Day 28
(WARNIG! It might not count as angst but here's a warning)
Michael sat in the bathtub, knees pressed against his chest. Tear residual stained his face from moments ago. Michael has just spent a long time in the bathroom, crying because he was just betrayed by his long time best friend.
Michael would have stayed there but he suddenly smelled smoke. Michael looked up and saw embers making their way into the bathroom. He got up and races for the door but a curtain suddenly caught flames, causing Michael to hesitate and look. Flames erupted from the walls and ceiling, eating away the room surrounding him. A beam fell from the ceiling, trapping Michael inside.

Jeremy was running out of Jake's house when he realized that there was one person missing from the group. (I know that in the actual musical, Jeremy just leaves before everyone else but this has some changes.)
Michael wasn't anywhere to be seen. Jeremy looked back into the house. The house hasn't gotten too burned. I can still run in
NO. THE CHANCES OF YOU FINDING MICHAEL AND ESCAPING ARE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE. ALSO, TO BE COOL, YOU MUST LEAVE HIM BEHIND. REMEMBER OUR PLAN?
Jeremy shook his head. He would not leave Michael behind, never again. He didn't care that there was a slim chance his plan would work, he wanted to save Michael.
Jeremy sprinted into the house, ignoring the screams for him to come back. He kicked down the front door and searched the house for where Michael could possibly be. Jeremy shook his head, frustrated. Where could he have gone?! Where was the last place I saw him? Jeremy's head shot up as he ran to the bathroom.
When he got there, the whole room was on fire. The flames licked the walls, sending smoke to escape from the cracks in the door. Jeremy ran up the the door and hit the door with his shoulder, separating it from its hinges.
It seemed like a million degrees inside. The flames only barely burned the room but the smoke burned Jeremy's eyes. He looked around frantically. The smoke was so thick that Jeremy was about to give up, but then he saw a hint of red.
"Michael!" He ran towards the familiar red sweater only to find Michael on the floor, motionless. Jeremy saw a small pool of blood by Michael's mouth along with small burned around the nose and mouth area. (I actually had to look this up. This is 100% accurate symptoms. Also, it only takes 5-10 minutes of exposure so the time is accurate.)
Jeremy shook the lifeless body in his arms. "Michael, come on. Wake up. I need my player one, we can fix this like we always do." Tears started to roll down his cheeks. "Two player game remember?" His voice cracked as more tears now flowed.
JEREMY, HE'S DEAD. LEAVE MICHAEL. YOU CAN STILL MAKE IT OUT ALIVE-
"NO! I'm not leaving him ever again! I don't care if I die right here! I'm never going to leave him." Jeremy rocked back and forth as he tightly clutched his friend. He hugged him closer as the flames traveled into the bathroom.
"I'm never leaving you ever again Michael. Never."
Then the ceiling caved in, engulfing the room in flames.
I don't know if this counts as angst but I put a warning just in case. This will probably be the only angst-y one shot I will ever write
