Annabelle's POV
Me and Chad arrived at the pixel bar minutes later, i needed a wild night and it's been a while, plus he has been a fun sponge lately, so I needed him a bit loose tonight.

"Are you serious right now?" He turned to me immediately we parked by the entrance.

''Come on it'll be fun, think about it." I gave him a flirty wink.

"Fine, but no getting wild I don't want you going crazy on me as usual," he teased. Me and Chad have been through a lot together, not to mention how he always ends up saving me every time I get drunk. Or have wild night, after Ashley's sad death, I remember him coming to meet me and saying he was leaving, and honestly that was the worst day of my life, well second worst. Ashley's suicide is definitely the first.

I stopped seeing him throughout the whole semester, up until his graduation, I was at the basement sitting alone, when he randomly pops up to me, we were so excited to see each other and as always I looked like mess.

Flashback

"You're a mess." Chad walks up to me who just had a handful of the day.

"What a way to greet a stranger!" I gave him a straight answer, we haven't see each other in like forever, probably because he shut me off. And now he's here "what are you doing here anyway?" I added.

"Looking for you." he gave me an awkward smile.

"I miss you!" I suddenly hear myself say, honestly I did.

"I know." he simply said before taking the seat next to me.

End of flashback

Since from that day, we have been inseparable, we would hang all day up until I have class or so, I manage to forget most of my worries, he finally asked me out a year ago, and well we're almost celebrating our one year anniversary. I was surprised when he actually agreed to move further into town, I guess he also wanted to get away from family drama and the past.

We walked into the bar, taking our seat by the table, basically talking, we ordered a few drinks even though Chad made sure I had a little less, he stood up to go to the bathroom when I notice someone looking at me.

I slowly observed him for awhile before I realise who it was, our eyes immediately locked in, I haven't seen him in eight years now, and yet I couldn't deny his looks, he was a bit older now, still with those eyes I get lost into. He lose his blonde hair I use to love, and is now rocking a brown shade, I shouldn't even care, am here with someone else he shouldn't bother me, plus I hate him,  I made up my mind looking away from him.

I was focusing on the bar trying to pretend I didn't see him, when I hear his voice.

"Hey." he came up to me smiling.

'He must think am crazy, being all nice huh'

"Yeah you are?" I turn stretching my hands to him for a handshake.

"Don't you remember me, I could have swore I saw you staring?" he flirted.

"Oh, I must have mistaken you for someone else then, no worries," I tried to brush him off.

"Why are we playing this games Annabelle, I know you know it's me Jason?" he came out straight.

"Oh Jason, of course Jason who?" I prolonged the situation.

"Are you serious right now?" He snapped immediately.

"One second." I take out my phone, proceeding to go live, I usually do that whenever am out to keep the fans updated "hello guys, I just ran into an old friend apparently,  say hi Jason," I turn to him, who wasn't even looking at me but rather at Chad who was now approaching us, I could see him giving him the stink eye, boy did he not look happy to see him. They both didn't.

"Hey baby." he comes and wrap his hands around my waist, before planting a kiss on my lips, probably showing claim I'd say "who's the guy?" He turned to Jason.

"I was just leaving." he turn to leave, I wanted to stop him but I decided let him go.

"Why'd you do that?" I turn to my annoying boyfriend.

"Besides coming over, what else did do?" He gave me the sad eyes.

"Can we just go home, am already exhausted for the night?" my mood was suddenly down, seeing Jason tonight brought back a lot of bad memories, and I needed to be far from him as possible.

We arrived a minute later,  I was so down that I headed up straight to the room, and into the bathroom. I turn on the sink as usual running through, blocking the sounds of my sobbing, I haven't cried all day, but seeing him today brought all my emotions back again, I hated him,  I never wanted to have anything to do with him, he broke me and I manage to brand myself back to normal but somehow, he shows up and he makes me so vulnerable again.

"Are you good in there babe?" I totally forgot chad was here, I can't let him see me like this, It'll break his heart.

"Just a minute," I tried to lower my voice.

"You sound down, are you sure you're okay?, should I come in?" He knocks gently on the door.

I quickly get up from the floor and pour a handful of water on my face. Before opening the door.

"Come here." he pulled me in for a hug, I don't know if he knows what is going on, but I loved being in his arms especially at the moment, it felt so warm and so safe almost like.

"Hey uhmm," I immediately pulled away realising I was thinking of someone I shouldn't be thinking of.

"You want to cuddle for tonight?" He lifts my face up meeting him straight in the eye.

"Yes please!" I responded calmly, as he helped me changed into my nightie before joining me on the bed.

Jason's POV
I left the bar immediately that happened, I wasn't expecting her to be single, but I also didn't expect her to be dating, and that really messed up my head seeing her and that boy kiss, made me wish I never did what I did back then, how was I going to win her back now, she's with him, I couldn't believe I lost her to him.

I didn't even bother to bid Alex goodbye I was busy thinking of what I just saw, I go to the car immediately and decided to clear my head, I entered any car and drove into town, I needed to clear my head and a long drive wouldn't hurt.

I drove up to the cliff me and Annabelle met the last time we actually were in good terms, I went up to the stream just by the banks and sat on the grass, throwing stones into the water, when a familiar voice startled me.

"Fancy seeing you here." Sophie comes up from behind me.

"You scared me," I manage to say, adjusting my sitting position "are you following me?" I added.

"Sorry, but I actually am, I saw you pass by and I decided to check up on you." she smiled at me taking a spot next to me.

''Well in case you're wondering, I was not about to jump off the cliff or drown myself in the river." I joked a little, I must say this situation makes me uncomfortable, I've never been this close since Annabelle, she was sitting too close for someone who works for me, so I moved a bit from her making the situation even more awkward than it already was.

"Am not going to bite you." she clarified.

"I know,  just a lot on my mind I just needed a place to think ALONE." I stretch that part.

"Oh I get it, I didn't mean to invade or anything, I just wanted checking in but, I can go if you don't mind," she looked a bit dissapointed.

"It's okay, let's talk for a while," I lighten up the mood "what's going on with you?" I asked.

"Nothing out of the ordinary, how have you been?" She also asked, the conversion was totally off, and definitely not comfortable for either of us, so I had to break the chain.

"Can you really tell me why you really came here?" I came out standing up while she was sitting down, going over close to the stream I sat there. Taking my shoes off I put my feet half way in the water, which was very cold.

"If you don't mind me asking this, but are not single at the moment?" She moved down closer to me again, the whole conversation caught me off guard and I wasn't expecting it at all.

"Excuse me?" I turn to be faced by her who was this close to me "am going to move away no--" I was cut off by my sentence by Sophie who just planted her lips on mine. Slowly pushing her off I stood up abruptly.

"What is going on with you?" I faced her immediately "are you out of your mind? You work for me for goodness sake" I finish off my sentence at that.

"Am sorry I shouldn't have, I just am really sorry," she stood up and ran down the cliff, I wanted stopping her and apologising for my behaviour, I know it must have hurt but I was already too late.

'Definitely not the first time am messing up a girls life' I thought to myself.

Looking around I realise it was getting late, so I took to my heels and made my way back into town, going straight to my room, I didn't even bother to look at who was sitting by the couch.

"Jason, it's not what it looks like." Emma stands up from the couch suddenly "he's a friend" she added.

I was too busy with what was going on in my life right now, I simply ignored them and went straight to bed.
