Warning: use of drugs and self harm

Annabelle's POV
It was Christmas morning, i was so excited, after waking up the next morning, suddenly I remembered what happened last night, everyone must be so angry with my right now, but I was wrong, stretching from my bed, I see a note by my bedside.

Make sure to take extra good care of yourself, also miranda is just a friend please.

Jason

I guess I really messed things up, I go into the bathroom and wash my face and brush my teeth, still in my pj's, I make my way to the Christmas tree, but no one was there, no celebration, nothing like my usual Christmas mornings.

"Dad, mom?" I call out.

"They left this morning." the maid came to inform me, where could they have gone to this early morning,  I make my way to Ashley's room but she wasn't there too, where the heck is everyone, searching countless times still no one, I gave up and sat there waiting for a miracle.

I dialled Maddie's number and she wasn't picking up either, did everyone bail on me or what, I was just being misunderstood, I tried the second time and luckily she answered.

Me
Hey, merry Christmas!

Maddie
Are you feeling okay now?

Me
Kinda, no one's at home.

Maddie
They're probably shopping, how are you feeling though?, please say fine because I miss the old you.

Me
I miss you!

Maddie
Let's hang later today.

Me
Sure!

With that being said, I hanged up the line, at least she's still talking to me, I sat there watching a movie and even falling asleep before I finally heard movements, checking my time I realise it was four in the afternoon.

"Where did you two go to?" I face my parents "I was looking forward to Christmas,"

"Well we kept your gifts, what else?" my dad played dumb.

"You left me alone, and where's Ashley?" I asked.

"I can't have David around all this, and don't bring your sister into this"  Molly added.

"Am sorry okay, I overreacted, but can I at least have my Christmas." I gave them my best puppy dog eyes.

"Sure go get your sister," they both smiled at me.

"Later tonight, I promised Maddie I'll hang today." I added before going to get ready, can't wait finally a no drama day I hope.

*****
I make my way to the basement, apparently Maddie wanted to meet there, that's far from home a little so what is she up to, like I knew Jess was waiting with her there.

"Really?" I say to her before taking a sit.

"I had to, now please for the love of God make up," she left to order leaving me with the enemy.

"I don't need this." I simply say ignoring her.

"I don't blame you, I deserved it, am really sorry I let love decide my friends for me and am sorry." she explained "Brandon told me to stop hanging with you and I agreed but now I realise that was stupid, and I really hope we can be friends again,"

"Wow, that's a lot, lucky for you am In a good mood today, and also I need a lot of people to forgive me too." after that being said I stood up and gave her a hug.

"Good you're friends again, I'll text the rest," Maddie walks up to us, I was glad she did that, cause at least now i have another person to talk to.

Minutes later Daniel and Alex showed up, but no Jason, where could he be?, we needed to talk and it had to be now or never.

"If it isn't miss imperfect." Alex teases the moment he walks in, giving Maddie a kiss, I knew he wasn't going to let me get away with this.

"Have you spoken to Ashley, is she okay?" Daniel cuts him off.

"Not yet, she wasn't around today, but I will." I assured him, he looked really worried, he really loves her and I knew it, I can't believe I put her in a spot like that, she must have been so scared.

"Just let me know as soon as you do okay?" after that I finally see the faces behind him, oh no I am so going to lose it.

"What are they doing here?" I turn to Daniel.

"They're my friends too." he simply said before everyone took their seat and we all kept quiet, Maddie was with Alex obviously, Jessica was trying to talk to me, but all I could do was glare at the twins, Allison had to come along too so it wasn't really pleasant.

"Chill, we're not here for trouble, why not we call a truce start over?" Allison smiled at me bringing her hands forward.

"Truce, fuck you, I almost got raped because of you and your stupid boyfriend over there." I pointed out.

"While some actually got raped." Daniel shaded me.

"Are you really mad at me, I didn't even know okay?" I faced him.

"Just saying." he gave a half smile before returning to his food.

"My offer still stands, I don't want to fight anymore," she finishes off before facing her boyfriend, leaving me with my main target.

"So?" I faced him hoping he'll say something too, but he totally ignored me "earth to Brandon?" I added again.

