Louise tapped her pencil on the desk, taking glances at the door every so often. Dan and Phil hadn't been at Phil's locker this morning, and Louise locker was next to Phil's so she would be able to tell immediately if came. She wasn't watching out for Dan though, not really. One thing she learned about Dan, if he didn't show up to class right on time he wasn't coming at all.

The door to the class room opened and she didn't have to look up to know who it was. She could hear the click of Zoe's heels a mile away.

Click. Click. Click. All the way toward her seat. Louise would be lying if she didn't think it was annoying. But of course she couldn't tell her that. Things had gotten awkward after what Dan said that day at Zoe's house. Of course he since apologized. He handed Louise a note and she still remembers what it said. He apologized for being rude and said he was just upset. She expected his apology and he happily sent back another letter.

I won't apologize to Zoe if that makes you happy

She laughed elbowing Dan lightly. She missed being friends with Dan. It might me hard to believe but she and Dan were really good friends when they were younger. She lives across the street from him so they practically grew up together. When he lost his hearing he blocked himself from the rest of the world. He refused to talk to her.

Believe her when she says she tried. Endless notes and going over to his house. Sure back then Zoe was her best friend but Dan was like her little brother and it hurt her when he didn't talk to her. It hurt even more then when Zoe broke off their friendship. That's why when she barley met Phil she told him the reason she didn't talk to Dan was because she didn't wanna be weird. The truth was even if she tried to talk to him he would always refuse. That's why she wonders what Phil did. It seemed like he fixed Dan in just a matter of weeks. Phil must have some type of magic or something, thats for sure.

The bell rang and kids shuffled up excitedly to the next class. Their next class was Miss Marie's the only class that Zoe ever communicated with Louise just so they could work on their story. They didn't even work on it after school anymore. As a matter of fact Zoe avoided Dan, Phil, and Louise as much as possible.

Louise sat at their table waiting for Zoe to come in. When she did she mumbled an awkward hello and began writing her part of the story. They wrote a story about a girl without powers that snuck into a school of kids with powers and tried to blend in. But it has two pov's one if the girl without powers and the other is a boy who's trying to capture her. Zoe picked out the plot line, it's the only good idea she's had since Zoe started taking to her again.

While Louise was just finishing up her chapter the door to the class room opened to reveal two very exhausted looking boys.

"Dan and Phil, how nice of you to join us." Miss Marie said motioning toward their seats. "Please sit down."

They both handed her a note and went to take their seats, which happened to be right in front of Louise and Zoe's table.

Something was off though. She examined them as they look out their paper and Dan whispered stuff into Phil's ear making them giggle.

Then she realized, Dan didn't have his clothes on. Well except his pants but he'd worn those yesterday, and the shirt wasn't his. It was Phil's pixel blue t-shirt. Had Dan slept with Phil? Not in a a filthy was just spent the night. Is that why they were so late?

She took out a sheet of paper, wrote something down and flicked it toward Dan.

Had fun last night?

The paper came back flying at her face. She flicked Dan's ear before opened the note.
