4- What Type of Girl Problems

Kendall ' s POV

Venny cursed under her breath and walked away. I sighed shaking my head.

There are many things you should and shouldn't do to Venny. You should: make her laugh, complement her, give her highfives, etc. You shouldn't, I repeat, shouldn't spill Smoothie on her. And it would have been fine but it got on her sketch book.

Last time, I remember telling her, no sketchbooks at the table, it's bad news. But no, she never listens. And now, she's going to blame Sam.

And it is partially  her fault but everyone knows you don't reach for the food. The waiter gives it to you.

"Um, yeah, I'm pretty sure you shouldn't have done that." Jen said while grabbing some napkins to clean the mess. Christopher and I nodded.

"Yeah," he said, "dropping smoothies on people isn't the best way to make a first impression."

"I know!" Sam snapped but breathed, "I mean, it was just an accident. It's not like I killed her." Jen, Christopher, and I all exchanged  glances.

"Right," I said, "but you shouldn't worry about you killing her. Just go and apologize."

She nodded, scooted past Jen, and walked towards the bathroom. I then sighed and looked over at the couple.

Christopher whispered something in Jen ' s ear and she blushed. She then proceeded to whisper something back in his ear.

"Come on, guys," I groaned, "I don't want to be a third wheel yet." They laughed and looked over at me.

"Okay, then," Christopher said, "You still haven't told me how Milla ' s doing?" I shrugged while sipping my unspoilt smoothie.

"Don't know, haven't gotten a text or call from her since last December." Jen nodded.

"Same, and it's like she just disappeared." Christopher sighed.

"Well, that is totally weird. What do you thi-"

He was cut off by Venny coming back with a pout. She gestured towards her band shirt.

"This was one of my favorite shirts!" She whined. She sat back down and traced lines with her straw.

"Where's Sam? I sent her in there to apologize a few-"

"Yeah, she never came to me." Venny cut me off. "You know, I don't think I really like her." I shook my head.

"Don't say that, it's her first day, cut her some slack."

"Yeah," Christopher nodded, "She seems very nice." But there was some slight hesitation when he spoke.

There was an awkward silence as we just sat there. I looked down at my watch and smacked my lips.

"Well, I think I should get home. See y'all tomorrow." I squeezed past Venny and waved.

"Bye!" They all chorused. I walked out the door and began my journey home. It wasn't very far, just a little less than a block

I thought about what happened. I mean, before the big spill. Sam was acting a bit weird but only towards...oh, lord! Please don't let it be true.

My thoughts were cut off by the sound of a car horn. I nearly jumped out of my skin and tried to find the source. I saw an old, beat down, red car right beside me. I immediately recognized it and smirked. I bent down so I was looking straight into the eyes of the driver.

"Dad told me to find you."

I sighed but entered the other side of the car and fastened my seat belt. I soon found myself consumed in my thoughts again and turned towards my older sibling.

"Jared?" I asked. He nodded, notifying me that he heard me, but didn't take his eyes off of the road. "When a girl," I continued, "likes you, but you just met, how do you know?" He shrugged.

"Why are you asking me? You know I have no experience with that stuff." I laughed and he laughed.  "But, I don't know, maybe she giggles alot, or blushes, sometimes she stares. Yeah, she would probably stare." I nodded. "Why?" I shrugged.

"Just...girl problems." He nodded but raised an eyebrow.

"Wait, which type of girl problems? Like, the whole horrible mood swings because it's 'that time of the month'"- I nearly choked -"or just drama?"

"Just drama." I answered quickly, not exactly wanting to have that type of conversation with my brother.

"Good," he sighed with relief, "because that would be really uncomfortable for me to speak about..." He looked at me. "Unless you need someone to talk about that stuff with. I may not be an expert but just know that I'm here."

"No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no!"
