands together.
"I pronounce you husbands for life." We kissed and the audience cheered. Today couldn't have gone any better.
Bonus:
Michael's POV
People say the best part of your wedding is getting married. I say it's when Jeremy tripped on the table cloth and face planted into the cake.
I had to add tat last part because I thought of it and I couldn't not put that on. So another one. Surprisingly, I am actually keeping up with the schedule. Who knew? Anyway I hope you guys are enjoying it so far.
