Chapter 1-2
"YOU'RE A GIRL?!" the Olympus Academy principal's mouth hit the floor. "I'm sorry! This has never happened before!"
"It's okay, Mr. Campbell," Charlie chuckled uncomfortably. "Just unenroll me."
"I would... but it's against school policy to unenroll someone unless they do something to get expelled," Mr. Campbell frowned. "I'm afraid you're a student here now."
"Then I'll just have to do something to get expelled," thought Charlie deviously.
~~~
"Heh, heh, heh. That oughta do the trick!" Charlie grinned as she stepped out of the restroom. The sound of running water gushed behind her.
"Oh, there you are!" Mr. Campbell's voice made Charlie nearly jump out of her skin.
"This is it! I'm busted! Now I can get out of here!" Charlie smiled to herself and spun around to face the principal.
"I want to introduce you to your dormmates!" he grinned.
"Wait. What?" Charlie gasped, completely forgetting the bathroom's overflowing sinks. "Dormmates? As in I have to room with... BOYS?!"
~~~
Mr. Campbell led Charlie down the hallways and through a set of doors, out onto a sunny athletic field. A group of good-looking guys in Olympus Academy jerseys were playing ball nearby.
"Hmm, maybe this place isn't so bad..." Charlie blushed as she watched a cute boy who was practicing his swing.
"Ah, there he is," said Mr. Campbell, looking across the field. "Pace! Could you come here for a moment!"
"I wonder which one is Pace..." Charlie continued to swoon as she eyed the sporty guys.
"Yeah, what do you want?" a voice answered, and Charlie nearly fell onto the ground. A giant bear mascot had made his way over in response to the principal's call.
"Pace, this is Charlie- your new roommate," Mr. Campbell told the bear. "You can introduce the rest of your dorm."
"Oh, great. This is my new roommate? Figures. I would get stuck with the weirdest, dorky, loser-" Charlie grimaced, but her thoughts were stopped short when Pace took off the costume's head, revealing a perfect face and a gorgeous head of pitch-black hair. A streak of blue painted his bangs and a ring pierced his ear.
"Okay, so maybe I can stay here after all..." Charlie's heart fluttered.
"Hey! Who flooded the bathroom?" a voice suddenly called from the doorway.
"Uh, he did it!" Charlie squeaked, pointing at a nearby student. No way was she going to get expelled now!
As Mr. Campbell hurried away to resolve the watery issue, Charlie turned back to Pace, who had now completely removed the mascot suit and tossed it on the ground.
"Glad I'm out of that stupid thing. I hate it," he kicked at the lifeless bear with his boot.
"Well then... why are you the mascot?" Charlie watched him curiously.
"I'm not the mascot," said Pace.
"Then why were you wearing it?" asked Charlie, feeling confused.
"It's the school penalty for doing something bad," he told her.
"What did you do?" Charlie's eyes widened.
"Something bad," Pace replied darkly.
