Bill's POV:

mid June~

noon~

It's been about two weeks since "we've" arrived at Gravity Falls and it's also been about two weeks since I've been trying to become friends with Pine Tree.

He's really nice and sweet, so I want to become good friends with him. Maybe even more than that... DANG IT CIPHER! YOU KNOW IT'LL NEVER WORK!

Wow, no wonder Pine Tree talks to himself so much. It really knocks some sense into you.

Well anyway, today is Saturday and Pine Tree has the day off so we're just in his room thinking of what to do. Well, more like I'm thinking of what we should do.

"What's Shooting Star doing?" I ask as I levitate up above Pine Tree's bed.

"She's gone shopping with Candy, Grenda, and Pacifica." he answered back at me annoyed, trying to read his book.

"What about Red or Question Mark?"

"Wendy's with her friends, and Soos is on a date with Melody." he says, still reading his book.

"Fez and Sixer?"

"I don't know and I don't think I WANT to know." he answers a little angrily.

"Hmph," I say as I roll my eye and look away to stare at the ceiling.

There was awkward silence for about thirty seconds.

"Why would you want to hang out with them anyway? What would you even DO?!" Pine Tree asked, breaking the silence.

"Prank them, scare them, I don't know." I answer back.

"If you don't know then why did you ask?"

"Because I'm booored Pine Treeee!"

Pine Tree then slammed his book shut and sighed, "Fine Bill. If you're THAT bored, I have something we can do."

I slowly levitate down closer to Pine Tree and smile, "What is it?!"

"Well, you see, I may, or may not, have forgotten to take my medicine this morning. Sooo..."

"WE CAN GO SEE THE SUPER NATURAL CREATURES!!!" I said excitedly.

Dipper looked at me with a confused look and I then realized that I sounded like a twelve year old girl screaming at a concert.

"Were you just fangirling?"

"What's that?" I ask.

"Never mind. Let me just get some stuff and I'll meet you at the door."

"Ok!"

Dipper's POV:

I grabbed some snacks, sunscreen, and my journal and pen. I met Bill at the door and we were off.

We went into the forest and so far I've seen... nothing.

"Bill are you sure they're still here? I don't see anything."

"You just have to look closer Pine Tree." He then grabbed me and pulled me towards his face, and then pointed at a small patch of grass, "Look."

I rolled my eyes and then squinted them to try to see what Bill was seeing.

And suddenly, in a blink of an eye, a gnome scurried off from one tree to another.

"Whoa! A gnome! I haven't seen one of those in years!"

"See, they're all still here Pine Tree!"

I nodded and took out my journal and pen, "This is so cool! How is it that they're still here and no one has noticed them?!"

"Hey, umm, Pine Tree?"

"And they look sort of transparent, like you! Just a little more fadey, that's all."

"Pine Tree?"

"I can't wait to tell Ford about this if we ever break the spell! He'll want to know everything! I'll have to ask them questions! Like if they know they're invisible or not! Or if the spell has affected them in any sort of way? And if-"

"PINE TREE LOOK OUT!"

I look up from my journal, "Huh?"

"Behind you Pine Tree!"

I look behind me and I see a blurry lion that has scaly wings and a scorpion's tail that seems to be fading in and out.

"Whoa! I've never seen one of these things before! In real life or in any of Ford's journals!" I exclaim.

The creature then came closer to me, lifted its paw, and attempted to scratch me.

"AH!" I screamed, dodging the attack and backing away slowly.

"B-Bill what do I do?!"

I turned around and saw that Bill wasn't there.

"Bill?"

And then out of no where Bill came out right in between me and the beast. His hair was now flowing up and it was a dark shade of red, including his clothes and eye.

"HEY MANTICORE! ONLY ONE BEING IN THE MULTIVERSE CAN PICK ON MY PINE TREE AND THAT'S ME!" he yelled.

I stepped back a little, not knowing if I should be scared about the creature or Bill.

"WHY DON'T YOU PICK ON SOMONE YOUR OWN SIZE?! LIKE A CHIHUAHUA!" he then snapped his fingers and the creature was no more then a foot tall.

It then looked up at us and ran away in fear.

Bill then sighed and his hair stopped flowing and everything that was red turned back to yellow.

He then quickly turned to me and grabbed my shoulders, "Are you ok Pine Tree! Did he hurt you?! I SWEAR if he hurt a single hair on your head, I'm gonna-" but then he stopped as I wrapped my arms around him.

"P- Pine Tree are you ok?"

"Thank you for saving me." I said as I started crying on his shoulder.

"No problem Pine Tree"

sundown~

The sun was now setting and me and Bill were sitting at the edge of a cliff, eating the snacks I brought.

"So, that thing that tried to attack me, what did you say it was called?" I asked as I opened a bag chips.

"A manticore." Bill answered as he took a bite from a chocolate bar, "They have the body of a lion, a scorpion's tail, and some even have wings like that one."

"Cool." I said as I put a handful of chips in my mouth, "You know, if it wasn't trying to attack me."

"Oh I'm sure that manticore was just trying to show off." Bill said laughing.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"Sure manticore's look scary and can be aggressive, but they can be loyal if you show them a little bit of kindness."

"Ha! Kinda like you!" I joked.

"Hey! I'm still an all powerful demon!" Bill whined as he took another bite of his chocolate bar.

I laughed at Bill pouting and looking cute eating his chocolate. Wait... did I just call Bill Cipher cute?

No you didn't.

You're right, I would never say that.

But you did.

I did, didn't I?

"Hey Pine Tree are you ok?" Bill asked, waking me up from talking to myself.

"Huh? Oh yeah! I was just thinking." I said awkwardly and started to blush a little.

"Thinking about what?"

Oh geez, I can't tell him what I was talking about to myself, "Uhh, I was thinking why I never saw a manticore last time I came here. None of Ford's journals mentioned them either."

"Oh Pine Tree, there's A LOT of things that even Sixer doesn't know about Gravity Falls yet!"

"Wow, really?!"

Bill nodded while eating that last bit of his chocolate bar.

I then suddenly hear a noise come from my backpack.

"ding~"

I grab my backpack and took my phone out.

"Who is it?" Bill asked while licking the chocolate off his fingers.

"It's Mabel. She's asking where I am cause they're not gonna start movie night without me." I answer, "We should probably start going now anyway."

Bill nodded and stood up, "Let's go!"

I chuckle and stand up, "Yeah, let's."

As we start walking, a question pops into my head, "Hey Bill?"

"Yeah Pine Tree?"

"Do you think if we have other free days like this, you can show me more new supernatural stuff?"

"Of course!" he answered, smiling.

I smiled back at him.

You know, at the beginning of the summer, I was scared to come back to Gravity Falls.

I know I have Mabel and my Grunkles to help me, but with Bill, I don't just feel safe, I feel sane again.