"Can we just go already, I don't even know why we're here." he taps Bradley and walks out angrily.

"Well that's also my cue." I turn to Maddie who was buried in Alex's face to even notice me.

"I'll walk you home." Jessica offered.

"Am okay I'll be going somewhere anyway, we'll talk later." I gave her a smile before waving Daniel too, he didn't acknowledge it, so my guess is he's still mad. "Look am sorry, I really didn't know that was the reason, I wouldn't have made her say it in that much crowd," I turn to him.

"I know it's not your fault, am just not thinking straight right now, but am not mad at you." he assured, with that being said I left to Jason's.

Jason's POV
So Miranda's stay was cut short thanks to my never ending life of drama, after Belle made a scene last night, and her sisters shocking reveal, it wasn't an easy night for all of us, I sent Miranda home and decided to stay with Anna, still wondering why the fuck she kept calling Chad, I left this morning to be with the family, and with me not around my dad never fails to make a show.

He and mom had it all out during the car ride back, and the whole house knew already, Emm was shaking in her room, with the fear of losing mom, Miranda left me a note, how nice that she took the first flight back home, so I was back to another drama. My parents managed to pull a normal Christmas morning for me and Emma but it just wasn't the same, especially with the fear of losing her at any moment now. The pressure just wasn't the same.

"I just can't believe you were just going to leave me like that, why?" My dad said in the middle of opening gifts.

"Dad! Emma?" I pointed at my little sister who was focusing on opening her present, but she just couldn't.

"Are you ready dying mom?" Emma asked all teary.

"I'll be fine, don't worry about me,just open your gift okay?" she tried calming her down.

"You're lying to me, no one ever tells me anything." she stood up and left.

"I'll go talk to her." I turn to them before giving them both a stern look, making my way to her room I knock on the door gently "can I come in?"

"Go away," she threw a pillow at me.

"Oww, am still coming in." I picked it up before heading to her on the bed.

"Why is mom sick?" she asked me with teary eyes.

"I don't know Emm, but am sure she won't like to spend her last days like this, so at least cheer up for her?" I pulled her close for a hug.

"Does that mean she's not leaving dad." she asked looking up at me.

"Well in a way, yes." I assured and she gave me a heartwarming smile, and it helped cause even I needed it at the moment, we both made our way downstairs and continue opening of the presents, I just decided to enjoy the little moment I had with her now, because in the end that's all you'll have memories.

I was lying down in my room thinking of what a day I had when I received a text from the boys, apparently Maddie was inviting us to a hangout at the basement, I for one did not need that at the moment, so I declined and stayed in my room doing the only thing that calms me down.

I received another message from Miranda apologising for taking off so soon, I don't blame her, even I would especially with the drama she faced and Annabelle, almost hitting her.

I just got out of the shower thinking of all the messes I've done so far, when I picked my needle and treat myself with it, I was already halfway into beast mood when Annabelle walks in.

"Oh no." I let out, when did she get here " I can explain please?" I started to but she was already in tears crying her eyes out, why do girls always do this.

"I can't do this anymore Jason, I just can't." she walks out on my running, last time she did that she was in the hospital I'm not letting her go.

"Wait please?" I run after her, hoping to explain myself, honestly I had no reason, I'm addicted to it but I can try to, chasing after her It was a Lost cause, she got into her car and zoomed off, I got into mine too and followed her, I wasn't giving up and I didn't want to lose her, not now, not today, not ever. She was obviously going home, so I followed her until we made it to the door.

"Stop following me." she said before banging the door at me, but I didn't let it happen I went after her immediately, but what we saw next was too much for even we both to comprehend. "What happened here? mom? dad?" She looked confused, while they both looked sad too.

"We're sorry Annabelle, we didn't know too, we were too late." her dad tried to explain, I didn't know what to say either, I wasn't expecting this.

"Are you okay?" I manage to say but she lost it.

"Am I okay, I walk in to see my sister bleeding on our couch, halfway already dead hopefully and that's your question." she sparked.

She was right that was a dumb question to ask, even i felt my world crashing with the mere site of this, and am not related to her, I can't believe this.
